  1. Just put them in one folder (if you are using XP, you can delete the ones for Vista or for x64, you need the folders Lang and All) and when in nLite, choose to integrate a driver folder instead of an individual driver. Point to that folder and that's it. nLite will do the rest. I have added infinst.exe, previously extracted with the Universal Extractor, but my PC does not have SATA, and all I can find on the Intel download page for P43 Express chipset is SATA and RAID drivers and utilities for ICH6.
  2. No, this is the case: in a matter of one hour I installed and uninstalled xpize, so I really didn't have the time to take a deeper look at the modification of files. When I noticed this file, I normally did a search for this extension and one of the hits on Google showed Rootkit, so I panicked and quarantined it. So, this is a case of a file that was not removed in the course of uninstall. I suppose it's okay to just delete it. I may add that you've put quite an effort into assembling this piece of software; I was expecting a better look for sure (and I got it), but noticed changes more comprehensive than I imagined. One thing I didn't like a lot was the replacement of oemlogo.bmp and oeminfo.ini. Still, I give you a big thumbs-up. Thank you for your answer and keep on the good work.
  3. I'm just interested if xpize makes back-ups of files with this extension or I did the right thing by manually quarantining the file. The file in question is RTHDCPL.exe(.anofp), part of Realtek Audio Driver. Thanks
  4. Hi johnhc, I'm not sure why, but certainly not because it has already been modified. Just for the sake of your post I downloaded it and ran it; it showed that I had 100 open connections (10 is default, previously modified with nLite). I increased them to 101 and no problem. From what I could read in the change log, it supports operating systems up to Vista SP2, both 32 and 64-bit, so... Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to compare the tcpip.sys file version against your last TCP/IP update from MS, just to be on the safe side.
  5. Thank you both; following the link Radix provided, I found this value: PreventCodecDownload=1 in the Registry Editor and changed it to 0. That did the trick right away.
  6. Well, if it is a part of a driver, why not try to integrate the whole driver through the .inf file? If not, I would suggest adding it to the $OEM$ folder in the following path: SourceCD\$OEM$\$$\System32\xxUSBxx.dll This will copy the file to System32 during install; then you will probably need to register it. You can do this through a batch file; open Notepad and copy/paste this command regsvr32 "C:\Windows\System32\xxUSBxx.dll" (if windows is installed on C:\). Save the file in the root of your source CD as register.cmd and add it to nLite through the RunOnce section in Unattended like this: cmd /R %source%register.cmd I must encourage you to test this before you actually install.
  7. Look at this or find Kel's Quick Launch Enabler add-on for nLite that also contains .inf files that could help you out.
  8. Go to this site and download their tool; I think it is the same one used in nLite. It will tell you exactly how many connections you have made (I see you set it to 256) and allow you to change that number. I don't know what went wrong with that setting. Maybe it's this one : Internet Explorer-Set Internet Explorer to accept 10 connects at a time.
  9. After not being able to play a .wav file, I decided to have a look at my LastSession.ini and found that I had selected this tweak: Windows Media Player-Disable automatic codec download. This is the first time I've actually needed it, since I use the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, which includes FFDShow. Although I have enabled all codecs even remotely related with the .WAV format, the files I need still won't play. Does anybody know how to re-enable this option, so I could possibly download the codec? Thank you for your suggestions
  10. KB898461 installs a permanent copy of Package Installer for Windows to enable software updates to have a significantly smaller download installs from Windows Update. You can get it here and add it to nLite; I did. It's meant for SP1 and SP2, but it wasn't included in SP3, so disregard that point from the download page.
  11. Updated to latest version 03/11/2009 Rev.3124 by clsid and icl
  12. 1. Copy your XPSP2 CD in a folder, e.g. C:\XPCD\; 2. Put SP3 in folder C:\SP3\ and extract it (you can use 7-Zip, it's free); you should get a i386 folder 3. Open Command Prompt and enter this command C:\SP3\i386\update\update.exe /Integrate:C:\XPCD\ Now you have an XPSP3 CD. Make an .ISO (open nLite, point it to your new XPSP3 folder and only choose the option to create the .ISO file) and after that use it every time you want to work with nLite. You add the OnePiece pack later with nLite.
  13. Yes, I do; however your method does not comply with home rules. Has it ever occurred to you that this may be the exact reason for failing in certain things that you do? First things first: look at this post #4 about how to get your own CD in less than half an hour. Then check if you have done anything to remove or wrongly set the services in the attached image.
  14. Thumbs up from me strel, this new version definitely solved the problem for me. Thank you
  15. ;# Directories # DOCS ETH0 <--- And what's this folder? Not the Eth0 XP pirated versions? SUPPORT VALUEADD
  16. Option 2, each and every time, i.e. fresh source (if you want to expect a solid and stable result).
  17. I did another one incorporating what is said above plus a few changes; the result is still the same (see post #490). I'm also attaching the log inside OUT1 from this latest experiment. Edit: I extracted the package and verified that the necessary files (newer versions in accordance with MS's description) are indeed inside, so the question is why aren't they updated in the Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ folder.

    SCSI DRIVERS

Ponch saves the day again! Here they are after I extracted them using his advice; strange, but although I use software for virtual CDs, it never occured to me to go that way and look for virtual floppies. Someone with more wit should probably have a look at the txtsetup.oem file to see if it is suitable for CD integration or there is a need to modify. Cheers everybody non_RAID_SCSI_Dell_Drivers.zip

    SCSI DRIVERS

Unfortunately, I'm working from a notebook, so no floppy here; I really don't know if that's the one he needs; he only mentioned that the drivers he found were for a floppy (posts #1 and #3), and hasn't replied to my request for more information. You can see for yourself in the previous posts. However, I am a bit curious on how to work with this type of file; I've come across something similar before and I didn't solve it then.

    SCSI DRIVERS

Hello johnhc, check my previous post (#6) at the underlined part "the package". By the way, I've already tried that method and it only displays info about the driver package; no option to extract. I guess what enescrv really needs is someone to extract it to a floppy and then possibly modify the files to run from CD instead of a floppy, similar to what I've read in some other posts about floppy drivers and F6. Cheers

    SCSI DRIVERS

Considering is the package he was referring to; I tried to open it with the Universal Extractor, but it didn't work (the error was: NSIS installer, but unsupported). The package is a floppy image for the non-RAID SCSI drivers and I presume enescrv stumbled upon it every time trying to find the appropriate package. It's 988KB, therefore too big to upload here.

    SCSI DRIVERS

Do you need RAID or non-RAID drivers? Because the RAID drivers can be extracted without problems
  23. I compared the versions; mscordacwks.dll has 2.0.50727.3082 version, which should be at least 2.0.50727.3603. I checked if 20SP2_KB974417FIX.mst was in the folder; affirmative. I'm attaching PROCESSDATA.txt so you can check it out and point me to possible errors in my procedure. Thank you for your prompt reply.

Do a GOOGLE search with your hard disk's brand.
  25. I made a silent installer with .NET 2.0SP2, NDP20SP2-KB958481-x86.exe and NDP20SP2-KB974417-x86.exe. NDP20SP2-KB974417-x86.exe still shows on Windows update. Could you give me some file versions to check if this update is really integrated and installed?
