Audio driver for Realtek HD Audio Hardware?

I just tried with the new version of Hdaicout.hda, and - IT WORKS!! Thank you so much, I now have sound! It's a little bit distorted, but not badly so, and there is no control of course, but at last it's there. Presumably I can alter the volume by adding the appropriate entry in HDAcfg.ini. Here are the two files you asked for if you need to do more analysis. HDAICIN.TXT HDALOG.TXT The "HDA Sound" entry in the Multimedia control panel item is still sometimes missing, with a blank entry instead, but even when it's blank the sound still works. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
  5. Those two videos don't work for me as well, but they actually don't work in Opera 12.18 on Windows XP either! The HTML5 test sites say that the browser doesn't support H.264/MP4, which is strange because that's what I thought new videos were, and they work but older ones don't!

Did anyone try AG on 1903?

Yes I tried it on 2 of my machines. It gives the incompatible DWM version message on every startup. Seems to kinda work but the box on startup was annoying so I disabled it for now until an official update is released.

Windows 2000 Server: 4 CPUs/threads Windows 2000 Advanced Server: 8 CPUs/threads Windows 2000 Datacenter Server: 32 CPUs/threads The theoretical limit is 2^16 CPUs/threads if the appropriate registry hack is made, with all editions of Windows 2000.

How you really browse the web on 98/ME in 2019

    Customizing Windows 9x themes?

I think, there were just theme files, which configured cursors, window colors, background desktop image, and sounds, and were applied just by double-clicking them. They were available for Windows with Active Desktop. And then you could also configure these settings separately via Control Panel. But that was long enough ago, so I'm not sure if this is correct.

How you really browse the web on 98/ME in 2019

Some good news, Youtube only works with Opera with new videos, my older music videos will not play tried many times. I thought it was odd as before the player said a year ago approx that it was not supported just yet. It is the wbem decoder gstwebmdec.dll streamer file that doesn't work swapped all but webm decoder all is OK. 12.18 2016 gstreamer.dll works for sure. I was sure it was working with the new streamer files before. The other possibility is the most streamed files work. When opening YouTube for me I have to load the first video then click on video on the side line up and then everything is OK auto plays excellently, but soon as I line up an old 2016 video then it I get the TV-snow.

  18. that's sites problem. but feel free to stay on whatever build(s) you want since I don't force people to update (and that's the reason that I don't like auto-updates).

    KernelEx for Win2000

    Thanks for the info
  20. ThrottleStop 8.70.6 claims Windows 7+ compatibility, but it still works in Windows 2000 extended kernel 3.0a: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-throttlestop/ But it won't really work with older processors like early Core 2 Duos: then you have to go for version 4. I wonder if this can get my incoming Xeon X5670 to semi-overclock* to constant turbo because win2k doesn't support dynamic frequency scaling. *HP Z600 Workstation, so no real overclocking possible

How you really browse the web on 98/ME in 2019

I think it is worth investigating why you can where I and others can't. You can see what files are loaded with Code Stuff Starter or Process Explorer. Starter needs psapi.dll replaced with KEX one. Process Explorer v10.2 Sysinternals 10.2 here Win9x/ME one at bottom of page. If Opera works then so should other browsers like CometBird9 as I was viewing with full screen. Right click video twice to bring up CometBirds context menu then play video or something like that then show full screen. It does not show context now as the videos will not play. I found Opera worked faster after installing Mozilla so caution I would have a working backup before altering anything. It used to be every time I changed a system file that was in a in the RAM load eg ImageHlp YouTube knew about it and said your browser is no longer supported. Remember when Edge browser first started up it had to go through the Google server to reach YouTube? www.youtube.com did not work unless www.google.com then search for YouTube first time use then worked from then on.

    Customizing Windows 9x themes?

Hey y'all! Where can I find a good tutorial of installing themes on Windows 95, 98, ME, and maybe 2000. On the internet, there's plenty of support for customization on Windows XP and later, but I cannot find one very easily on Windows 9x besides revolutions pack! If you can provide me sites that do so, thank you!
  28. I do get the "snow" with the "no formats supported" message sometimes, but when I try another video it usually plays. Here is an example - How much of a "major achievement" that is I don't know!
