Why my post number is stable, stopped...
XPerceniol replied to msfntor's topic in Site & Forum Issues
Well ... it wasn't one of my "better days" .. but, that is me I 'clean up well'. I'm actually the only one down here that even knows how to use a computer, not easy when you don't have fingers to type. I'm told: I have a face only a mother could love PS: Do you know, I never even check my post count. -

Yeah, its it strange that once we open our eyes (eyes wide open), we can't just close them to what we (now) know to be fact. I do wish I could just back to not caring. Was I happier, perhaps, but was it real, no. Looking back (trust me, way WAY back ... haha) I was unaware and trusted what people told me and it wasn't until my mid 30's that I suddenly started to question everything and seek truth. We all (hopefully) reach that point but I think some don't ever question anything (blind trust). I guess I was innocent and fresh-faced. Now, I'm a bit (more than a bit) jaded; sad to say. Yeah, sometimes need to get things off your shoulders, and that alone helps release the burden. I don't like change either, so how do we deal with change around us (ever changing) whilst trying to maintain stability and consistency ... please let me know if somebody figures that one out :)

I also look to see the new Mypal or whatever, but I do hope you won't give up on your 360 Chrome .

user_pref("general.oscpu.override", "Windows NT 10.0"); user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0"); user_pref("general.oscpu.override", "Windows NT 10.0; Win32; x86"); user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win32; x86; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0"); Actually, the 2nd is better overall for speed and videos do play without skipping. This is without setting general.platform.override. I suspect WOW64 might be another option going forward if sites start to do 'funny business' with 32 bit. AARRGGHH

Ya know, that is the key and all I'm looking for now, I think I just want to be left alone. Solitude and Solace aren't the same thing. You can find Solace being in Solitude. How to find 'peace of mind' in an world with no peace. Anybody have any advice? Sometimes, I question it.

My Browser Builds (Part 3)
XPerceniol replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
<OT> Don't worry everyone .. I've got this all figured out - I just messaged Angela Bennett and she'll straighten out this whole mess. She can work miracles; no question -P <OT> -
Again, thank you. Just trying to understand this if trying to Spoof FF 91 (or 78) on 32 Bit windows 10. Example 3: Windows 32-bit: Windows NT x.y user_pref("general.oscpu.override", "Windows NT 10.0; Win32; x86"); user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win32; x86; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0"); Are you saying what is in blue could be omitted and that general.platform.override should still be added and set to Win32? No rush to reply, of course, and/or maybe I'm just having 'one of those days' again PS: Of course, I (fully) realize this is not fooling what js reports when enabled.

Wow .. hey friend, that was fast I do now recall it was you that wrote that somewhere here in some discussion. My memory is fuzzy at times but I remember bits and pieces I see. Thank you for that advice as well, I will give that a UA a whirl. I hope you somehow find a way to enjoy what you can from the holidays even if the light and scents. Well, it should be quiet for me and I think I need it to be that way

My Browser Builds (Part 3)
XPerceniol replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
On my dell dimension desktop, the ONLY browsers I can use are New Moon 27 are Arcticfox. I don't use it much nowadays but I crank it up a few times a week. -
Hello and nice day; @Mathwiz better late than never. I am always a day late and (more than) a dollar short So, I've actually changed my UA as it came into light that since I'm actually running a 32 bit browser, the sites would be able to tell and feed the bower 64 bit ... I don't recall whom said this on here, but somebody said sites feed 64 bit worth of crap and only slows it down further, so better to report as 32 bit. I've been experimenting with FF5.9.1 and Serpent. I've (since) given up on FF now but was able to spoof only up to 62, but that is where it ended with that one - 63 and youtube didn't work at all. A spoof to 62 also worked with 45ESR and I had better results overall. Not that issue with Serpent. I no longer use New Moon for that matter, but may change my mind again depending on the future of Roytam's projects. I've found the 91 or 78 and things seem to work better compare to 'as is'. I didn't know that so thank you, so now have changed general.oscpu.override. Since I'm no longer spoofing a 64 bit OS as there was a win 10 32 bit version, presumably I don't even need to change general.platform.override any longer; yes/no? Sometimes, some sites seem to react better to FF78, but I've noticed things are changing so fast and things that worked even last month aren't the same user_pref("general.oscpu.override", "Windows NT 10.0; Win32; x86"); user_pref("general.useragent.compatMode.version", "91"); user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win32; x86; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0"); Thank you very much for you help and advice and happy holidays to you and yours

Try to be well, hard, but try as can be possible

Ugh ... somehow I missed that about our browser. Presuming Serpent likely logs as well. Good grief, can't we catch a break. I think (guess) keeping browser sessions short and sweet is the key, but I honestly don't know what to think anymore. Nothing shocks me anymore. I'm glad you posted it again and I'll read it later when I can actually absorb it. Thank!

"What do we even do at this point?" Yeah, sometimes I question this myself. On the bright side: Imagine when I'm old and grey (almost there) and "they" go through my life's history and "they" are scrutinizing every little thing I've done and written. My word ... how pathetic would they be, they only conclusion to be assumed after all is 'said and done' and I'm in a better place, is: Now that was a one sick pup

Ok .. I'm on VBulletin right now. I'm typing and 2 minutes after and look on the bottom right, my text was "Auto Saved" (logging). The forum software is logging us, but do we know that is saved even though I just closed the page abruptly. did the forum log "lalalalalal" ? Perhaps so, but we trust the site we are on isn't dubious for bad purpose. I really think most sites do this logging or auto save and who knows if its saved in the database forever. Sad to say, I assume it is saved (our typing) somewhere and every keystroke was logged. Sorry, but I trust MSFN because they haven't given reason to believe otherwise. Hope that at least eased your mind that this happens everywhere.

Hello there; D.. I know this is off topic and I did a search 2 times on the search box to try to find relevant information using the search terms *revert dx* *revert direct x* and only very old threads. I've looked up information on the new and tried the reg trick to get the installer to think dx9 isn't installed so it will ask for the recovery disk - that didn't work at all. Do you by any chance know how to revert back to older direct x? Oh, and, things actually just got worse when some posready patches were done to dx9. Ugh Thank you in advance. PS: This does not work. https://www.instant-registry-fixes.org/how-can-i-uninstall-directx-9/

Oh, I know that. This is mostly factory original hardware here, would you believe that. I'm afraid to remove anything as the parts are likely rusted in place. Sometimes I shake my head. I do miss those games from that era, but new games just are too big now Hate to say it, I actually did better before I did that damn upgrade from DX8 ... I tried everything to "revert' back and couldn't so I just live with it. 8 was more stable than 9 and without question faster on my system. One 1 GB Stick in slot 1 One 500 MB Stick in slot 2 One 500 MB Stick (going bad) in slot 3 With only 3GB or RAM (one 500 MB stick is going bad, so sometimes error ciy) and a hard drive with countless UNcorrectable errors bad sectors, I'm lucky I'm even able to do this much lol Hehe ..The GMA 3000 was a mobile integrated graphics solution by Intel, launched on June 1st, 2006. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/gma-3000.c3119

This is the latest directx I could get on my xp system? 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) Most games don't work at all.

I've been trying to find a way to ask this: I'm sort of thinking about the way Roytam does and patches up his browser from upstream. Is that the way it works with Chrome? Can old versions be patched and it there an "upstream" for us? Like, can we keep patching V11 and V13.5 to keep them running? Agan, My chrome knowledge is very basic and sorry for all the questions.

Yes, same issues with SuperBird portable (Chromium 44): "Your connection is not private"...but also same with DC Browser "not private" so have to just continue and ignore. Iron and Slimjet I get the browser not supported nag, but they do work ok with YT. This doesn't not happen at all with 360 Chrome ArcticFoxie Versions. Thus far, I'm hoping @NotHereToPlayGames will continue development. I'm not sure the plans, to patch (so to speak) the current version (somehow) or advance, but I think it would be a monster and I'm looking for a light chrome browser, and I'm happy with V11 and V13.5 - I use them both ;)
