  1. Well, first of all, if by "We" you mean an organization, then you are not allowed to use nLite, since it is for personal use only. I personally don't think we should answer any more questions until we clarify this.
  2. The backgrounds are in C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper; Also see C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes
  3. Well, the built-in Disk Defragmenter doesn't always do the job, does it? I suggest you use Google search and find a free defragmenter (believe me, there are plenty of them) where you will find options for adjusting what you want to defragment. With no intent of advertising, I'd suggest Smart Defrag which will defragment only the fragmented files if you tell it to. Note: I use a 32-bit XP, but the website does not emphasize it is for 32-bit systems only. Enjoy
  4. johnhc already explained; open the folder where you put the files from your Windows CD and inside you will find a file LastSession.ini and LastSession_u.ini. If you have a problem, just attach the first. Enjoy
  5. Apply SP2 with no fear, as any service pack is cumulative and contains everything previously released. I would even recommend SP3. It's still a good idea to create your CD on XP as a host OS. If you use search in the forum, you will find plenty of posts with users' experiences on their integration of service packs. Enjoy
  6. Use the Silent .NET Maker, it's a great tool with many possibilities.
  7. Just open msconfig through Start->Run and find the process in the Startup or Services tab. Then untick it and it should solve the problem. You could also open Regedit through Start->Run and find the process name and delete it, but only if you know what you're doing. A back-up is also recommended.
  8. Dysharm, that lsass.ese error is exactly what is causing the error, not nLite. Write down the exact text of the error and then use search (a google bar at the top of the page) to find it on this forum. Several different lsass.exe errors have been reported and there are several methods of solution.
  9. /a <Product.msi> Administrative install - Installs a product on the network
  10. Use command prompt. So, take the package and rename it to steam so the full package is steam.msi. Copy/paste it in C:\ and open command prompt. Enter these lines: 1. cd c:\ 2. steam.msi /a and follow the procedure on the screen.

  12. http://www.msfn.org/board/avg-9-silent-ins...tml#entry894478 And I suggest you try search first before you post the next one, as many of these have already been discussed throughout the forums Enjoy
  13. see THIS
  14. You also have an option to make your own add-on. Put IE8.exe and its updates into one folder (make sure the files have their original names) and use this Add-on maker and it will create an add-on which you can put in the Updates and Hotfixes section in nLite to install at T-13. I can't tell about the others, but I have used it successfully (using it at the moment, actually). Need I mention that it also works for localized versions? Enjoy
  15. Check post #5 HERE since you have WinRAR and see if it works for you.
  16. Also requires Image Mastering API (IMAPI) v.2.0 on install. Edit: after reading through jaclaz's post #30 and the official webpage, it states that apart from IMAPI v.2.0, .NET Framework 2 is also required for XP users.

  18. @ strel: I just downloaded the last version 20091207 and felt I should report this, as it has never happened before: extraction of the following files 7zSD.sfx, _SNMsynth.ini, _SNMsynth.cmd and _35SP1_KB963707FIX_NOFFADDONPROPERTY.7z failed with a diagnostic error: Unknown method in (each one of the above given file names)... This happened with WinRAR 3.90 (I have a trial). I tried WinRAR on a few other archives and there were no problems. However, the archive extracted just fine with 7-Zip. I even tested the extracted files for a T-13 add-on of .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 with updates; the creation was successful, so I'm not really sure what happened. Recommendation to all: use 7-Zip, just in case.
  19. They are both in one archive HERE
  20. Driverpacks are always unpacked in the root of the system hard disk, so that appropriate drivers can be found and installed. I can't remember at the moment if it was at T-18, T-13 or even T-12 with cmdlines.txt. I suggest you use search and find appropriate commands to delete files and/or folders through Command Prompt, and then add the batch file with the commands to the GuiRunOnce in the Unattended section of nLite, which will be executed at first logon. Cheers

  22. For the first I think you need this, but if I'm wrong, please someone correct me. [GuiUnattended] OemSkipWelcome=1 For the second, well..., are your graphic drivers installed BEFORE the resolution comes into effect? Since the default resolution is 800x600. What you want to do works for me, but I use nLite and integrate drivers. [Display] Xresolution=1024 Yresolution=768 BitsPerPel=32 Vrefresh=60
  23. mba2431, you never gave us your LastSession.ini, but IE8 hotfixes can only be integrated if there is previously IE8 on your system. Since it's not (IE6 is default), this can cause many strange problems. So, how do you integrate IE8 on your CD? Do you use an add-on? You know, there is an add-on maker that can process IE8 with all its updates into one add-on that integrates perfectly (personal experience) HERE, so why no try that? Enjoy

  25. Put windows installer 4.5 into hotfixes and updates Section, it can be slipstreamed into CD. IE8 add-ons: HERE. Localised versions (different languages) HERE. Create your own addon with THIS.
