  1. Which application are we talking about?
  2. I replaced wdmaud.drv in Safe Mode with a fresh one from SP3.cab, but it made no difference. HERE's another dump, this time with page heap enabled.
  3. Well, first of all, this post should be moved to the nLite forum. If your drivers are packed, you have to unpack them (use 7-zip or the Universal Extractor). Put the extracted contents in folders and all into one folder called Drivers. Open nLite and from the very beginning choose the option Integrate Drivers, so later when the screen is open, choose the option to integrate multiple drivers and point nLite to your Drivers folder. Important notice: if you want to integrate SATA/RAID drivers, you have to integrate them as TXT, not PnP, and make sure they are integrated last, so they are read first during Windows Setup (in text mode).
  4. Well, I un- and re-installed the audio driver (a newer one was not available) and the update app from Broadcom failed miserably as it didn't recognize the Bluetooth device at all. I managed to find and download (from a trusted site) a newer driver, which installed fine. The error repeated again, so I went for a new dump, but Command Prompt came out with a warning: C:\Program Files\Debugging Tools for Windows (x86)\adplus.vbs(3150, 5) (null): The event log file is full. So, how do I clear (or increase) the event log? I found a command !evlog clear, but where do I enforce it? BTW, I can't use SFC, as I'm out of the country and I don't have a Windows CD with me (nor an MSDN account). Will it make any difference if I download SP3 and replace (I guess it can be done in Safe Mode) wdmaud.drv ? I really feel we're getting somewhere, unlike many other people whose posts I read through the web, so I don't want the post to fall into oblivion.
  5. It worked like a charm, and since there were quite a lot of files (over 60MB), I used 7-zip (now app. 7.5MB) and uploaded to THIS LINK. Thank you for your productive ideas.
  6. delphi88, download the ORK (Office Resource Kit) 2003 HERE and when installing it, choose Custom Installation Wizard in order to make an administrative install. Copy your Office CD in a folder on your hard disk, start the installation wizard (you will find it in the Start menu under Microsoft Office) and point it to the Office folder. Now you can put in the serial number, choose which programs to install or not and many other things. Jacobp, I always install Office from a batch file at first login. After you do an administrative install, use Office Shrinker that will reduce the size of the installation folder. For example, my Office CD is about 400MB; after the administrative install it's about 600MB, but after Office Shrinker it's only about 270MB. I don't use Outlook and Visio, but some are even more extreme. Many have asked for an add-on for Office 2003, but this REALLY works, so why complicate it? If you need help for the batch file, just PM me, write a reply here, or use search.

  8. Well, I didn't see any specific "Access denied" errors, but there were plenty "Not found" markers for files and registry keys; so, I'm uploading the results for that process in hope it will mean more to some of you than it means to me. Thanks again
  9. I chose to post here because this is more a software than a hardware problem. BTtray.exe reported that it could not start BTStackServer.exe, so I hit google search. There were a few solutions offered, like disabling BTtray.exe from MSCONFIG, reinstalling drivers, virus scans etc., but none worked. The driver version is 5.5.0.5700 by Broadcom (supplied by HP as HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth 2.1 Wireless Technology), dated 12/5/2008. Finally, I opened Program files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth software and located BTStackServer.exe. Double-clicking revealed a new error 0xc0000005, which I traced through search as memory access violation, and I just don't know how to deal with that. It may help that the same error occurred a few days ago (still present) on sndvol32.exe, i.e. Volume. I would really appreciate any suggestion. P.S. Info: HP Compaq 615 Notebook PC with XP 32-bit, AMD Turion x2 Mobile at 2.2 GHz, 2 GB of DDR2 RAM, ATI Radeon HD3200
  10. Actually, it's just Turion x2, not Turion Neo x2 or Turion Ultra x2, but I found that it did and thank you for your answer. I don't know how I missed it.
  11. This notebook I'm working on has an AMD Turion x2 64 RM-74 processor, 2.2GHz and 1MB L2, but after half an hour thriugh google and AMD support pages I still can't find whether it has AMD-V technology, which would allow XP mode in Windows 7 (it's my wife's notebook and I was thinking of upgrading). Furthermore, I guess the real question is how much would I really need XP mode? Thank you for a simple YES or NO answer to the first question.
  12. reza, please use search on this website and google to find similar posts. This is one example I found http://www.msfn.org/board/editing-winntbbu...font-t8696.html
  13. Go to Device manager and check if any of the hardware has the option "Allow this device to resume from stand-by" enabled (ticked). First suspect: the network card. This is for XP.
  14. Or, take the long and slow path and compare the MD5 sum of each file on the ISO and the CD. For those with nerves of steel...
  15. ImgBurn has an option "Verify Disc".
  16. I confirm that it is an NSIS installer, so /S (case sensitive) should work. Are you sure You used capital "S" ?
  17. And you can also use the Silent .NET Maker, which gives you the option to create a silent installer or an nLite add-on, integrate updates and merge different versions of .NET Framework.
  18. Well, first have a look at MSFN's Unattended Guide, and then you could also take a look at nLite, which provides many of the things you would like in your CD. All you need is a lot of reading and searching around the forums. Welcome and Enjoy
  19. You could try downloading the full package, found lower on the same download page, or HERE (this is the download link from the same page). You could also check if it is really installed in Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs. Remove it and try again with this full package.
  20. Look at this http://www.msfn.org/board/easily-integrate...tml#entry896575 , post #3; you will find some links, including one for a tool to make your own add-on with all updates included.

  22. You have probably just selected something you shouldn't have :-) Please attach the file LastSession.ini and we will take a look.
  23. Tell me about it; it took me 4 HOURS to cross 180km (about 110 miles), instead the usual 2:20h. Not to mention I took off after work at 22:30h and arrived at 02:30h. Loads of fun, I tell ya. I couldn't feel my knees; it was as if I had been digging into the snow, not driving. Snow is great, when you look at it through a window of a warm house
