  1. I like DSL and Vector.
  2. Sweet! Hadn't seen that one yet

    Which partition?

That is an option in the answer file.
  4. Some repeaters can be quite particular as to what packets they can/will repeat. I recommend buying at a local shop so you can return the device if it doesn't work out for you.
  5. Perhaps you removed the funcationality with nLite or a similar app? You can try using the software that came with your wireless adapter.
  6. Can you connect to the server via your LAN?
  7. No, they aren't related like that. Make sure the settings are saved and reboot both the device and the computer. If you can still reach the internet then something is wrong with your security.
  8. @Access: What level of anonymity are you looking for? You can range from casual cookie management to covert wireless usage. I fixed your animated avatar for you...please read the rules
  9. In the enterprise environment it often comes down to management or whoever insisting on a support contract. Sure, the admin says he can handle anything that comes up... "but what if he quits his job? What would we do then?" Of course there are many other reasons to have a good support contract in addition to a capable IT team. Perhaps take a look at Juniper or Tipping Point?
  10. Bruce Schneier created an app to do this, and there are many others.
  11. Welcome to MSFN and thanks! Did you use MSFN as a resource?
  12. Try using Add/Remove Programs (in Control Panel) instead of your .bat file.
  13. I'm not expert in this area, but have not seen anything that can strip components from within Outlook. Maybe you just need Outlook Express? Thunderbird is great as well. When installing, just choose the minimum options that you need. Anything that is required but not selected will get installed as well. Word/WAB integration is sometimes used to pass data from one app to another (eg, resolve WAB names in a document) and I think it adds a couple of options for emailing documents from within Word.
  14. I was taught that MS stole most of the Citrix technology (via a licensing agreement) and created Terminal Services. They supposedly lost a lawsuit over it and that resulted in the quagmire of licensing issues for Terminal Services that we have today. My professor told me, so it must be true I've used Citrix Metaframe at work (as a user, not admin) to get a Win2K desktop from a Sun machine. Citrix performed well and was very useful for that purpose.
  15. Kiki you frequently pursue this sort of thing. What do you do with it? Print everything off and read it on a plane/train? Who pays for all the ink and paper?
  16. We agree with you Welcome, and thanks for donating!
  17. Step 1: Save/recover your data to a known-good drive. Step 2: Inspect the suspect drive with one of the many HDD analysis tools Step 3: If bad, never use the bad drive for critical data again.
  18. doom9.org is a great resource. Read the tutorials.
  19. AutoGK can queue jobs. Save yourself some cash by queueing (sp?) a few up and letting it run over night.
  20. SAMP? Do you mean this?
  21. Gotta love the oldies!
  22. Maybe moving this to another forum will get you some help... [ moved ]
  23. Heard nothing but bad news about the Zune. But I understand the Vision is OK. I like my Archos 404.

    klik

Didn't Linspire already do that? It sounds similar to a few things I've heard of in the Linux realm.
  25. How does Civ3/4 stack up against the criteria in my first post? Been trying that URL for weeks now with no luck. Is the address correct?
