ok if u want to install it unattendedly add this ****.msi /qn or ****.msi /qb if u just want to install it either double click on it or right click and choose install u won't see much in the screen. I made it so that its totally unattended it installs in program files dir... \Program Files\**** NFO Viewer

ok from what u typed i think u updated your drivers? and u want the old drivers from nvidia right? if so go here http://www.driverheaven.net/downloads/index3.htm it has omega drivers as well (which are said to be optimized)

Hi there to out there who knows and who's about to know the pain I suffer from bandwidth limit in my school. is there a software for remote dl? here's my problem. in my univ. we have a **** 1.5weekly download bandwidth. we're allowed to go over that limit 3 times. after that they decrease your i/o to 56k. and everyone who is limited to 56 shares that bandwidth so its frigging slow. its still connected to 10mbit network. well yea i'm over the limit 3 times :cry: now there are comp labs where i can use the internet and have no limit. but it sucks to go there and not be able to do anything (except stare at the screen and wait for the dl to complete) because once i lock the computer because of idle times it logs me out in 5min. there are 2 networked drives I can reach from my computer. (they require password, also the lab computers require a password) along with these information is there an application that'll remotely allow me to dl stuff to networked drives? note. regedit is disabled but I can add/query/delete from cmd lines by using reg command. someone pls tell me there is a solution. I'm going nuts.! I tried to get dsl, but there is a problem with the phone lines. the signal is said to reach the building but is not reaching my room. (some stupid tech came all the way to tell me that, without checking what the problem was on my side, he said the learned it from server side.!, i dunno why the heck they sent the tech ) I couldn't install any vnc stuff bc it doesn't let u add services bc of registry etc. help help help Thank U!!!

copy and save this to anything u like u'll have to expand and update the sp1.cab and drivers.cab or alternatively i'm sure u can swap them or tell dosnet.inf and txtsetup.inf to use alternate location for them.. edit: wait stop don't forget to add the inf to txtsetup.inf drvindex.inf and dosnet.inf or better yet don't remove it from them just put the new inf in the folder. or something... good luck

u can use someone else's disk afaik u'll encounter activation problems. I've done this with my home version and I had to call ms to activate. and i cannot automatically activate it anymore.. and for the record next time avoid shopping from that laptop company. it seems to me that they'r lame! I believe u have the right to ask for an original disk. call them up and talk nicely 1 thing u can try; integrate sp1 or sp2 to that defected disk. and see if that solves the problem..

i'd love to help but i've deleted all my bookmarks (well actually not deleted them i've 1000s of them, and not organized so i can't really find anything in there) and i'm down to a 56k (which is actually slower than 56k) so i can't really go and search for u, i'll try searching in 8hrs (from the comp labs) if u can wait or search yourself

yea forgot to mention. that nv4disp.inf adds lots of stuff to the registry. i haven't tried to just use the inf but u've to start installing the .inf 1 thing u could do (i think, haven't tried it) windows setup already comes with an old version of nv4disp.inf, so it doesn't have the control panel stuff and lots of other files. so change your nv4 inf in the i386 folder with the new driver. and i think u should be okay with it... after adding the inf it'll look for the files mentioned in the inf appropiate for your hardware. so put those files in i386 folder or drivers.cab...

dude this is over kill for a p4 3.0 machine in addition to these do u use fast switching? if u're using it the processes from the other user will be still running when u switch to another profile. so disable it if u want. this way users will have to log off in order for the other to log in.. delete the prefect folder under windows. refer to http://www.blkviper.com for services.. did u by any change get a 5400 rpm hdd for the laptop, if u didn't see that 60gb 7200rpm choice its a pity there are some programs that hide theirselves from msconfig get autoruns from http://www.sysinternals.com close or delete the unneccessaary apps if u're in doubt as mentioened either write the names of the programs or get a screenshot by pressing alt+printscrn and paste it to pbrush and save as jpeg also if u don't know what system restore is or do not use it, just disable it... decrease the internet explorer temp by right clicking on internet explorer and going into settings.. run disk cleanup. definitely run defrag (i use diskeeper) have a nice day [ps if u don't understand what services are just tell us what kind of stuff u do with the computer, we (i'll) send u a preconfigured services.) these would be r u using internet sharing internet firewall do u have a static ip? are u in a network? do u have a router.. do u have a cd or dvd writer if so r u using xp's burning program or nero or roxio? also apart from these do u update your windows? do u update the virus definitions? are u sick of these questions

did u have it installed b4? anyways go look and delete everything u have about msn in registry. then look for the .msi file in windows dir. delete that and then install that's not a tried method, I do this whenever I get an error as stupid as that. it usually works...

okay once u remove the stuff from i386 folder with jdeboeck's batches put your winnt.sif in i386 folder make other changes if u want to then get http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/a/z/azh1...CDUtilities.zip (@mod's I'm not sure if this is in the unattended guide but here it is..) and then put that file u just downloaded into root of c drive and run it! make sure u have your xp cd stuff in c:\xpcd or edit the batch file in the zip file! also i think everyone thought that this, what u're asking is the most obvious part. if u had typed those lines b4 (how can i make a unattended xp pro cd with the changes made by batch files? ") u'd have an answer b4...

why don't u just put them all? u can remove *.bmp *.txt *.iss *.inx *.ini *.bin setup.exe *.hlp if u don't want them ikernel data1.hdr i'm not sure what's in data1.cab & data2.cab they're probably setup needed files. also i think it would be best if u edited that post with txtsetup.inf its quite long and the portion after your files are unneccessary.

yea some of them let u i think its the design of that forum. (i believe they could be changed easily) but to save space on msfn server this forces ppl to get a web space therefore less bandwidth taken from msfn.org.... either put it on your space in msfnhosting (if u're allowed) or get a small webspace..

i used to have all the command lines for cs. i had found them on the internet. a simple search will get u there u know that sprays i think they have to be bmp and have 256 color. that's what i remember, what when i constantly played cs. now delete that cs folder and play desertcombat.!
