As far as I know, you can add exceptions to Windows Deffender, you just need to search it in the new configuration pannel. I can't exactly tell how to do it, because I'm not a Win10 user any more, but that's what I remember.

The thin is that Windows 10 X64 and 4gb of ram don't have good performance, so I think you can consider a 32 bits version of Windows 10 with PAE enabled or upgrade your ram if you think that you need Windows 10 x64. You can also consider a LTSC version of Windows 10.

I agree with you, however, despite that ClamWin don-t have Real time protection, you can add it using ClamSentinel. I think it also saved me from running infected files.

I think Avast and similar Anti-malware softwares have a lot of unnecessary features, so I use ClamWin in Windows XP because I don't want my system to be slow.

Maybe you didn't picked a proper driver, or maybe your firmware is UEFI . Don't forget that official XP don't support UEFI. Yo may try to change your firmware's storage options from SATA/ACI to compatibility or however is called. Don't forget to change your firmware to Legacy BIOS mode.

I have a friend who needs to use Windows 7, but he can't update it. As far as I know, he has the error 80072EFF before installing Windows 7 and the SHA2 update, so he can't download updates from Windows Update. I found a zip with multiple batch files in one Vista's topic, but none for Windows 7. Where can I find such batch files (for Win7) or how could I create it?

Hmmm, maybe you integrated your Windows XP drivers to Windows 2000 disk. There's no guarantee that all drivers would work. You need unofficial Windows 2000 extended core update if you want to use an XP driver there.

There is another programming language called bgt, which is specially usefull for creating audiogames. The thin is that bgt was abandoned in 2016. I use to run a bgt game called Crazy Party inside Windows 2000 with Bwc's extended kernel, Windows XP and even Windows Vista/Longhorn build 4074 and of course newer Windows! I'm wondering if you can run BGT games inside Windows 98SE/ME with latest Extended Kernel core updates!

I discovered that there is a programming language which is typically used for creating scripts like vbs. But it's possible to create a graphic application with that and even Wine can run these applications! What do you think about these programming languages? If you want, you can't mention and discuss about other programming languages which still support XP!

Yea, that script add Microsoft store to Windows 10 ltsc. Maybe there is any possibility to add commands to Windows 8 and Windows 10 ltsb and extend Powershell's functionality as some people do making extended Kernels. But I can't do it. However, the web is the future, so maybe we'll be able to run UWP apps inside a browser. I can't imagine that only will survive Windows 10, Mack and Linux.

That's true. The thin is that Windows 10 X don't have Windows Background and Windows Foreground. The beeps that I mentioned can break your head if you play music with high sound volume, so I can't imagine these beeps as asterisc sound or critical stop sounds. I'll probably asume that these sound events dissapeared completely from Windows 10 X or these events use the default Windows 10 X sound. It'll be clarified when someone will try Windows 10 X.

I'm wondering how Windows 10 x (and probably Sun valley) works with sound events. When I downloaded Windows 10 x sounds I couldn't see error and exclamation and error sounds. There just boot up sound, low battery sound, default sound and some beeps and notification sounds. I want to apply that sound scheme to Windows 8.1 but I don't how because I can't try Windows 10 x. Can anyone create a themepack or explain what sound use Windows 10 x with the following events: asterisk, critical stop and exclamation.

Hmmm, I can't think that Microsoft will reduce Windows 10's bloatware. But I'm starting to think that Microsoft will bring some Windows XP/7 customization functions. I'm thinking that Windows 10 21h2 can add Windows 10 X sounds. And I'm sure that they want to bring Windows 10 X to normal Windows 10. I suggest you to search more about Windows 10 X, try it if you can and tell us your experience. If Windows 10 X is usable and don't have a lot of problems (excepting that you can't use Win32 apps), Windows 10 21h2 can be a "good" Windows version!

As far as I know, there's not .net 4.5 and newer for Windows XP and older. If you want to improve your experience with Win2000, don't forget to install BWC's Extended Kernel.

I read something like this on an old topic, and someone told something about a file called USB30.sys or something like that. If adding that file to System32 or Drivers folder would solve this, where can I find that file?

Why Windows 10? You just could install Windows 8.1 X64 and dual boot it with your XP X86. Windows 8.1 is much better than Windows 10.

If you specify the names of your installed devices, maybe you could find recomendations of drivers for older Windows versions.

I mentioned in my previous post a problem with sound. That's not a driver problem, that is related with services and similar things. I'm sure of that, because I connected my usb card to the vm, but it still didn't had sound. And I can't do nothing without sound because I can't use Windows without a screen reader.
