  1. I like Empire Earth. Mostly because I can lock it into the "Modern" era and use some current, real-world equipment. Not realistic, per se, but it is the closest I've seen in the genre. Some of the C&C games take a shot at modern equipment but it is pretty far off mainly due to the easier styling of C&C gameplay.
  2. That makes sense because Ubuntu is based on Debian and aimed at desktop use
  3. I really like these images. They remind me of the logo for the band A Perfect Circle. The links are dead. Please update them B)
  4. Maybe, but I've never seen it. That could get annoying really fast!Windows usually does this on its own by maintaining discovered address tables. How do you have your addressing setup? Are both connections on the same subnet? If both connections route out to the net, why are you using them both? The easiest thing to do is unplug the non-domain connection.
  5. Did you use nLite to remove something the wizard is dependent upon?
  6. I recently had this same problem but I use HFSLIP instead of nLite. The scenario is likely very similar. Read my post over here. The short version: you probably have to reinstall your OS without removing OE. But it doesn't hurt to try fixing it first as your nLited install could be different from my HFSlipped install. And by the way...I don't think there is a way to "install OE." You have to (re)install IE to get OE.
  7. I call it with this command: e:\OFFICE\setup.exe TRANSFORMS="c:\OutlookCustom.MST" /qb- We have a great guide on the subject right here.
  8. There is no need to demean ripken's character. He just gets excited about the "latest and greatest" sometimes We all have our strengths and weaknesses. That is part of what makes the forum so valuable: you ask for opinions, and you get several different ones. And we all benefit.
  9. You aren't the only customer in the world. Lots of people want lots of different things. I was shopping for a 939 rig just the other day. I also considered a dual proc (not dual core) rig instead. I found the hardware for both setups easy to find and well supported.
  10. Yeah, and it will do more. Sweet. Home page. What a killer app! I've always used AutoStitch. Will have to try Hugin now!
  11. Testing in a VM just doesn't cut it for perfmon. Turns out that I need to NOT reduce ZZ_Service_WMI_WBEM and Service_PerformanceLogsAndAlerts in order to get the counters that I want. Not reducing these dramatically increases the available counters...and they all work. Note that you don't have to actually run the service. Just having it installed provides the avenue for the meters to be accessed. But to reiterate: it is safe to reduce all of this stuff if you don't care about performance monitoring.
  12. HFSLIP might interest you. From http://hfslip.org/changelog.html :
  13. Use the "Quote" button on the lower right. To forward, click on the sender's name and select "Forward PM" from the dropdown. <sarcasm>So easy!</sarcasm>
  14. That FF icon is awesome B)
  15. Sounds like a good compromise to me!
  16. My powers of interpretation fail me again! I'm having a bit of trouble reading your post, but I think your question is the same as this other topic.
  17. This might interest you as well.
  18. Dual core Opteron , 4GB of RAM, 2x70GB SCSI HD.
  19. Fair enough. I'll sticky that post instead of this one. Thanks for all the hard work, glent![ closed ]
  20. There is no hard limit. Such things are limited by server/database performance.
  21. Never played that game myself, but does this help?
  22. Do you know exactly where your media is saved? It sounds like you are loading media from within user profiles. Find your media in your profile at C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName and copy/move it elsewhere. Maybe C:\Documents and Settings\All Users would be best?
  23. I am talking about being in an Active Directory environment with an Exchange server. It sounds like that is not the case for you.
  24. I like disclib but it is aimed at media files. Might suit your needs anyway.
  25. Thunderbird does not require OE. I think it can be considered portable; the profiles, at least. If you need pop3 but not Exchange then you are probably better off using Thunderbird. I liked Thunderbird a lot but decided to move into an Exchange environment for the groupware features.
