  1. I was leaning in that direction also, once I realized how much file size storage was going to be required.

  2. I am not interested in the "dark theme" of your builds anymore..... I'm only interested in lighter and lighter builds as your work progresses. Thank you!

  3. For experiments, I would suggest easyOS (the evolution of Quirky *and/or* Puppy Linux), its frugal install approach is - IMHO - very convenient and since it uses grub4dos as a loader, it is very easy to setup in dual boot with *anything else*: https://easyos.org/ jaclaz

  5. Because it would require the standard and the ungoogled resources.pak which is just over 5 MB for v13.5. The way that I "was" doing my dark theme would have require another resources.pak. Still digging into that and should be able to remove that resources.pak but there is no way around not having a standard and an ungoogled. And you wouldn't catch me using standard if my life depended on it. While other users would say that same thing about ungoogled because it forces you to manually install extensions as opposed to visiting the Chrome Web Store.

  8. I found an extension that really changes the user's agent! Updated November 11, 2021. It's Random User-Agent Offered by: dev4ever: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/random-user-agent/einpaelgookohagofgnnkcfjbkkgepnp/related?hl=en-US Check with speed-battle.com and w3schools.com only. EDIT: Problem with the GUI of this extension not opening, in DcBrowser, and 360Chrome builds: 12 r 8, 12 M... All 13 builds works OK. PS. I have thrown away all my privacy enhancing extensions, to lighten the browsers so to improve the speed.

  10. Guess I've been here a couple years... I think Windows 7 is the End of The Line for me. Anything newer disgusts me and I haven't done a M$ update since 2016. The ones I did do were very closely scrutinized and they liked to slip garbage in.

  11. Same! By the time I even doscovered pale moon they were already 'done like dinner' with xp and I used V26 until I found @roytam1. I still have hope(s) he will (somehow) manage keep his browsers working as best as possible given that the internet is a monster compare to when I got here.

  12. The installer itself would have a version block, but not sure about the app itself if it will have API compatibility issue or not.

  13. The "Build Process" would basically be a small GUI with a series of checkboxes (not in these colors per se) --

  14. lol I did say "I can only speak for myself" I do think that the MSFN XP-user and the MSFN Vista-user and the MSFN 7-User, et cetera, really doesn't speak for the population-at-large. This community is a "rare breed" no matter which OS we run. We flocked here because we are "birds of a different feather". My view was "trying" (but failed) to speak towards the non-MSFN type of Win7-user. The vast majority of which, in my view, have never heard of MSFN. But then again, until XP started seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, I guess I never really heard of MSFN either. And now look at me, I'm here a dozen times a day, lol.

  17. Kstub824, kexbases and kexbasen all do not work from the K25 upload. I tested them individually and the best result was that KernelEx.dll could not be loaded message occurred. EDIT Kstub824 and kexbasen are good after fixing core.ini. See https://msfn.org/board/topic/157173-kext-diy-kernelex-extensions/?do=findComment&comment=1208164

  19. Here's my experience with AMD Ryzen CPUs on Vista: they work great! There are no random BSOD or services not starting like Haswell or above. USB 3.x drivers for Windows 7 work just fine on Vista, but you can't slipstream them into the installation, because they are not signed for NT 6.0. You'll need to have a PS/2 keyboard at hand (you only really need the keyboard). A few drivers you should not install, because they do not work: AMD PCI AMD GPIO (this one will make your system unbootable!) Everything else works just fine. I've used a MSI B350 PC Mate motherboard with 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Had to enable legacy USB, enable CSM and disable Secure Boot. After that, I was able to boot Vista in UEFI. Hope this (really late) post helps, since you've asked ages ago @WinClient5270
