  1. Hi ! With all due respect , please don't , you're posting in the wrong topic . This one is about Ex Kernel , not ISO installation . This marvellous topic (the top one here , I think) has already been polluted so many times . Please find the appropriate one. Besides , you're posting meaningless info . Here are the rules. https://msfn.org/board/guidelines/
  2. So you decided not to go that route ? BTW , I'm just curious why XP boots OK ?
  3. I assume the local population is totally ok with this . No reaction at all . They are all agree to be under full control ? BTW , in my country , esp. in big cities , if you don't have an ippone , preferably the latest , you're a loser and even below average females won't look at you . I used to date a younger girl , 8-9 years ago , when I had a good smartphone . I'll tell a funny story to cheer everyone up. I had a decent job that days , I could afford some things , just some . I don't know why she assumed that I'm rich . So we went on a couple of dates , then I invited her home . She didn't like my house , I could tell . We sat down on my couch to have a couple of drinks and watch some film . I turned on my PC with Core Quad and Windows Vista , oh man , you should've seen the look on her face , like I'm a vagabond , beggar , retard or something. And that was more than 8 years ago ! What would she think of me now ? I can't even imagine . Yeah , I'm still using Vista and like it very much. And I don't use a smartphone , but I think the NWO will force them as yet another mandatory here too and very soon . Excuse me if I've made mistakes , English is my third Language , I've studied Dutch at school.
  4. Hello and thank you . Yes, you're absolutely right , this is 64-bit Win7. No , I don't usually do right clicking , I usually drag'n'drop files to the bin , sorta my habbit , so this is not the case . I'll say more , it is simply enough just to open a folder with one executable and it becomes locked. Thank you for the link , I've read it , safe mode is actually not needed for me , since executables will be unlocked after some time . And the guy from the link has programmes installed . Mine is a clean install . Only drivers (Audio/Video). This issue is with SP1 and without too. Vista x64 and x86 with the same drivers' version [any service pack] works just excellent on that computer. I'm becoming more and more convinced that Win 7 is buggy by design , especially after reading your link.
  5. Why all , if only 4.7.2 was needed ?
  6. Thanks , do you remember the KB number , I'll add it to the bad list.
  7. I would like to invite @Win10-Hater to join our discussion . I think I read somewhere that he has all updates installed on Vista SP2. Please tell us what makes them good/bad , did you feel more secure , or maybe the PC became faster ?
  8. Well , it seems there won't be any solution . If MSFN can't help , I guess no one can . I'll just delete buggy Windows 7 and install XP 64 or Vista RTM without updates there.
  9. Where's the Downvote button ? Why , did you enjoy the punctuation or grammatical errors ? Have you tried these drivers yourself ? I think I read somewhere that you have a Haswell notebook. I still hope to put mine into usage with Vista or [at least] XP.
  10. Yes , I was just deleting the installer packages , not the actual drivers themselves . And I had tried another ISO with SP1 and without it , with the same results . I even created an empty file with the ".exe" extension , it can't be deleted , also . The same "file in use". It's like explorer automatically attaches itself to these files , but when I close the folder and wait , I can delete it/them. I had read about this exact same problem a long time ago , I think somewhere at Nvidia forums , but I wasn't going to use Win7 , so I just ignored it and deleted the bookmarked page. The issue was 100% the same. A guy was trying to delete an Nvidia installer package , but it was locked .
  11. Do you think it's possible they will work on POS embedded 2009 ? Perhaps you know , is there a big difference betwen the driver model in embedded 2009 and XP, I kind of liked the POS embedded theme. Thanks
  12. Warmest greetings from Europe ! Have you ever tried VLC player ? It works on XP and plays videos just fine , also free and without ads ! The link to the official version that plays all newest formats. https://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/3.0.5/win32/vlc-3.0.5-win32.exe Older version with more beautiful , high quality buttons / controls. , this one I had tried with XP myself https://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/2.2.4/win32/vlc-2.2.4-win32.exe
  13. So much for the "good" OS )))))) . As we can see now , it's not an isolated case , 'cause I've tried another ISO just several minutes ago , and it's all the same !
  14. Hello , I really appreciate your opinion , but as I wrote before - I have a clean install on a separate machine , I was just going to try out some programmes that evil developers blocked from running on Vista , it's the reason I had to install Win 7, only to try them out and see if they are worthy at all , I'm not gonna use Win 7 anyways , it's only for testing, and noticed this strange behaviour right away , when I was trying to delete Nvidia driver package (which came from official Nvidia's website) and Audio driver installer. I think I need to be more precise and describe all steps. 1 - Full HDD format (both HDDs in that PC) during the installation by the means of Windows. 2 - Installed the ISO from USB flash drive. The USB drive created by the free Rufus tool. 3 - Copied Nvidia and Audio drivers from my another PC that doesn't show such behaviour. 4 - Installed Nvidia and Audio drivers then tried to delete them from the folder on the second HDD . 5 - Got this bug right away "file in use" , deleted them only with the above method. 6 - Copied process explorer from my another PC and it says what I wrote before . 7 - The machine is not connected to the internet . 8 - No such problems with Vista. Do you think the ISO may be compromised ? It's a legit ISO and I think I'm pretty sure the hash was good . Well , I'll try another and get back with the details. The main important thing , I'm not the only one with this bug , the previos poster @Jaguarek62 had this exact same issue with Windows 7 RTM, did you see ?
  15. I really don't want to turn this into this "Vista vs. W7" nonsense , you use Windows 8.1 , fine , I respect your choice , please respect mine , okay ? If you want to help , let's discuss only this exact issue , thanks .
  16. I even tried installing what they call "SP2" (un-official name for kb3125574) over SP1, tried latest v4 , all the same. I knew win 7 is awful , but not to this point . I'm really glad I didn't touch it all these years . Thanks
  17. Now I will definitely NOT misspell your name ))))))))))))))))))))))
  18. It's 8.1.1.0, works FINE with Vista ! Pitch works too and very well . Hey , where's my upvote ?
  19. Installed just for you to see the option ! Yep , I was right ! Nero has "pitch tuning" option right in the Wave Editor !
  20. Hello , I really want you to share your Microsoft Windows Vista updates' experience ! I've never installed any updates on my Vista , and I'm still alive and well , no "evil viruses" during all these years (since approx. 2008) , when I first started to use Vista . Yes , I have Framework 4.0 installed , but that's pretty much it . Please stay on topic and try to include your hardware config , also KB number and you service pack , which was installed at the time of the mentioned update , this is a must . The description may be short , for example : "My PC started to freeze after the installation of KB x.x.x.x.", "My boot time increased by xx milliseconds , after KB x.x.x.x. The initial time was xxxx ", thank you very much. The idea is to create a database of the most successful / needed updates for each service pack !
  21. Hello all , first off , I'm a vivid Vista user . But sometimes I use Windows 7 for trying out some programmes . Right now I have a fresh install of Win 7 SP1 on my spare machine with Core Quad , it is not activated and absolutely clean from everything , except Audio/Video drivers . Something weird's going on , I can't delete executables . Process explorer says that they are locked by the system itself . The only way to delete an executable - close it's folder , wait for some time and delete this closed folder , without opening it again , otherwise it locks again. Tried switching Off defender , keeping only basic services , nothing helps . All help is really appreciated , thank you.
  22. I'm sorry , I don't know for sure , maybe Nero ? I remember I had a laptop which came with Nero 8 preinstalled , it was so long ago , I think it had something like that in it's Wave Editor. MPC-HC/MPC-BE is not for me , thanks , I don't like the controls.
  23. Thanks , I see , but the buttons are still ugly . I mean not much difference between these and the buttons I have . I think I'll just throw VLC away and start using another player . Thanks for the help , everyone .
  24. Hello , I'm sorry , I'm new here , maybe missed something , I just used search for "webgl" and it led me here . Would you mind letting know , why do you need WEbGL at all ? I've always thought webrtc , webgl , canvas and some others are the first things we need to disable. Thank you.
