  1. press login at the top of the page; on the left you enter your username and password, and on the right you have the choice of ticking : 1. Remember me 2. Log me in as invisible <----- untick this. It's either this, or you may not be logged in after all.
  2. The blinking cursor does not show in Full Edit mode; however, in Quick Edit mode all is fine.
  3. See THIS. I got it from a google search, and then there is The Database, also listed on the previous page. I think it should do the trick for you.
  4. Are you trying to download it or open it with Adobe Reader? Which versions of IE and Adobe Reader are you using? Have you tried reinstalling Adobe Reader? If you're trying to open it, maybe the plug-in is disabled. Is it always on the same website? Does the link really lead to a download? Please, provide more information.
  5. Extract the drivers with 7-Zip, WinRAR, Universal Extractor or whatever you have. After that, go to this SECTION and look at the sticky posts. There are quite a few ways of adding SATA/RAID/AHCI drivers to an install CD.
  6. setup.ex_ from WinSetup-1-0-beta4\files\winsetup\PyronSetup\i386\ is reported as TR/Expl.IMG-WMF.bts Trojan by Antivir Personal. VirusTotal shows that only 2 products recognize it as a threat (Avira is not one of them???). I have taken the liberty of submitting it for inspection as a false positive.
  7. Well, the thing is that no one can answer your question truly. I'm guessing maybe you want to install it from a 128MB USB ? The thing is, no one can tell you what to remove from XP so that it reaches a certain size; you choose what to remove/keep according to your needs. So, after you know what you are going to use the pertinent machine for, then you will know what you can remove. nLite's forum also has a sticky post on what not to remove from the XP install so you keep your functionality. After you go through what I've suggested, feel free to ask specific questions.
  8. I suggest a quick search through the Application Add-ons sub-forum of nLite (where this post should have appeared) on other users' experiences with AVG9 (I recall it was a bit tricky). If you find the correct switches, you may have to enter them manually into your addon maker.
  9. See if this helps http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=330181
  10. Is the CD already copied to a hard drive, or you pointed nLite to the source CD? This second option is better, because nLite will copy all (even potentially hidden files). Also, is everything in order with .NET Framework 2.0 on the host PC you are using? Third and last, which OS are you using as a host for nLite?
  11. Same 3 DLLs here. Google search indicates they belong to Movie Maker which I have removed (I guess you too, johnhc), so they're not on the CD either. Still, I don't see how this helps.
  12. My suggestion is not to stop your work while we try to figure out what could be wrong with nLite. You can still integrate SP3 manually, add SATA drivers with DriverPacks and use a WINNT.SIF file to make it unattended (you said that's all you used nLite for, so all those procedures can also be done without it). For help on this suggestion, check put the other sub-forums for help with unattended and drivers. Cheers
  13. I suggest you use search and look for the so called "True Addons".
  14. so, it's not just with bookmarked links, I also experienced problems when I use search; most of the links take me to the homepage. Cheers
  15. Updated to latest version 23/01/2010 Rev.3222 by clsid
  16. you could try taskkill.exe
  17. Tray button is to minimize it to tray (next to time, volume etc.)
  18. cluberti, thank you very much; I don't believe anybody would have provided me with this level of inquiry and help. FYI, Broadcom refers me to the OEM manufacturer, and HP are "very sorry, but this model is not currently supported for on-line assistance". Back to Mr. Jinje's conclusion from post #11.
  19. Go to Program Files/nLite/Presets and you will find all the .ini files.
  20. Put all driver folders into one folder and instruct nLite with the second option, to get multiple drivers. It will take all the .inf files, but only install the one needed for your PC. As to the SATA/AHCI drivers, you have to install them in TXT mode (not PnP), and I think (maybe someone can confirm it) that if you choose IASTOR.inf, it will also copy IAHCI.inf, and the other way around. Also, make sure to integrate SATA/AHCI drivers last in the process.
  21. Well, I did it! and WOW, it restarted the whole PC; drivers were installing anew, screen resolution took time to be fixed, but the problem remained. I made a dump with debugging tools HERE and there is something different in Device Manager; it shows two different things under Computer (before it showed only ACPI Multiprocessor PC)
  22. Ye ye ye..CabTool 1.8 is also recognized as a virus by NOD32, but it doesn't mean it is. I even reported it HERE. After you install it, with Antivirus OFF, it works just fine.
  23. Well, what the heck, I'll try anything at this moment, you just tell me how. And to calm Mr. Jinje's spirits: yes, a new install will solve things and is more efficient than the time spent for diagnostics, but isn't it more fun like this? Cheers
  24. And, of course, there is this sticky topic: http://www.msfn.org/board/not-remove-some-...ams-t66361.html which explains what not to remove from Windows if you have some software you want to run.
  25. Very much true jaclaz, but rdxvin123 already mentioned he was using nLite.
