  1. What is your problem D. Draker? There's no "emotional soap" or whatever nonsense your rambling on about. We're making COMPARISONS, and besides you, it appear everyone else gets what I'm trying to articulate. Are you telling me you need me to show you what a titlebar is in an image? Are you really telling me that? Besides, I'm sure win32 is not able to make such a change because it's basically "Chrome" Also, lately it seems a few of you newbies are starting to dictate how manage threads and posts. You're not the format police, so join in the conversation, or don't comment.

Wow ; he's totally clueless, indeed ; the "shortcuts pane" wasn't implemented by @AstroSkipper per se; it was already implemented by GH dev hawkeye116477 (and merged by JustOff) in: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock-for-firefox-legacy/commit/1e0b42e155373c5d37244e3ee079d357fbb9be48 This merged change happens to be already present inside the 1.16.4.31b2 build (by hawkeye116477), the starting point for Astro's later "releases" ...

  8. My German language pack for New Moon 28 - Fixed - Part 3 My last German language pack 28.10.0rc4 from this post had to be fixed again. I found another issue under Einstellungen -> Datenschutz some weeks ago. Here is a screenshot to demonstrate this issue: I have fixed this issue and assigned the number 28.10.0rc5 to the new, corrected version. Here are two screenshots taken from the fixed version in the most recent version of New Moon 28 (2024-01-31): And here is the download link of the updated, German language package in version 28.10.0rc5 for the more recent versions of New Moon 28 (issue observed starting with the version palemoon-28.10.7a1.win32-git-20240120-d849524bd-uxp-a62d808d09-xpmod): https://www.mediafire.com/file/xty66noengy0ktg/de-28.10.0_RC5.xpi/file Greetings from Germany, AstroSkipper

  9. I just had to read this in the Pale Moon forum by athenian200: Source: https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=30787&sid=feea3eb912a653ba49c1fb3c2bc447f3&start=60#p248158 Like perhaps some in this forum may already know, I am a mathematician. Unfortunately, from a purely mathematical and statistical point of view, I have to rate this study as unsatisfactory. School mark: F (in Germany 6). If this is the way this so-called developer works, then good night Marie (German saying, translated )! Before any investigation, you should first of all be clear about what you actually want to investigate. That has gone completely wrong here. Anyone who compares apples with pears and thinks meaningful results would be generated is completely wrong. My advice to this self-appointed expert: First read and understand. Then gather facts and think about it carefully. Then you'll be able to bake such childish stuff. The only thing that went well in this investigation was that the "good" man used WinMerge for comparison. But that was it. What is obvious, however, is that this guy really doesn't know much about extensions. My advice to athenian200: Read my article thoroughly before spreading such nonsense! And if you have no idea or are overwhelmed with such an examination, then you should leave it to those who really know how to do it. And what can you actually do with such an "investigation"? Unfortunately, as already mentioned, only this:

  10. Hello AstroSkipper, I didn't try to imply it's related to a specific browser. In one of my posts regarding this never existed for me issue, I merely pointed out to what it was posted from. roytam1 reported the issue again, on Sunday, (Monday?) Not sure about his local time. https://msfn.org/board/topic/185994-cant-edit-my-first-post-in-thread/?do=findComment&comment=1259650

  11. Yes, it's indeed the card I bought in 2018 (but it was even cheaper), I think it's the cheapest option, as of now. The only difference, in mine they got the usual caps replaced with ceramics.
    1 point
  12. My card is just that, I paid 15.12€ on amazon.it and it doesn't have the small bracket. But the board I prefer is the one with the two external eSATAp ports mentioned some posts ago. I got it because of the boot selector in the hope that it would allow you to boot directly from it. This did not work on the MSI 590 but on the Asus Z790 it works fine. I installed the XP ISO on the SSD connected to the ASMedia card via eSATAp cable and now I can choose to boot XP from the external disk as if it were a USB drive. As shown in the image below the Intel sata controller drivers were not even installed: I think it is certainly a very handy solution: boot from external SSD with GPT disk recognition. However, its cost is almost twice as much as the first mentioned card (it costs less on aliexpress but you have to wait a month or so to get it) to which one must also add that of the eSATAp cable (about 8€).

  16. I'm not planning to create a discord account, at least for now. But thanks for letting me know. I lost hope, it won't happen. Though, a small glimpse of hope still exists. At least with the new filtering system software that seem to have been finally implemented on MSFN against bots/fake posters/spammers. You mean, like this specimen, for example? https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/215#issuecomment-1918460518

  17. Not totally, you can still come across him on Discord from time to time. The atmosphere is healthier there, and after all, well... sorry guys, but someone have to opens it (and nobody wants to, so I'll take the job and wear the hat of "the bad one" that ruins the mood) and seriously say it: some conflicts we can read on that forum are more similar to quarrels between schoolchildren than real dialogs between responsible adults, so I think that win32 is somewhat right to avoid such places, focus on his work and dialoging with others on more peaceful/serious-looking* places. We're mature people (at least, I hope), so I think we all can discuss in a better atmosphere, and express their disagreements as adults with adult-like wordings. Nevertheless, on a in-topic and more positive note: A message he posted on Discord a few hours ago mentions the beginning of early experiments with Windows 2000 while he's waiting for people to try to replicate the remaining freezes in Windows 7 in order to fix them. * DISCLAIMER: I do not put in cause the serious of some people here, don't make me say what I didn't say. I respect the work some may have and will done here. Also I don't focus anyone, after all we're all responsible about what we say on the Internet.

  18. Hey Jody, many thanks for the time taken! I run x64 Vista SP2 with a very old nvidia card Titan 6gb (January 2013)/ Driver version 382.16 (the last one that works good with it), thanks to @D.Draker for porting it! Supermium is terribly bright for me. I tried other drivers, all the same. Here I attach screens from chrome://gpu Supermium is terribly bright with thick and heavy fonts. While the usual Chrome is fine. Edit: I retried on another computer, all the same, it's brighter.

  19. The only solution for now is to run with dark theme flags. Besides, Supermium supports Aero, so what else is needed? Though, I wonder if there will be a customisation UI in the future. Like the one on Cent Browser. --force-dark-mode --enable-features=WebContentsForceDark Without quotes or spaces!

  31. If my tip An experimental solution for the error code 0x80072F78 while accessing the WU/MU website doesn't work for you, here some further ideas: Check the Windows Update log. Check the date and time of your computer and Windows XP. Check if Windows XP is activated. Try a more recent ProxHTTPSProxy version. Check if the proxy is installed correctly and is working properly. Update all certificates.

  34. @win32 Supermium error "The data area passed to a system call is too small", this happens each time when I add my usual amount of flags. The message comes from Supermium's executable. Sometimes it simply won't start, unless I reduce the flags amount. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/explorerexe-error-the-data-area-passed-to-a-system/aed7b89e-0fc3-4f2b-b354-2c3898e93eeb

  38. That might have been a version of a problem I (and many others, I assume) have run into at one time or another: if you don't have an ad blocker, and the site hosting your desired ad blocker is itself cluttered with ads, it can be quite challenging to find the "real" download link among all the "fake" download links from ads designed to look like the site itself! Free download sites like Mediafire have to run ads to stay in business; unfortunately they aren't always very selective about the ads they run. Luckily this is usually a problem only when you first start using a new browser. Once you do manage to get that first ad blocker installed, everything is fine.

  39. Well done! Your Dutch colleagues will be delighted with such a service. BTW, I already mentioned this issue here two weeks ago: https://msfn.org/board/topic/185966-my-browser-builds-part-5/?do=findComment&comment=1258614 I have fixed my German language pack the day I posted this issue. This corrected language pack has been in testing mode since then. I will post it when testing mode is over, and all is definitely working. So far, no further issues.

  41. Who told you that? My pile of garbage hardware is described at "about me" section. Take my Intel Xeon x3470 (2009), for example. It's a 15 years piece of old junk, but Supermium runs fine on it, even with GPU-pocess totally disabled. https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/42932/intel-xeon-processor-x3470-8m-cache-2-93-ghz.html
