    help!

Are both icons identical (including the properties)? Have you tried TweakUI to repair shortcuts?
  3. Ha, yeah, that's what I thought... The SAM file isn't even in the registry... Right, but I find WinPE too long to load... I've got a CD with four different unattended XPs and loads of bootable tools that do everything you could do in WinPE, only faster.
  4. I would start out by downgrading to an older version of iTunes... I've had 7.0 installed since it came out and have had nothing but problems with it... Memory leaks, screwed up sound, skipping, etc...
  5. Not sure if this would be it, but... Vista's backup feature? Like System Restore on XP, that might be taking up a significant amount of space.
  6. As far as I know, Windows XP doesn't store its passwords in the registry like previous versions of Windows... Are you sure it was the registry? If it ever happens again, I suggest using a small utility called ntpasswd. Use it to blank the password, login to Windows, and change your password there. Only use it to blank the password, not change it.
  7. Suggest FirstClass to your school (http://www.firstclass.com/)... Or you could develop something and sell it for $1.25-million like a friend of mine did...
  8. Mine. Simple.
  9. Are you trying to open an executable file in Mac OS X? Those don't work on a Mac operating system... [ Moved. ]
  10. I will laugh if Microsoft overlooks this... Which I doubt... Nevertheless, I have a valid key, so I don't have anything to worry about!
  11. Already found a two bugs... If you try connecting to Windows remotely using Remote Desktop and choose to play the sound from the computer you're using, iTunes will not open and will return an error. Also, if you are listening to a song and have Windows Live Messenger open, every time you receive a message and every time someone signs in, the song will skip as the sign-in and msg sounds play.
  12. In case you haven't seen, read, or heard the news in the last five hours, there was a shocking incident today at Dawson College in downtown Montreal today. This is the third school shooting in Montreal in the last seventeen years. http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/20...ots-dawson.html A whole bunch of my friends were caught in that incident, but thankfully they're alright. What is this world coming to?
  13. shutdown -m \\computername -s -t 30 Will shutdown the computer in 30 seconds.
  14. My iBook lasts up to 6+ hours on the minimum brightness!
  15. [ Closed. ] Read the rules.
  16. Actually, now that I think of it... Isn't that Pichu?
  17. Yeah, exactly that... But I've seen way cheaper ones...
  18. Have you tried playing around with the Compatibility settings in the Properties window of the executable file?
  19. Checked here, nothing but trackers: http://hotscripts.com/search/11704978.html Have you tried Google?
  20. Yeah, I have to agree with Zxian on this one... There's just something about it... *whips out binder full of Pokémon cards*
  21. I usually just use the command-line to do this... The "bootcfg" command (executable) will do just fine. No unhiding or changing the permissions on anything. Pure command-line. You can easily create a batch file to delete all entries except for the default one. This is what I would do when creating Multi-Boot CDs using Gosh's method!
  22. Or you can just buy a DVD replicator/label printer, and just tell it how many copies you want, leave, come back, and it's all done... My school has one. Going to need to make 100+ copies of a DVD full of pictures from last year very soon...
  23. Wow... That really IS old...
  24. Friend had it, said it was great: http://www.ipodcleaner.com/
