Mathwiz Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 "Quantum" sounds so fast too (even though the term has nothing to do with speed). So much for marketing

Many people posted in the mozillazine forums they had sub-optimal results by doing an on-top upgrade... Though cumbersome, in the case of such major overhauls, it is advised one starts one's profile from scratch... 3 hours ago, 404notfound said: I even downgraded it to old ESR 60.3.0 profile is not backwards compatible with the previous 52.9.0 one, so, again, a backed-up profile should be used when downgrading... Hopefully you already know all that and I'm just pointing the obvious, perhaps only for the benefit of other readers not fully aware... Cheers Edited November 21, 2018 by VistaLover
Mathwiz Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 And that's why I chose to make the leap to Basilisk, even on Win 7. Much smoother/simpler upgrade path. 1
ricardrosen Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 Whats the correct procedure to update and keep existing settings. Is it simply extracting new binaries over your current installation.

But if you're doing update with major version changed (for example v27 to v28), it is better to backup your profile folder in case you might need to downgrade. If you don't use portable-loader, your PM profiles are located at "%APPDATA%\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon" 1

Ropip Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Is it possible to get POSReady with Windwos XP Professional?
Dibya Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 KmGoanna unable to play ogg file. How can I enable it?
Tamris Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Looks like language packs are not compatible with today's update of NM? After updating the browser and starting it, I'm getting this error: Then it disappears after a second and NM starts as usual, but it reverts back to the default english language (also the general.useragent.locale pref in about:config reverts back to en-US).

simonsat Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 I changed the previous omni.ja and the language went.

It's already mypal - palemoon 28.2.1 on firefox 60.9. The installer has a portable wizard in any selected folder and partition. I call the folder as I want and choose a portable installation for it. The profile folder is in the program location. https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal/releases/tag/28.2.1 Works the Polish language pack from the palemon site.
Mcinwwl Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 @kitaro1 Did you try polish language pack for BasiliskXP? Does it work smoothly?
Tamris Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 (edited) As far as I know, language packs ain't compatible with any version of Basilisk at all. Or rather the PM ones, since there are no language packs specifically for Basilisk. Edited November 24, 2018 by Tamris 1
rn10950 Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 @roytam1 I have ran into more build errors. This one seems to be with ffvpx. Is there an external library I need or a special mozconfig flag I need to set? All media patches applied cleanly. https://dpaste.de/KRuN/raw
