  1. Rats! Oh well, I can't tell the difference between VGA/DVI visually. but I would have bought this one instead if it had been available at the time. Thanks for the news
  2. I think there is a 3rd-party "bridge" that allows the two apps to share data. It is found somewhere in the support forums, if memory serves.
  3. Tried to play the demo, but it is XP+ only. Bleh. The Battlefield2 demo was also for XP+ but the demo let me play anyway. So I bought it. Won't be buying CC3! I understand that there are support issues but still...

    Hi there!

    Welcome!
  5. Probably a bit faster to have the two tables.
  6. Sounds like a good job for a projector. Get one (or more) that are very common and you can find the replacement bulbs cheaper.
  7. Very few consumer electronics can actually interfere with commerical avionics. But that doesn't have anything to do with airline policy. The only way to be sure is to ask the flight attendant. They will default to 'no' unless they have been told otherwise.
  8. How does that affect the demo? Can you still play single player offline?

  10. No luck with that torrent, though...
  11. Hadn't seen this one before. That screenshot is great. It may be a bit furturistic for my tastes....but....downloading now!
  12. Sometimes you need to remind an LCD to "auto adjust."
  13. Welcome! The guide is the best place to start. Good luck
  14. Retriever does this as well. There is only one algorithm but you can choose the level of similarity for the returns. Retriever is not free.
  15. I tried that one since it is free but didn't like it. Very slow for large jobs and the manual review process doesn't have many options. But it is the only free solution, so....
  16. ...and I had to remove your avatar. The rules are here
  17. Gizmondo is a device. Gizmodo is a website.
  18. If either of those enabled DRM-free video playback of multiple video codecs, I'd go buy an iPod right now. But they don't appear to have that yet.
  19. Still not sure exactly what you mean but perhaps you would be best served with an incognito sub-menu? -Apps -Math --Math_tools (just keep your games or whatever in here) -Geometry
  20. They are all different and this specific question would vary mostly due to the GUI in use and the custom tools. You don't get the info you want during the boot or login process?
  21. What do you mean by hiding an app? Like a "boss button" or in the file structure?

    Archos 404

Just thought I'd mention that I recently got one of these and am very happy with it. Feel free to ask any questions if you are considering purchasing one. I tried the iPod and the Archos 504 first but the 404 is my favorite. The iPod was sexy, but the DRM was just too constricting. The 404 has good codec support and the device itself is pretty well designed. Archos also publishes most of the source code for the x04 series of devices so I hope to see some cool firmware hacks in the future.
  23. @Tanthalas: Thanks so much for the input! Your post convinced me to go buy the Th2Go and I am VERY happy with it. It does a great job and I do not have the banding problem that you have. I'm using the device with a single 7600GS card and it performs like a champ. UT2004 in full detail across all three screens...yeah! I recall using Matrox's older SGU utility in the earlier parhelia days and am glad to report that the current SGU is much better. I second your opinion wholeheartedly: Thanks again!
  24. Battlefield 2: THE HOTNESS! I bought two copies of this one: one for me and one for a buddy who was too stingy to buy it for himself. Rise of Nations: Very similar to the good stuff in EE. Great to have on-hand as a backup to EE. Company of Heroes: WWII Game Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars: Sci-Fi game, but looks really neat. C&C Generals is actually a good match for us and is more suited to faster games than EE. Empires: Dawn of the Modern World: Ages only go up to WWII I'd still be interested in hearing about the Civ games. No Civ fans on this forum? Thanks for all the great feedback so far. You all rule!
