j7n Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Where do I put this in New Moon or Serpent? The official page says it is a Developer Extension for new browsers where YT is fast anyway. Can you comment under videos with this? I'm afraid it will be a constant cat and mouse with updating it.
UCyborg Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 (edited) Add a new user script in Greasemonkey and paste the code. The project was around for few years now it seems. Supposedly basic functionalities requiring login work, though TBH, I'm more of a passive user myself so can't offer any first hand experiences. Comment box is enabled when logged in at least. This user script just acts as a launcher, the main thing is fetched from their server and it does receive updates every once in a while. I notice ads in search results, guess standard uBO filters don't cover it. They said it's best to turn off uBO for VORAPIS to avoid conflicts, supposedly there's a setting to turn off ads in the interface, but I don't find it. I don't seem to get any at first glance in videos themselves without uBO though. Edited December 21, 2024 by UCyborg

schwups Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 I replaced nssckbi.dll, but the message remains.

we3fan Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 For users who open @hotmail/@outlook email via Serpent, tested on Serpent from 2023, about:config > general.useragent.override.live.com: Mozilla/5.0 (%OS_SLICE% rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0 - no, can't open login page Mozilla/5.0 (%OS_SLICE% rv:64.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/64.0 - OK, can open login page via Google, can't open via microsoft.com In order to avoid this message: "You are trying to login from different device, provide recovery email or phone for code verification", for my 2023 Serpent I decided to use: general.useragent.override.live.com = Mozilla/5.0 (%OS_SLICE% rv:94.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/94.0 Is this a good UA string to use for stable @hotmail login? If you think this UA string can be improved, feel free to reply. Update: Last time I could only login via support.microsoft.com > Sign in .
