  1. Yeah of course I tried. I tried copying it in every kind of way, exhausting every option of copying between Microsoft Office products. After I tried every way of copying, I begin searching the net for other copy methods, and found the Shift trick to copy it as a bitmap image. Look this is the problem, every method of copying except copying with loss in an image format, produces the same outcome. The one that looks bad. Every way. Even if I Shift+click on the Copy option and select As on screen and Picture (metafile), it stays the same... And I can't figure out why. Probably something in Word 2003 causes this because the main problem is with dotted lines and then something about vector graphics (they look less smooth). But I haven't found any kind of option in Word that would say "Turn this on if you want full vector graphics and dotted lines." Unfortunately.
  2. Hello there! I have an annoying problem. I started to make charts half a year ago, but I encountered a severe problem after I started copying them into Word 2003. The formatting changed. And because of this the chart is ruined, I can't see a thing on them and the smooth dotted lines become strange double lines. Anyway I looked for a solution and found a temporary replacement. If I hold down Shift and then click on the Edit menu, the option Copy changes to Save image... and then I click on that, change the options popping up to "As on screen" and "Bitmap file" then Paste it into Word, it places an image of that chart, and the formatting stays the same. No other option, trick whatever worked and believe me I have tried. But the problem with this bitmap solution that it loses its vector graphic preferences. So its looking crap basically. The strange thing is that the first 3-4 charts that I made were copied into Word 2003 without a single problem. No trick was necessary! You probably think that I changed something then, or updated but no. Automatic Updates on my computer is disabled even in Services, along with Security Center. This week I updated to Office 2003 SP3, but the problem is still there. I don't really know what to do now, but it is really annoying to lose your great charts over a compatibility error like this. If I print the documents it is clearly visible, and it's not pretty. I will link some pictures to better understand. Please help me if you can. This is what it looks like in Excel 2003: This is what it looks like in Word 2003 if I simply Copy it: This is what it looks like in Word 2003 after I simply Copied it and Zoomed in(strange double lines): This is what it looks like if I use the trick and Copy it like a Bitmap file(looking crappy):
  3. Hi! I want to do something again, but I'm pretty sure it can not be done. If I have an installation of Windows XP Pro, and it's made with a corporate key, so that activation and other may not disturb me, than can I do that to integrate that key and files that indentify my XP as an installation with a Corp key? The main thing is that I want to install a Media Center Edition 2005, because others said it's faster and I like the looks and etc. Also I don't want to be foolin' around with how to integrate softwares that require validation. So if it's possible I would like to swap the system identification files with the files on my current installation, so that the system does not say that wrong key or something, because unfortunately you can't use corp keys on MCE, and I will be able to get WMP11 and others. It doesn't matter if I can't do update (I think after I change these files the update will se my system as an XP Pro) because I will integrate hotfixes, and that is enough for me... If anyone knows which files I have to replace to hide my MCE and to think installers, and programs that I have an XP Pro with Corp, please tell me. Thank you!
  4. Hi! I was thinking about a method I just discovered. It enables you to integrate apps into your windows like hotfixes. WinAddons or whatever. Since nLite can't integrate .NET or I don't know how to, I decided to take a step. So my install needs .net 1.0 sp3, .net 1.1, 1.1 sp1, 2.0, 2.0 fix, 2.0 fix, and 3.0. So this means 7 exe-s. I want them to be in one cab-file just like the addons so it requires a folder named SVCPACK and an ini file. So far I figured out that the ini file should contain something like this: [general] builddate=07/01/2007 description=.NET pack language=English version=1 and 2 and 3 website=http://www.microsoft.com/ [EditFile] I386\SVCPACK.INF,SetupHotfixesToRun,AddProgram [AddProgram] 1.exe /Q:A /R:N 2.exe /Q /O /N /Z 3.exe /Q:A /R:N 4.exe /Q 5.exe /qn /passive 6.exe /qn /passive 7.exe /qn /passive but it seems that something must be wrong with the switches or what because they don't install silently... also .NET 2.0 install displays a writing error with a DWORD registry entry, and it fails to install... so far so great... so anybody know a better way to integrate the .NET packages? I saw someone mention a tool for that, but I haven't found any tool for these. Also I'd like to ask if these method is possible with DX9.0c and Live messenger also? and where can I get the switches to those... It's funny but when I try to search .NET switches or else too much topics pop up... So if anyone can help me pls answer! Thank you very much in advance... Edit: If you wonder what is 1.exe etc. here it is: 1.exe = dotnetfx.exe (.NET 1.1 i think... well its from microsoft) 2.exe = .NET 1.0 SP3 3.exe = dotnetfx.exe (.NET 2.0) 4.exe = .NET 1.1 SP1 5.exe = .NET 2.0 KB917283 fix 6.exe = .NET 2.0 KB922770 fix 7.exe = .NET 3.0
  5. Thx very much! I didn't notice the Components menu in nLite... Well my only problem is the last part, becuase WPI is great, but I want to configure what components does it install in Low or Highmode... Because my problem is, that I have two computers. One is very old, it has 128 Mb of RAM. miniXP because of its lack of components installs fine. XP Pro not, because its minimum configuration is 128MB RAM, and there are some problems during install don't know why... So I'd like to remove those components that doesn't allow XP to install on that system. If anyone can help me?
  6. Well, I have a dream... I really loved the Media Center Edition from Microsoft, so I decided to make an Unattended version of it. I got my source, with nLite I made a copy of it on my hard drive. But here I stopped, because I didn't have a list of the updates it misses. So do you know a solution, how to get them? Also I would like to include extras like MP11 or IE7, Messenger Live etc. Can I put these into the install? And where can I find them? Bigger problem of mine is that I don't want the whole system really. I saw these mini editions around the WEB like miniXP or tinyXP and I wonder if there is a program for removing system parts, from the installation. I tried XPlite but it just removes the features of the current installed operation system right? So how can I remove parts from these files on my hard drive? Especially from the Media Center Edition... If I manage to solve these problems I have just one more. I would like to use this OS on different machines with different resources. So I'd like a boot menu or something to load when the disk is in, and I can choose multiple types like Low, or Very High, and depending the choice the system is installed with features I previously configured. How can I do that? I know this all sounds a bit too much for a beginner like me, but just look at my first sentence... Hope I will manage to do these. So can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
