Man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor. Don't lose the energy to endure, that is when they win. Sure, this will be a very weird holiday to far too many, but we can only get through this together. There is no other; sorry. We can not all agree, but we CAN agree to disagree. People used to have this ability when I was young but I see only madness now and it hurts ... hurts a lot. So much pain, some at my own hands I've caused - I fully admit that. Hard circumstances of life are (could be) indispensable to bringing out the best in humanity. Try, hard as it be sometimes, to be well and grasp on to whatever (even little) joys you can find this week.

The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love and to be greater than our suffering.

I also don't have the correct words ... just wouldn't it be a nice world with more love. I try hard to find a reason to get out of bed each day and sometimes that only reason is spite. I'm sorry to hear you guys are struggling right now ... we are in troubled times to say the very least. Will it get better, I just don't know even what "better" would be at this point we've gone so far down the toilet. I will say this is NOT the country my grandfather and dearly departed father explained I was to expect as 50 is not too far away for me.

My Browser Builds (Part 3)
XPerceniol replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
My soul be well - and be well my soul So .. back to regularly scheduled programing here in support of our @roytam1 ans his continued passions and dedication to maintain his projects. Reading now ... thank you very much for that share. Yeah, people have been quiet lately ... maybe busy shopping. My dearly departed father always reminded me that every day above ground is a good day and its not over until they throw the dirt on us. Tomorrow never comes, because when we get there, its today, so better make it count. Too bad others in the world aren't in agreement that there is strength in numbers. Hopefully its not too late. I'll admit sometimes I question this; myself. Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy, and safe holiday.

Awesome! Don't lose that determination. Sometimes its hard to find energy when life beats us down at every turn, its not so much about falling down (we all do), rather, how long we stay down. Find the burst and get back up to fight another day. Aside from the exhaustion you do sound focused. Best wishes and happy holidays to you

I was going with Zorin OS; as well, but it was messing with the MBR along with Acronis so had to let it go - It worked very well for what I needed but the dual-booting (tripple booting actually) was a nightmare.

I suspsed that many of us feel that MS turned evil after Vista.

Welcome back Life is full of change, isn't it. When you change the way you look at things - the things you look at will change. Sometimes good, sometimes, not so good; but either way, we can not go backwards. Well we can with our computers. I'm not religious (organized religion) but, rather consider myself to be - spiritual. ...the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference... I think that resonates with everyone regardless and that is not easy sometimes.

You're welcome, but he's right, enabling that flag decreases in DC and makes things worse in 360EE. I actually don't use DC browser because videos play better on 360 (for me). I notice they either skip or stop with the rotating circle on DC. I find --disable-gpu --enable-strict-mixed-content-checking helped in 360. You say V11 isn't working correctly?

Just for the record, I'm actually not paranoid and both browsers work/function very well and I feel they are secure (enough as can be) but perhaps lacking in other areas. I'm not at all worried; I realize some need to be concerned with privacy and (so called) anonymity and I get that, perhaps in repressed areas of the word, folks need to take this seriously. Its just good to know/realize that anything can be exploited these days; sad to say in this new internet world. A bit dismayed that even our 360EE still gives me 20 red, but, again, it works very well and I don't know enough at all about Chrome to even begin to come up with solutions, but hopefully, in our effort(s) and continued development here, we'll improve overtime. They have worked very hard to make this even possible and we mustn't take their hard wok for granted.

You're quite welcome. Sorry for the typos ... I mean *wistful* instead of wishful, and, of course, yesterday (without the s)

OTOH: Not so good with DC Browser (Chrome/75.0.3770.100) 22 red Which is strange as I use: --ssl-version-min=tls1.2 --enable-strict-mixed-content-checking Site Settings: Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended) - yes Keep local data only until you quit your browser - yes Block third-party cookies - yes Prevent third-party websites from saving and reading cookie data - yes And the flag: chrome://flags/#reduced-referrer-granularity Looking through the other flags; I don't see anything that would help with this.

Ummn .. how did I only get 9 on serpent 52? 3rd party cookies blocked and 1st party isolate is active. Other than that and my enormous prefs.js, I don't know what I'm doing right. Version 52.9.0 (32-bit) Build ID 20211110012942 Spoofed - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win32; x86; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0

Glad to see you Yeah, all those emotions: anger, anxiety, stress, depression, feeling lonely (isolation) ... know you're not alone. Of course, you know (easier said than done) we need to try and take control of our emotions before they take control of us. I (personal) feel wasted negative energy takes its toll on mental health and physical health unless we let it out and vent sometimes - one good thing about the internet for those folks that don't have people to open up to IRL. Pent up emotion is a recipe for illness. To me: its about prioritizing and managing what areas we have control. We can't fix everything in the world, only thing we can change is ourselves and our outlook. Wishing you well with your studies and your future. Yeah, sometimes, easy to look back and get wishful but yesterdays is over; history, and tomorrow is a mystery

Never heard of that ... will check it out @msfntor. If it weren't for green tea ... a life-saver for me. Green tea has so many health benefits and a dear friend has recommended honey over agave. Herbal tea is a all around experience for me and I (strongly) recommend it :)

So ... here we go again. Another article that reminds me that its time to barbecue the old clunker and dig out the abacus and grandfather clock out of the moldy basement and forget about electronics altogether Seriously, got to always be serious - no time for funny business. https://thehackernews.com/2021/12/14-new-xs-leaks-cross-site-leaks.html I see mitigation techniques mentioned for only firefox and nothing about Chrome?! " At the end-user side, turning on first-party isolation as well as Enhanced Tracking Prevention in Firefox have been found to decrease the applicability of XS-Leaks. Intelligent Tracking Prevention in Safari, which blocks third-party cookies by default, also prevents all leaks that are not based on a pop-up. I prefer to always block 3rd party cookies; always. Perhaps there exists something 'along the lines' of First Party Isolation in Chrome that I'm unaware of. Isn't it nice when they scare you with no solution. If the microwave were big enough I'd try to just hide in it. Oh, and, by the way; I know (first hand) now, the refrigerator light does go out when you close the door Any thoughts about possible mitigation to lesson vulnerability?
