  1. Yeah guys as I mentioned above if running UA you can reduce the Sources dir down to what I have shown above with no problems. most of it is only used if running setup from the disc or upgrading etc.
  2. No...not necessarily..... That being the case the thread would have have died a natural...now wouldn't it??
  3. Just seems like a lot of c...ing around to me... hey but whatever does it for ya.
  4. @Kel Reckon ya just picking on us Ozzies, we have feelings, not like Kiwi's ya know....
  5. @spOOf not here either.... I recomend Rudis offering above, does it here for me...
  6. No worries, lets hope its more sooner than later.
  7. see post 23# http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...01071&st=20 @ spOOf I must of overlooked your post, don't hurt to be specific though.. Thinking MS need to update the waik? Can't be an integration issue as I use either method of integration & same result. One thing its not affecting any installation one iota & I know my xml's good to go but would like the wsim to work properly as it did previously, cause its a very handy tool in UA.
  8. One other issue Ive noticed with these double entrys in my case, if I look at the properties area top right of the wsim the early ver entry it is enabled = True & the later ver is enabled =False, does not make sense that a later version wouldn't be enabled? The properties fields are greyed & can't be changed?
  9. How are you running the office setup? Should normally be with a CUSTOM.MSP file. eg RunSynchronous> <RunSynchronousCommand wcm:action="add"> <Description>Install Office 2007</Description> <Order>1</Order> <Path>\\vistaopk\Office12OPK\CD\setup.exe /adminfile CUSTOM.MSP</Path> </RunSynchronousCommand> You need to configure your admin install, office msp file first. As shown on this board.
  10. Thanks Max, have run many variants through the wsim & they all error either when opening or saving. This has not affected any installation whatsoever. The wsim will always generate a working catalogue file & install no probs? After all in essence my xml attached is the one I have used since last December.
  11. Thats interesting Max cause I don't use the audituser pass & have errors no matter what?
  12. Nice guide, one needs to remember only for an oem version.
  13. Pardon my ignorance, great app & all but this is suppose to be in an addon format? I know you have supplied the silent switch but this aint an addon?
  14. @neon068. Great utility, would like to see more fields to propagate though. @jchowland. Yes but that script only produces an xml, the waik does much more.
  15. So far simplest way is to use VLite.
  16. Thanks Dyna Gunna look neat on the vista ua install.
  17. No real biggie there, too easy to integrate the necessary fixes as required.
  18. If you want to integrate the hotfixes into your source, there is many posts & guides on the subject. Just search please.
  19. Its very much overlooked utility @ your fingertips. Thanks Gosh & good to see you back round here.
  20. Max I mentioned have used both methods of integration. Latest with Martins batches integration with zero errors. However the xml errors in the wsim. EDIT: Found this info as follows: There is a bug with WSIM and one of the most recent IE patches. If you edit the xml answer file in notepad and remove the IE section, save it. Then you should be able to open it in the WSIM, add the IE section back (if needed) and save it again. e.g. untested by me. This is probably due to this Microsoft Security Bulletin MS07-033 Again untested by me & hope this helps?
