  1. Doesn't concern me too much, to be honest. I think people over-estimate just how "fast" 'web standards' migrate through the internet. We are "forced" to use MS Edge at work (us in Engineering are exempt, thankfully!) - MS Edge has been updated THIRTEEN times this year alone! And we're only 46 days into the year. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-relnote-stable-channel I'm sorry, that's just STUPID in my "not so humble" opinion.

  2. Just a reminder! There is already a thread about legacy extensions with the title "Extensions and custom buttons for UXP browsers - Corrections, modifications, adjustments, and special recommendations": Cheers, AstroSkipper

  4. This function was actually introduced in Windows 10. And WinHTTP functions are also needed for 112. I think most if not all of those were added in Windows 8.

  7. Yes, I remember it gave an error which led me to believe it didn't support windows vista, even though every website you go to says it does. Obviously, by now, I discovered that on actual hardware it doesn't have that issue But that was 2 years ago, maybe things have changed since then

  8. I would really love to learn how to "ungoogle" GDIChromium (which should in turn outline the process to basically "ungoogle" ANY chrome.dll as "ungoogle-ing" .pak files are fairly straightforward). My attempts thus far have kinda bumped into a brick wall. Unsure if this will be too great of an undertaking for my "intermediate" programming skills or not. Any suggestions are welcomed.

  9. The reason why I'm getting a dependency on the "auto" C++ keyword is because BluetoothTypes.cpp is generated by "ipc/ipdl/ipdl/cxx/cgen.py", and there is code that states to write the auto keyword in place of other more appropriate keywords/declarations/operators if compiled on an MSVC version greater than 8. Since Visual C++ 2008 is major version 9 and doesn't support the "auto" C++ keyword, msvcver > 8 needs to be bumped to msvcver > 9. if md.ret: if md.only_for_definition and msvcver > 9: self.write('auto ') else: md.ret.accept(self) self.println() self.printdent() if md.typeop is not None: self.write('operator ') md.typeop.accept(self) else: self.write(md.name) I have opened a pull request on your GitHub "gecko28a1-vc8-master" repository to bump the msvcver version in cgen.py, and lower.py to > 9.

  10. I suddenly feel very happy tonight. Its about 8:30 and have to fine something to watch on the TV while others are away. Good to be over there now with you @mina7601 and @legacyfan and @K4sum1 and maybe others I'm unaware of here. Will let you know what I find ... looking for something about loving and acceptance and trying to be a good person. Music today is hard for me to get into and I don't usually listen to pop unless something grabs me - I'd rather listen to smooth jazz, but I do like some of today's singers. Ya know, just for the record, I don't believe in pushing any agenda down others thoughts, I'm just trying to be me and live and not be under personal attack, to be honest, most people here accept me with the acceptation of only 1 or 2 guys here (where I reside, not the forum) and I'm just me whatever the heck that is without needing labels and I do like women as friends and maybe one day I'll learn to become more social but you can't force it - it has to come naturally. I compliment women and men but not in the same way (of course) and I know all mean well as do I for ALL of you. Live and let live and don't judge and I (myself) am and 'work in progress'. Learning at 50 still.

  11. Actually, I wanted to test the email client OE Classic, but ads in outgoing messages and the limit of only two accounts in their free version are a no-go. That's why I tested IceDove, but unfortunately, it doesn't support OAuth2 or authentication by app password which means no access to Gmail by this email client. That is a pity and therefore not an option for me. But another candidate has long since appeared on the horizon that meets and even exceeds all my requirements. And that is @roytam1's email client MailNews, which is ultimately based on Thunderbird 52. This email client has a real, working Oauth2 protocol that makes accessing Gmail easy. For me, simply perfect and the best choice for Windows XP at the moment.. More about that in the next days! Cheers, AstroSkipper

  13. Lyrics Videos Listen Have you ever felt like being somebody else? Feeling like the mirror isn't good for your health? Every day, I'm tryin' not to hate myself But lately, it's not hurtin' like it did before Maybe I am learning how to love me more It used to burn Every insult, every word But it helped me learn (yeah) Self-worth I had to earn So I tried every night To sit with sorrow And eventually, it set me free Have you ever felt like being somebody else? Feeling like the mirror isn't good for your health? Every day I'm tryin' not to hate myself But lately, it's not hurtin' like it did before Maybe I am learning how to love me more Just a little bit (love me more) Just a little bit (love me more) Oh, no (love me more) Just a little bit (love me more) I used to cry myself to sleep at night I'd blame the sky when the mess was in my mind I couldn't see, I couldn't breathe So I sat with sorrow And eventually, it set me free Have you ever felt like being somebody else? Feeling like the mirror isn't good for your health? (If you have, let me hear you right now) Every day I'm tryin' not to hate myself (yeah, yeah, yeah) But lately, it's not hurtin' like it did before (sweet child) Maybe I am learning how to love me more Just a little bit (love me more) Just a little bit (love me more) Oh, I'm gonna try to (love me more) With a little bit of love (love me more) Love me more Love me more (just a little bit) Love me more (love me more) Love me more Oh, gonna love me more (gonna love me more) Oh, gonna love me more (yeah, yeah, yeah) Oh, gonna love me more (gonna love me more) (Oh) oh, gonna love me more

  16. WHY DOES MY DOG HOWL? IT’S PROBABLY JUST THEIR INNER WOLF Image by Kristen from Pixabay. Pinterest rather... by CHRISTOPHER PLAIN - FEBRUARY 8, 2023 Have you ever noticed your dog howl in response to other dogs, sirens, or other seemingly howl-like noises? If so, but your neighbor’s dog remains silent, it is likely because your furry friend is genetically closer to its wolfen ancestors than the growler next door. According to new research, the propensity for dogs to howl is also likely related to their fear status and associated stress levels, which are also traits found to be shared by wolves in the wild... The wilderness is calling – will your dog answer? (2:06) More: https://thedebrief.org/why-does-my-dog-howl-its-probably-just-their-inner-wolf/ WOLVES HOWLING • zen hour (1:00:00)

  17. Sounds like a very VERY tiny intersection. Like somebody whose mother died while giving birth and whose father died in a car crash or drug overdose. I was well into my 50s when my parents both passed within a year of each other. None of my siblings are anywhere near "no more than 20". You may want to cast a wider net. Or just admit you prefer living single.

  20. Nope, as it's not fully working. A link will be published with a guide when the site will be fully working. There are plenty of bugs right now.

  21. ... All's good! However, looking back at all this, the "decision" of one member here to "shorten" (in order to "sanitise") a reference to a, otherwise popular , website has led to so many additional posts by other members here, including me, that only remotely (if at all) touch the subject of this thread ... Posts "exploded" to all aspects of human endeavour, i.e. natural sciences, history, linguistics, particular aspects of specific languages, education, Roman numerals, coins, ethics/morality, psychic health, addictions, human relationships/[pre-]sex, anything else I neglected? Even suggestions to not "avalanche" to further OT posts were disregarded, it appears... Each and every one of the above is a very interesting topic to converse about , however I humbly think here is not the most appropriate "place"; I, as much as anybody, can live with "a few" OT comments among a majority of posts with substance/relevance to the main subject(s) discussed in a dedicated thread; more than "a few" and I picture "trains de-railed" ... At the same time, some members here wonder why "these" threads reach so quickly the 200-page threshold ... (I'm also subscribed to these threads via e-mail notifications, "OT" posts also cram my inbox (and disk space, as I use a dedicated client, not webmail), so even more personal time needed to devote on sorting out the "valuable" from the "OT" e-mails...) Again, this is only my personal view on things, I don't expect all the rest to abide by it, but I'm entitled to it, aren't I? (NB: Don't do it; don't start another "OT avalanche" due to this post of mine; "reactions" (positive, only) are there for a reason.)

  24. Agreed. But there is no "time bomb" built into older versions of Chrome. So I can use "older" versions of Chrome for a very VERY long time before concerning myself with MV3.
