  1. I run them from synchronous command sect. in first logon as shown on the snippet of my ans file. Q1. All installs & works fine from here. Just remember the silent switches eg /Q Q2. Not sure & unaware of that version?? Q3. I personally use a DVD-RW & always have a backup Aux hardrive with my source for easy updating. You certainly could have a std Vista dvd (original) with all your sensitive data & hotfixes, ans files on a USB stick. Martin & the fellas here have done this no probs. I prefer the updated DVD method myself. Please look at Martins guide in this unattended forum for a concise how to from scratch or as you see fit.
  2. Piece of p*** now Hey,
  3. Ahhhh Sing
  4. Guess its what ya grew up with & what your used to. I grew up in the 70's here in Aus & being a Fridgee myself for 25Yrs are quite used to both. I do at time talk in feet & inches compared to MM & M though. May be a naming issue??
  5. Well here in Aus everyone reckons our leader's s*** don't stink & all. But I reckon we are in serious trouble for the future. The Gov has all but sold most assets, Interest rates are up, peoples right @ work are @ risk. Our Gov says everything is in the black but overseas debt is escalating. How much does the US owe to external sources?
  6. Just saw the latest. All three were great flicks. & great to see you round here gosh.
  7. After that ask cluberti nicely if he can check your memory.dmp file to find the culprit Having a drama getting to the os level now...Can I perform this with PE, Bart PE?? If so some advice please.
  8. Thats also correct, but if you want to modify further with the waik you will need the catalogue files. My Idea Dobby, to remove many of the bloated files within not the p***y ones OK......
  9. @ID You are correct & I haven't disputed that if you see my second post.... Quote....Sources Directory need only the two files boot.wim and install.wim it works fine on dvd boot UA
  10. @Acheron Nice small footprint & working smooth.
  11. Very nice Sig, appreciate your hard work.
  12. A pleasure Max I just wanted to reduce the bloat from my source further on a ua install.
  13. Don't really know why you need to change the name of the wim? VLite allows you to modify the image of your choice & in your xml you can specify any of them?
  14. Agreed much better.
  15. @JohnL Never tried it, but go ahead can't hurt if you use a VM & test..why not see if works or breaks...
  16. Back to the drawing board then....
  17. Glad you got it sorted, thats what we are all here for hopefully...
  18. @ Zeko You could have a look around for just the waik tools & if running xp sp2 & put all the tools in the windows/system32 dir, just right click & install the inf in the package. Theres plenty of info how to mount wims on this board.
  19. Yep, easiest solution is to mount your wim, inside the windows dir & system 32 folder simply replace your vers of notepad & rename it to notepad.exe not cabbed with the current vista notepad.exe. I have done this countless times no problems.
  20. @ geezery look forward to it.
  21. Listen guys this thread has nothing to do with VLite & as such Nuhi has a forum thread dedicated to such. Not to mention I got onto to this before VLite did same & I definetly know it...lets keep on topic or move on Please...
  22. Thats great...I have not used VLite for a few months & when do I'm very conservative re what I remove from there.
  23. Don't quote me Dobby but pretty sure VLite reduces both wims not other files in the sources dir...mostly a double up..
  24. Yes Dobby full functionality & no you don't remove anything from the root...only the Sources dir. Hope that helps..
