That is weird indeed. Windows XP should automatically assign a drive letter to whatever mass storage device, in your case a USB drive, it detects. Have you tried restarting the computer or placing the device in another USB port?

Actually, one other good way is to try and be clever, but ignorant at the same time. This one trick sinched it for me. When I was in HS I was working at the library as a class. It was a light day, as it was everyday, so I decided to look up some pranking on PCs. I've already learned the basics, so when I came across the net send command, I was excited at what I could do with it in a LAN enviroment. Well, being typical, I got on a PC and entered net send * THE LIBRARY MAN IS WATCHING YOU. I put that because out librarian had a program to spy on the PC's at the library, and remotely control them. I sent it out, and to my surprise, it went out to EVERY SINGLE PC in the network, with the exception of the main office's PC's because they where on a different network. The router stopped the flood, just not within that LAN. It was awesome, I fessed up, and the admin just laughed. It was there that the relationship opened up, he lessened my restrictions. I did this too!!! Except the message was, "tell me if you get this message!!" I got spoken to the day after! After that, they disabled net send... Ah, the good old days...

That's a good one!

Why not just make it cos^2(x)/sin^2(x)? And the limit is equal to 2/3, actually. Just used my TI-89 to solve it.
-
Have you expanded it to: lim x-> 0 (x^-2)-((cos(x))^2)/((sin(x))^2) Just a thought. Seems simpler this way.
-
Try adding the check and see what happens. That is really weird.

He's probably running a packet sniffer, possibly Ethereal. I do it for fun every once and a while... Except I'm usually the only one on my network! -
D'oh! Et à toi aussi.

Bug? Spaces in front of semi-colons eaten up
gamehead200 replied to Tomcat76's topic in Site & Forum Issues
ECHO>>FILE.TXT ;%%I Hmmm... Putting in a double space seems to give the correct result. *calls on xper and Martin L* -
Everything looks fine. I would just keep quotation marks consistent. You're also missing one for the fonts.

rocksounds, you're confusing two different things. Memory = RAM. Hard drive space = Hard drive space. Your computer usually comes with around 512MB to 2GB of RAM (more or less). Applications only use up memory when they are running, caching files and data for quick access. Your system is complaining about too many applications being run at the same time. In other words, close a few programs (File > Quit/Exit) and see if you get any more of those "Low on Memory" warnings. If not, then the problem lies elsewhere. However, I'm quite certain that is the problem. Newer hard drives come with around 80GB to 750GB of hard drive space. Applications and other files take up this space when you install them. Movies, music, pictures, etc. too. Jaqie has a point though. Your computer may be running low on virtual memory. That is, when your computer runs out of real memory, aka RAM, it takes a chunk out of your hard drive space to use as memory. http://askbobrankin.com/low_virtual_memory.html

Go right ahead. I'll try to look at it when I get back home later tonight or tomorrow when I have a chance. It's possible you set your code to use a delimiter without a space (making the space a value), when in fact, the delimiter contained a certain character AND a space. Post your code and the XML data you were trying to grab. I have a feeling this is what the problem was.

Listen, the easiest way is to use a web-based proxy such as http://anonymizer.nntime.com/. Chances are your school's blocking it... In that case, you're going to want to setup a CGI Proxy of your own: http://www.jmarshall.com/tools/cgiproxy/ Do some research on how to setup a web server on your home computer before going about doing this. If that doesn't work, try Portable Firefox again. Chances are your school forces IE to go through their proxy. If you use any portable browser, you should get unfiltered access to the Internet. If all of that fails, do what I said above:

source for PC toolbox/repair case/technician's case?
gamehead200 replied to Alpaca Portrait's topic in General Discussion
I don't have one but I don't think it would work. I'm looking for something where everything has its specific place inside the case. In the briefcase example the tools would be inside the lid all held in place, and the bottom would be sectioned off into different compartments. The rubbermaid toolbox... you mean something like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/20-Rubbermaid-Toolbox_...VQQcmdZViewItem Haha... I have one of those that I keep HDs and wires in! Even screwdrivers! -
thats a fake, sp3 wont be out until around 2008 check system32 folder you probably have this 'fake' file too None of you seem to have read the entire thread. I have the same file. It is NOT fake.

Has anyone even realized why the Wii is called what it is? When the controller goes flying across the room, it screams out "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" like a 3 year old on a swing!
