    I have a problem that I can not find a solution to on Google or any other search engine. When I create a shortcut, a document or program, two icons appear on the desktop. If I delete one the properties of the second icon does not show a target or any information. The system is a laptop with XP Pro SP2 and all the latest updates. It doesn't matter who logs onto the system, it is a member of a domain. Event Viewer shows no errors at all other than the normal errors associated with logging on without a LAN connection. Any and all hassistance is appreciated.
