  3. Folks, please use only English words (or say Dutch, German, French words, but only those that are currently/officially used in English) Like "grab" (Dutch word), for example. The ones that can be found in English vocabularies!
  4. I have been using this trick to execute all more recent versions than 360Chrome v11 in Windows 2000 compatibility mode from the very first. But it doesn't work for the DeepL website in 360Chrome v13. Using ProxHTTPSProxy solves indeed this problem. While doing so, I noticed some strange effects. Enabling the System Proxy mode in the Proxy Switcher extension doesn't work in the same way as enabling the Manual Proxy mode. Although DeepL was shown properly in 360Chrome v13 with the padlock and green coloured https, the ProxHTTPSProxy logging window shows clean, green connection entries only in the Manual Proxy mode. Thus, I changed some settings in the IE8 and, however, got finally clean, green connections entries in the System Proxy mode, too. In any case, that was the actual reason for my last recommendation to use the Manual Proxy mode instead of the System Proxy mode in the Proxy Switcher extension to avoid having to change the settings in IE8.
  5. I don't know what's all this off-topic, "periodical", "channelling" talk means. But I get a very similar issue when I turn on "extended privacy" (both Edge and FF) with DuckDuckGo. It simply won't let me search from my real English IP (London) anymore.

  7. Then this game is over. All valid words have already been used or can't be reached. Suggest starting new Part 2 topic with full reset.
  8. With the taskbar displayed to the left, I hit the Windows key to bring up the search window. It displays to the left, immediately adjacent to the taskbar. But as soon as I start typing a search term the search window moves to the centre of the screen. This behaviour does not occur when the taskbar alignment is centred. In this case the search window initially appears centred, and stays there. It would be great if the search window could stay to the left when the taskbar is displayed to the left. Less desirably perhaps the search window could initially show centred and remain there regardless of the taskbar alignment. I would contend that having it move positions after beginning to type a search is a bit jarring.
  9. And now, disable Circular Kernel Context Logger and Audio logger. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WMI\Autologger] "Status"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WMI\Autologger\Audio] "Start"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WMI\Autologger\Circular Kernel Context Logger] "Start"=dword:00000000
  10. Run WLU on stock Win2k before installing any extenders.
  11. WMItracing.log OFF (Vista) Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WBEM\Tracing\WMI] "SessionEnabled"=dword:00000000 "Level"=dword:00000000
  12. I can forgot about XP, better ask @AstroSkipper, the guy who knows everything! For Vista - Disable HDD Performance Counters Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\PerfDisk\Performance] "Disable Performance Counters"=dword:00000001
  13. Folks, please use only English words (or say Dutch, German, French words, but only those that are currently/officially used in English) Like "grab" (Dutch word), for example. The ones that can be found in vocabularies!
  14. Today
  15. I'd even say @jumperlost two times already, because there's not such word. https://msfn.org/board/topic/102111-change-a-letter-game/?do=findComment&comment=1265939
  16. Of course it has! And I'm closely watching the topic. @jumper, @EliraFriesnan, earlier @XPercenioland @NotHereToPlayGames - all lost one time.
  17. To be fair, even if it's fixed now, I don't really care that much about having performance timers measuring stuff as I don't really look at them anyway, so the follow up question is gonna be: how do I get rid of them? You know, the less things I have in the background sucking up resources the better. I tried with CMD: DISKPERF -N but it says: Both Logical and Physical Disk Performance counters on this system are automatically enabled on demand. For legacy applications using IOCTL_DISK_PERFORMANCE to retrieve raw counters, you can use -Y or -N to forcibly enable or disable. No restart is required.
  18. Got the same glitch on Vista, I simply disabled all performance timers and turned off the EventViewer.
  19. EVERSPACE 2: Digital Deluxe Bundle v1.2.39726 Requires Windows 10+ On the other hand, the older build v1.0.34898, is still compatible with Windows 7!
  20. In contrast to the first game, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II v1.0 Requires Windows 10+ A big let down.
  21. You probably misunderstand the problem. Software get the right mode (which it requested), but hardware output to monitor has different mode (resolution) because between software visible surface and hardware output locates the scaler. The question is how to eliminate it.
  22. Today it changed "by itself" here. (the name changed after disabling and re-enabling the list): ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  23. C'mon now, there's no need to be a sour face. With so much literature all around, even if it's a repeat, at least it's an existing word.
