  1. I agree - there are far too many distributions and I wish the focus could be on the main reliable ones.
  2. Even though I do use Linux, I don't see it ever dethroning MS.
  3. Thank you and I will look into that dns resolver you mentioned. I hope you're doing well.
  4. Yeah I do have a Blu-ray player but an old TV so it defeats the Blu-ray experience.
  5. I also didn't know that and I have to edit my DMs and postings to correct mistakes I usually make until my brain catches it.
  6. Very very rough day today and I'm not doing very well. Gonna eat dinner soon.
  7. Searching (2018) ON DVD Directed by - Aneesh Chaganty Starring - John Cho Debra Messing and Joseph Lee
  8. Thank you VERY VERY much @seven4ever (I ran out of likes) you solved this issue with that article!!! I followed your advice and now here is my results for Mypal68. I NOW have a secure connection to 1.1.1.1. Solved!
  9. I really get the feeling it is included I just don't know what to do with the settings/pfefs. Hopefully somebody can help us. Here is what I show: Also: network.http.altsvc.enabled;true network.http.altsvc.oe;true EDIT: I just manually added the string: network.trr.default_provider_uri;https://mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query Still the same result on the test and can not get a secure connection to 1.1.1.1
  10. I don't recall that I ever had a bad experience at the theater other than I just stopped going and the agoraphobia got worse MUCH worse over the years and I'm now very isolated. I don't go out much anymore unless I need to.
  11. They still indeed do make DVD's, just check Walmart or Target and the newest releases are out every month.
  12. I believe you are right, that would account for the Secure SNI part, but I'm more concerned about Secure DNS. Anybody listening on the wire can see the DNS queries I made even though both my router and devices are set to use 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. It detects that I AM using a secure DNS resolver but not over a secure connection. This is directly from the test result itself as you can see in the picture. Thank you for the reply seven4ever
  13. I have: The Matrix Resurrections (2021) in 2022, The Matrix trilogy (1999, 2003), Idiocracy (2006) and A Quiet Place (2018) in 2019 on DVD. I've been turning to my old DVD collection because network TV is limited and I can hardly stream at all on my devices now because the sites have all become so heavy and XP just isn't up to the job; sad to say. I find Linux to be better for watching movies online rather than XP.
  14. After doing research I realized Encrypted Hello is not possible on FF68ESR so my main concern is why secure DNS is not activated. anybody listening on the wire can see the DNS queries I made even though both my router and devices are set to use 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. It detects that I AM using a secure DNS rosolver but not over a secure connection. Huh ........ ....... does this mean mypal68 cant not securely meet up to any secure and private DNS like Quad9? Do you buy any chance know what is happening @Sampei.Nihira - you've always been very helpful with these tests. Thank you in advance and I realize you are busy so no quick reply is needed ... I'm not leaving any time soon. https://www.cloudflare.com/ssl/encrypted-sni/
  15. The Hills Have Eyes on DVD (1977) Directed by Wes Craven
  16. Also the same for Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit BETA v1.10.3.1001. March 13 is the last update, as well. I'll keep it and I backed up the latest update (Configuration Files), but got rid of v1.75.0.1300 and am now using Rogue Killer.
  17. 2. These are my only settings for DNS that I use on mypal68. I mean to put this under the last posting - I use 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 on my router and in the XP connection network settings.
  18. https://www.cloudflare.com/ssl/encrypted-sni/ Hi everyone! 2 Questions here regarding "Secure DNS" and "Secure SNI (hello)" 1. Is there a setting I'm missing because even though I am using CF (1.1.1.1) I can't any longer get a secure connection on Mypal68 which means anybody listening on the wire can see the DNS queries I made - I could have sworn that at one time a while (perhaps 3b as I'm now using 9b) back then I was getting a secure connection to 1.1.1.1 but not now, as you can see. Please also see pictures on the next posting regarding Secure DNS. Regarding SECURE SNI (hello) which means anybody listening on the wire can tell which sites I made a tls connection to. @grey_rat ... do you by any chance know what I'm asking or @feodor2? I Have that only hello pref set false (default). (security.tls.hello_downgrade_check;false) network.dns.echconfig.enabled network.dns.http3_echconfig.enabled network.dns.echconfig.fallback_to_origin_when_all_failed security.tls.ech.grease_probability security.tls.ech.grease_size security.tls.ech.grease_http3 security.tls.ech.disable_grease_on_fallback network.dns.force_waiting_https_rr These are not available. Should I add manually? Thanks for any advice. Sal PS: Sorry about the multiple edits ... I'm struggling pretty badly today, so I'm sorry if I make little sense. I know I goofed up my postings a little. Again, sorry.
  19. OK, guys, I'll take your word for it and stay with Serpent 02-24-24 for the meantime until we get another update. I also don't update until I see others here are not experiencing anything strange. I experience something strange every day when I wake up and look in the mirror and see this! Kidding; or am I?! All kidding aside: Mega seems fine with my dirty profile:
  20. Yeah, I'm online on 2 others right now (XP Forum and Eclipse) and sometimes forums can be a headache and add to stress rather to a distraction, when this happens its break time and real life has to come first. I've learned a lot here I will say that but on other busy forums my postings would likely go unnoticed because I don't have the knowledge others do. So yeah, I get it.
