The first link you have there is the latest waik & does work well with xp sp2. The install.wim is an image file & can be manipulated with the waik imaging tools.

What ver sp1 are you using if you don't mind me asking? I'm using the latest one: Windows6.0-KB936330-X86-wave0.exe. Even if I integrate just one driver it still errors??

@Paraglider I did uninstall all previous vers of the NF 1 & 2, I have only the 3.5 vers atm. Unfortunately still getting an error following sp1 integration when applying the image? Appears this is only working for a few?

Another quick Q does the .iaf file produced when backing up Vista mail can be reimported to save your message settings?

Pretty simple Bizz do it how its been explained above or complain to MS, aint as simple as slipping a service pack to your source as we done previously. Or request a disc with the service pack applied?? See you have a choice. No ones gunna do it for you not that simple.

Do you mean that during FirstLogonCommands you cannot apply registry tweaks or UAC will kick in ? Is this normal in OOBE System phase ? Thanks, Alex Don't know thats the case during setup, as I normally disable UAC.

Tried that, but after making another user , the regtweaks are not aplied for the other user. Yes don't know a workaround for that atm.

This is how I add regs during FirstLogonCommands: I made a self installing sfx with the completed reg file with all Vista tweaks in one. This works satisfactorily for me.

I have used this tool although its straight forward interface, what are the do's & don't with it's use? I know the waik installed is a prerequisite, is there anything else one needs to know before using it. As there is nothing noted on the use only credits.

Yep its no worries just takes a bit to get your head around it.

Hope you know can use any pre sp1 xml ans file with your new sp1 installation. Does not necessarily need to be redone with waik sp1. I know have done many times previous.
