  1. In the manual and on the QuickHeal homepage, it is claimed that the programs are compatible with Windows XP. Here is a quotation taken from the website of QuickHeal Total Security: Here is the link: https://www.quickheal.com/quick-heal-total-security/ Do they lie? I do not hope so.

  3. So I saw a post here about "What are you listening to?" which was about music. I decided to make one of the similar topic, but about TV shows / movies. So, what have you been watching lately? I'm currently watching through Rick and Morty for the first time. Funniest thing I have seen. I know there is a topic of this from 2012, but considering how old it is, better off to start off a new one I guess.

  5. Will start to replace With a healthy suppliment of B Complex with the focus on Vit B6. This helps some to taper off such meds. Under normal circumstances, these meds help many, but not THIS (addictive) personality. I have strong history but am back to square 1 and on 1 AD and The GABA. Unfortunately. I'm on Haldol and will have to get the poision out of my body. Sorry about grammer errors.

  9. ... What version of Chromium is that based on? Also, it appears that its installer can't be unpacked with any of the known extractors ; many people, myself included, won't run directly a Chinese-made setup... Indeed, version 8.0.0.21681 (from May 31st), based on Chromium 79 (way far from latest Chromium 106 ), requires at least Win7: http://www.liebao.cn/index.html

  10. @ragnargd Motherboard needs to have in Bios CSM enable possibility. Today I found a board from MSI pro b660m-p ddr4 which has CSM in its Bios, but you cant enable it. So, until now no possibility to install XP SP3, win7 32bit, win8 32bit there. I think, all the Microsoft OSs with bit32 need CSM. No graphik driver for >geforce 980 under XP. No lan driver for Intel >i218 and for Realtek only Lan with 1Gb. Sound works for Realtek until 1200 with driver R2.74. This limits you can overcome with PCIe Slot cards, only CSM has to be there. There is a program called Quibble for to overcome this. For me, it does not work. For Sata, until now always Kai Schtroms Sata driver works. The from @Mov AX, 0xDEAD modded Microsoft driver for USB3 from Win8 works on about 80% from boards. This nice USB driver works also on boards with win7 or win8. Nvme 1.3 from Kai or the modded Microsoft 8 nvme driver from @daniel_k work everywhere. The acpi.sys for XP SP3 drivers work on about 99% of all boards, on more boards than win7 or win8 and even win10(!) support. Until now I have no motherboard, where XP not works Dietmar

  15. And that's a very logical thing ! Why would the Frisians and Saxons want an alien Roman holiday !?

  18. Unfortunately, this is not quite correct. All Saints' Day is not a public holiday everywhere in Germany. Germany is divided into federal states, and there are state-specific differences for some holidays. Where I was born, in Lower Saxony, it is not a public holiday, but it is in North Rhine-Westphalia. It's all very complicated and has a lot to do with the federal government and the federal states here in Germany. Some holidays are obligatory nationwide, others are regionally dependent. This has partly to do with the majority religious beliefs in the different federal states.

  19. This is a quotation from Wikipedia: Where I was born, Frisian people speak "Plattdeutsch". It doesn't make any sense to translate it into the English language. You would get the translation "Low German". For me, a bit pointless. See above the quotation from Wikipedia! Anyway, the Frisians don't really call their language Frisian directly. Frisian was a more general and more original language. But, you're right, English is much closer to Frisian than German. Truth be told, I do not really speak Plattdeutsch. Only a few words.

  20. Children unpack sad things about their parents: "My mom's heart bleeds so much" 11/2/2022 By: Jasmine Farah Job stress, overwhelm and lack of interest: A trauma counselor now shares what her little patients really think about their parents. That goes to the heart and kidneys. “Becoming a parent isn't difficult, being a parent is even more difficult”: This saying will certainly make many mothers and fathers groan. Because even if it sounds trite at first, some still feel addressed by it. Some would even nod in the affirmative. It is not uncommon for a parent to feel overwhelmed when raising their offspring. Children unpack about their parents: "My mother's heart bleeds so much" Added to this is the pressure from outside: they are called “helicopter parents” or “lawnmower parents”, and well-intentioned advice is poured in from all sides. Sometimes you get so caught up in your mind spiral that you lose sight of family happiness. On the other hand, we are so distracted by countless social media channels that we sometimes spend hours in the virtual world and forget everything around us. In both scenarios, the result is similar: you spend less and less time with your loved ones. The little ones in particular suffer from this. Some then change, their behavior becomes more aggressive or the children are very withdrawn. But they all have in common that they secretly do not feel loved and understood. Then child and adolescent psychologists and personal coaches who specialize in trauma management are on hand. One of them is Courtney, who experienced traumatic experiences at an early age and now works with children and teenagers. She shares her experiences from therapy with her half a million followers on TikTok. She recently posted a video showing notes or post-its from people seeking help. They are all meant to be true statements that her little clients said to her. Most of the time it's about the parents not being interested enough in them. For example, a six-year-old writes, “I wish I was as important to my parents as their phone is.” A thirteen-year-old writes, “If I annoy my mom, it's because I want attention. I can't get it any other way." Another 7-year-old was particularly touching, with a post-it reading: "My dog gets more attention than me. Dad says it's because he can't speak. That's why I stopped speaking." Tiktok video: The clip has gone viral on TikTok, has already received over half a million likes and over 11,000 comments. Most users are shocked by what the children report about their everyday family life. Some even feel triggered and report having had similar experiences. Here is a selection of the most touching comments: "It hurts and makes me rethink a lot." "My mom heart bleeds so much." "My heart's just a little broken." "🥺We should all be more careful with each other.😔 especially with our children." "Phew, that's hard." "All of that together and you described my mom and the relationship with her." "I cried reading this and that's exactly how I used to feel... I've started putting my phone away when I'm spending time with my kid or others." "When you scold your child, they don't stop loving you, they stop loving themselves." "I feel like that just means a lot of people are just not ready for the reality that parenting brings." 24. To use a light and working AV program I installed WiseVector StopX 3.0.7. It works great and consumes less resources than Avast!. And the best of all: it's free of charge. The best choice on my old computer at the moment! K7 is commercial, unfortunately. When the trial period is over, you have to pay for it.

  27. Also would never use brave because of reason(s) that are personal. Also don't trust it. DC Browser and 360 V9 and V11 also still work fine, but sometimes the latter fails when DC will render even loaded videos and my free movie sites . BTW. Its been said not to trust Plex free movies, I still watch but NEVER EVER log it .

  31. Hi @soggi, I can open ftp://ftp.dyu.edu.tw/pub/ with all my browsers. But I can't open ftp://ftp.cc.ntut.edu.tw/pub/ with all browsers I tried, I even tried few countries (US Central, US East, US West, Canada East, Canada West, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland) with VPN but still nothing, I also get timeout. It offered to download the file from ftp://ftp.cc.ntut.edu.tw/pub/Hardware/Diamond/display/fire-gl/fire-gl-1000-pro/b1kp154.exe but after download it had size 0 bytes, so it was not successful.

  32. my ArcticFox 40 build is a "normal" build so it requires SSE2 my Firefox 28 build is plain VC2005 build so it doesn't require SSE/SSE2. my RetroZilla 2.2 is plain VC6 build so it doesn't require SSE/SSE2. my Palefill Polyfill 1.23 mod changes only install.rdf to allow SP55 to install. and the question of replacing GHLpf 1.2.19.3 is a "no", but I don't have decent idea on updating GHLpf for now.

  35. SInce you are multibooting you could attempt an old-school defrag, i.e. copying everything to a folder on another volume, delete the contents of the old volume and then copying the data back, this way all files will be contiguous. Still, having a dd-like copy of the volume would be advisable. As said I find it queer that you are having this behaviour on two different computers (that both have filesystem or disk issues at the same time and that both create the same issues seems to me very improbable). Maybe you could compare the two Registries (the backup one that once restored allows to boot against the one that fails to boot) I think Regshot works also on 2000, the Nirsoft RegistryChangesView officially supports only starting from XP. Another attempt could be to try using ERUNT (and the NTREGOPT) to compact the Registry. BUt right now these are just shots in the dark, I have no idea what the actual issue could be. jaclaz

  36. WinCopy will create a copy of windows installation. For example, move the current installation into a VHD. The first 6 modes are using wimlib (with optional WOF compression). It's like capture and apply without actually creating a WIM file. File exclusion using a WimScript.ini are possible as well using MinWin by clicking on the Mode label. The VOLUME COPY option is more like Drive SnapShot, it copies the entire NTFS File System (used clusters only). It's much faster than the other modes, but does not offer any options. Destination drive can be smaller as the source drive, but the last used cluster must fit in it.

  37. @Slavich : How does your latest post above fit into this thread/topic? This is about force-enabling multiprocess (aka electrolysis=e10s) in Firefox 52 ESR (under Windows XP) and in roytam1's Serpent 52.9.0/55.0.0 forks... Please post any issue(s) you have with New Moon (27 or 28?) in the appropriate thread ...
