I now got it running on Vista in --no-sandbox mode after making some adjustments to locale API to allow Windows 10's dwrite.dll to load. However, the performance is very poor. It now takes up to a minute to launch the browser instead of it taking a few seconds. It should be easier to get dwrite.dll on 7 (no kernel32 functions need to be modified/upgraded on 7), but 7 still won't be able to run these new versions of Chromium because no changes have been made to the job object API there. There is also the possibility that performance will be very poor as well. VxKex will provide that and more, eventually.3 points

Not dumb; maybe confused a bit. First that last part: the "No official * changes picked since my last build" refers to changes to only Pale Moon or Basilisk. Changes made to both browsers are likely to be changes to the UXP platform that is common to both. There have been many important changes to UXP, but few specifically to just Pale Moon or to just Basilisk. Unfortunately I don't know which versions of New Moon 28, if any, are compatible with SP2 of Windows XP. Perhaps @roytam1 can answer that, or you could try a "binary search:" go to http://o.rthost.win/palemoon/, download the latest NM 28, see if it works; if not, download the version halfway between the version you're using and the latest, see if it works; then depending on whether it works or not, move forward or backward halfway through the remaining list until you find the last version that works with SP2.3 points

OK. Didn't think it was meant as a joke. Doesn't matter, I'm not mad. I love being able to STOP. Funny, my parents considered me the addict. But now that I spend more time than ever behind computer at some job, that's better!? Gaming didn't leave me exhausted. I earn money, but what's the point? Speaking of useless, how 'bout sports? On TV, they just won't shut up about Luka Dončić. Dončić this, Dončić that, blah, blah, blah...seriously, can no one else play basketball? How are they advancing society? All I see is few individuals earning absurd amounts of money. The world's backwards. On absurd, founders of Outfit7 made one of the most silly games in existence, Talking Tom. They have shitload of money because of it.2 points

I just want to give an update on what has been going on with VxKex these past few months. So while the last official release was in August, vxiiduu has still been working on the project. It is currently be completely rewritten, as can be seen on the Github project. Some programs that have been fixed by VxKex include the latest version of iTunes (albeit with some visual bugs), OneDrive, and many others. So while there hasn't been an official release in a few months, keep your eyes on VxKex, as it will continue to improve over the coming months and years.2 points

we all wait to see what happens on the ESU February updates POS ready 7 @D.Draker THANK YOU for saying this!! This is the option to keep the patching safe! Wish more people understood this and stop posting the guides. We had the same issue back on 2020 with the old youtube layout code post public and some hidden developers keep seeing that and changing the code so that css stopped working very soon. @win32 thank you for your contribution and we looking forward for the patching files2 points

This all is so damn complicated, why do you need to stuff your head with it ? Any ways to give a flying (4 letter word) ? Just ignore and live for yourself, no ? The last time I watched TV was during the fall of the wall. My mother used to watch TV all her life and now she is brain-dead. Scary future awaits you, if you don't stop.1 point

The only console that was ever at home was Game Boy, the original one - look at the specs! I remember Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 and the game about the Smurfs. Same now (no consoles), only two computers. Dang it, thanks for the reminder, I should plug that laptop for a bit, these batteries self-discharge if left alone. I played some games at friends / relatives on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Strange feeling, almost alien, thinking about those times now. Edit: Wow, I forgot, I also played few games on Sony Ericsson K530i (the screen's really small). Before smartphones took over, before everyone walked around with them (smartphones) like zombies, when you could go out and the other person did not stare at the damn phone all the time! But, holy moly, J2ME - Java 2 Micro Edition. It's a bit like DOS era for those devices, games' size was in kilobytes and looks like devs even had to compile (maybe not in traditional sense, not sure) each game for different devices. Remembering Age of Empires III Mobile, The Investigators and Alien Scum. I found JAR file of Age of Empires III (video - that music, it's actually a MIDI!). Played with J2ME Loader for a bit, there are also few emulators for PCs, eg. FreeJ2ME.1 point

Maybe, when you are setting up your laptop, install USB and NTFS; before everything else. If you are still having problems, then you know it is likely the USB drivers. If there are no problems, then install everything else. But check to see if NTFS still works, after each thing you install.1 point

ChatGPT just passed a Wharton MBA exam NTB Staff··Jan 22, 2023 · NottheBee.com Because of course it did. Professor Christian Terwiesch at University of Pennsylvania's prestigious Wharton School of Business tested ChatGPT this week by running it through the final exam of a typical MBA core course, Operations Management. And yes, the A.I. technology which is still in its infancy "would have received a B to B- grade on the exam,"according to the prof, who added that our future tech overlord "does an amazing job at basic operations management and process analysis questions including those that are based on case studies." Here's his whole research paper if you're interested. This technology is still brand new and it's outperforming humans on Wharton MBA exams. Can you imagine what it will be capable of in 5 or 10 years? HERE: https://notthebee.com/article/chatgpt-passed-a-wharton-mba-exam1 point

Great! BTW once I followed you on Twitter but there was tooooo much anime stuff, so I unfollowed. Not for that, I'm glad to be a part of the (re)distribution of @roytam1's builds! All the browsers, e-mail clients and suites (except the x64 versions) should work flawlessly on WinXP SP2 - you (@johk) just have to have an eye on which SIMD extensions are required (non/SSE/SSE2)...aaaand if the CPU is supported in general (have a look at the FAQ, with a 686 [Intel Pentium Pro and AMD Athlon/Duron and higher] you should be safe). NM28 and Serpent 52 (maybe 55) should be the most compatible browsers, if I remember correctly. kind regards soggi1 point

No, not really. I uploaded 13.5.2022 with the swiftshader .dll's. I uploaded 13.5.1030 without the swiftshader .dll's. The swiftshader .dll's SHOULD BE INCLUDED !!! There was a FALSEHOOD spread about the forum that swiftshader is not supported by XP and only applies to Vulkan graphics cards or something like that. But this is NOT 100% TRUE. The BACKPORTING by the 360Chrome developers REQUIRE the swiftshader .dll's otherwise certain GPU processes WILL CRASH. This "requirement" will plague some systems more than others (ie, very first launch after a system restart). It is true that Vulkan is "disabled", but the swiftshader .dll's do "more" than that, they are required in order for 360Chrome to function 100%. You can witness a GPU crash error on the chrome://gpu page, at the very bottom. Not all GPU crashes will result in 360Chrome crashing, but I do suggest KEEPING the swiftshader .dll's. On my system, I only keep the sub-folder .dll's and not the root folder .dll's. But there may be some systems that work the other way around. At any rate, for a apples-to-apples comparison, you have to put the swiftshader folder back into your 13.5.1030 version.1 point

Could perhaps try this one also -- chrome://flags/#disable-accelerated-2d-canvas I cannot test here at work but I seem to recall I was using this when I was on v11 but before I tracked my disappearing fonts to using too new of a version for Stylus. On my setup, I used to get disappearing fonts daily but I've never had them in well over six months after dropping to an older version of Stylus.1 point

This looks wrong, St52's mozglue.dll definitely does have free and moz_xmalloc functions. That said, I delete VC runtime DLLs from application folder, so all api*.dll, msvcp140.dll, ucrtbase.dll, vcomp140.dll and vcruntime140.dll, also both D3DCompiler_*.dll since I have all of those in system System32/SysWOW64 folders. Then dependentlibs.list file must be modified to not list any of those, I actually delete everything except the "xul.dll" line since the OS resolves other dependencies anyway. I actually have Visual C++ 2022 Redist version 14.32.31326 from 1st half of previous year installed, it was installed from whatever version of this pack was current then.1 point
