  1. Add this command to Entries.ini nameofsetup.exe /SILENT /NOREBOOT /SN=XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX /WRITE_SN or use the nLite Add-on Maker (I'm pretty sure Nero is included) to automatically create the add-on. Other methods are through a .reg file or NCAB to slim it down. Use search right here on the forum for more info. Enjoy
  2. Updated to latest version 17/11/2009 Rev.3133 by clsid
  3. One more thing at this point: I would like to ask you to be specific in the title your topic posts; please refer to Forum Rules at the top of the page (#12 in this case). Doing this will attract answers from members that have experience in the specific query.
  4. AHRIMANSEFID, I clicked the link you put and I downloaded with no problem.
  5. Orgyx, to see if you have correctly created the users and passwords, open LastSession_u.ini and scroll to the bottom of the page. It should contain a list of all your users and assigned passwords for them. If possible, attach it here, but first remove your product key and the actual passwords. Cheers
  6. My advice: Don't skip the first two screens. In the unattended section, when selecting and creating users, click the Administrator (on the left) and add a password (on the right). This way you won't get the Administrator screen; add computer name on the next tab in nLite, where you also add the registered user name and Workstation/Domain (make sure computer name is not the same as your username). Enjoy
  7. First of all, this is a post for the nLite forum. IE8 can't be added in that section; you can add an add-on or install it silently with switches, the choice is yours (use search here for any of the options). This goes for the other add-ons as well (WinRAR, Unlocker...). A lot of your other questions can be answered HERE Default wallpaper: take the image you want to have as default. Rename it to Bliss (in .jpg format). Copy/paste it to C:\. Open Command Prompt and type in this command: makecab c:\bliss.jpg c:\bliss.jp_ Then copy/paste (replace) bliss.jp_ in the i386 folder.
  8. And if you're looking for a 64-bit version of IE8, it's HERE
  9. Well, here is a guide from the official site (available even in Japanese) HERE It includes photos, so it will make things much easier for you. This one is even better (more recent photos).
  10. A simple question that would require tons of reading, but I'm sure you can give me a YES/No answer: some government institution is holding an auction on used laptops (obviously VLK) along with OS (XP Professional) installed. If I buy one, is the license transferred to me automatically?
  11. msxml6-KB954459-enu-x86.exe can be properly integrated into nLite; I know this because I have done it. Can't say anything about the Japanese version, but it shouldn't make any difference, right? I'm a bit confused as to why Patosan is choosing nLite for XP modification, and not taking advantage of all those beautiful Unattended features, Regional settings being one of them.
  12. 1. It's recommended that you restart after the installation of IE8 and before other IE8 updates; 2. NO, I don't think so; 3. Someone else will help you with this; 4. When you install the update/hotfix, it updates for the file in WMP9, so when you install WMP11, of course it will need other files in the same hotfix for WMP11 (BTW, if you extract one of these hotfixes, you will see there is the same file inside for update, but for different versions of WMP in different folders). Basically, it reads the player on your system and replaces the corresponding file. Reinstalling the hotfix will probably write new information in the registry only about the version of the updated file.
  13. You don't have to, this one is already included in nLite as a tweak, just find it and tick it. Otherwise, GuiRunOnce is recommended.
  14. YOur Service Pack 3 is a pre-release (5.1.2600.3311); the correct version is 5.1.2600.5512, so first get the latest version of SP3, not a BETA version. Also, look at THIS
  15. Well, thank you for living up to your promise of a complete re-write of the Firefox Maker :-). So, from what I can see, we can only create a switchless installer now.
  16. Some antivirus products reported Unlocker 1.8.7 and Unlocker 1.8.8 as a virus. I already knew that, so I disabled antivirus protection when I added Unlocker to the CD. However, once Unlocker is installed, AV products don't seem to complain. It's possible that your AV removed Unlocker, you weren't notified about it, but the lines in install files remained and produced an error.
  17. CabTool is HERE, in the second post. If the link doesn't work, I will upload it later this afternoon. Enjoy
  18. Your answer is in this post. Search here and on google can also help you a lot, and I strongly recommend you to try this method before you post. Enjoy
  19. See THIS and THIS. I successfully used the first method to make a silent installer for 75 fonts during Windows Setup. I also ran it from RunOnce with a batch file through the $OEM$ folder, and it worked too.
  20. Sorry, wrong post. BTW, which Office version are you talking about?
  21. You will have to be more specific; people usually make their own reg tweaks to suit their needs. You can do this by exporting setting from the Windows Registry for e.g. Have a look at THIS. It may help you.
  22. That is the correct folder, and yes, the files are unpacked in order to be installed. You can find the update number on the .CAT file. You can use the QFE folder to get the exact file according to the SP you have on your PC (SP2 or SP3). You can also manually run update.exe and they will install in the normal way.
  23. May we know which program you are using to burn the CD? Some of them have an option to create a bootable CD, and some programs also have an option to create a bootable ISO, which you can then burn. The most comon advice I found through search is to burn at lower speeds. Another good advice is to use a rewritable CD/DVD which you can test against a virtual machine. Let us know about your progress. Cheers
  24. See HERE post #7 about how to properly integrate a service pack without nLite. BTW, /i is for integrate.
