  1. This is a good way to register it, and you can run it from a batch file. Also, look at THIS and THIS. Enjoy
  2. Make ISO file in nLite and use a virtual machine to test it. Free virtual machines are : VirtualPC, VMWare, VirtualBox. Also, can you tell us which add-on causes errors?
  3. Look HERE and/or use search to retrieve other posts, since a lot of members have posted on this problem.
  4. I believe what Aaron means is that your first logon should be with the Administrator account which is built-in in your OS, rather than an account you are creating with administrative privileges. You see, the Administrator account is already created at first logon, while your account is created at the moment of your first logon, hence entries are also created in HKCU at first logon. I also believe that he means that "redundant" means that if import them once with the Administrator account, you are doing nothing, since the will only apply to the Administrator account, not your account or all users, and you'll have to import them all over again (but only if they are for CURRENT USER).
  5. Yes, you can.
  6. THe installed copy of WMP Slipstreamer, not WMP11.
  7. Have you made sure that it's not simply the power supply in the case?
  8. I did a little search on google, and it seems you're not the only one. This error is reported on a lot of various updates, and I couldn't find anything close to a solution. However, I' suggest simply installing any higher version of .NET framework. Even if you don't need it now for a specific reason, you WILL, as many applications are written in .NET.
  9. HERE it is. Size: 216.77KB MD5: d10e72baae69319c9b2de4a033e951ae Hope it works for you. Enjoy
  10. Please, do not post twice. I already gave you an answer in another post.
  11. If it is Inno setup, write like this: [AddProgram] aaa.exe /VERYSILENT /SP-
  12. Updated to latest version 25/11/2009 Rev.3136 by clsid
  13. How I wish you were right, mooms. But the STUPID Encarta 2005 and 2006 don't care if you have .NET 2.0 or .NET 3.5 on you PC. It just goes ahead and installs .NET 1.1 and all you can do is whine, like I am doing now.
  14. Have you tried %source% , meaning the source of you Windows CD? %source%$OEM$\..........
  15. If you still have the folder with the contents of the XP CD, open nLite again, point it to the folder and choose only Create a bootable ISO fro the options. Then, instead of the default engine, choose mkisofs and make another ISO. This should do the trick. If you have deleted the contents of the folder, then just mount the ISO, copy/paste the contents into the folder and do the above given procedure.
  16. A friend of mine also used taskkill for the winamp agent .exe. That could also help.
  17. All right!!! I know a few people that will be excited about this
  18. Have you tried turning off simple file sharing and using logon with user name and password? Also, are the IP addresses automatically assigned through DHCP or you set them manually? Are they from the same class?
  19. Well, for start, this post should be moved to the nLite forum, and you could attach your LastSession.ini to give us a better overview of the process, like which version of nLite you used, how you built your CD, what kind of version of XP you have...
  20. As far as I know, impossible (unfortunately). However, if you take a look at THIS part of the forum, you can find advice and even applications that help you make an administrative install, slipstream service packs and hotfixes and create a silent installer which you can run from your CD later on at first logon (after install). Enjoy
  21. I would, but am not at home at the moment and can't upload. This is the procedure for an add-on: 1. Download CabTool 1.8 HERE and install it; 2. Create two folders: SVCPACK and AVG_ADDON; 3. put avg_free_stf_en_90_707a1765.exe in SVCPACK folder; 4. put SVCPACK folder and entries.ini in AVG_ADDON folder; 5. Right-click AVG_ADDON folder; in the Send To menu select CabTool; That's it. It will create the add-on. Here is the entries.ini for you; BTW have you checked if all these switches really work? I wouldn't want you blaming me later
  22. adrienports, please attach your LastSession.ini, as it could be something else, not this add-on causing the loop. There are plenty of other add-ons, like HERE, HERE or you can even make your own HERE by integrating all IE8 hotfixes into your add-on (I tried it successfully). For a list of high-priority hotfixes, see -X-'s webpage
  23. SATA2 support is not controlled by your operating system. The first thing you need is for your motherboard and your hard disk(s) to support it, then your operating system. So what kind of motherboard and hard disk(s) do you have?
  24. Please post the name of the SATA2 drivers you want to put on the CD.
  25. AHRIMANSEFID, if you tell us what kind of SATA/RAID you have, we will be able to help you more easily. The normal procedure is to add them in nLite, Drivers section (in Text Mode) and, also important, if you are adding other drivers, add the SATA drivers last. If you have nVidia or Intel SATA, Fernando_1 has them prepared for use with nLite nVidia here and Intel here.
