“Be mindful. Be grateful. Be positive. Be true. Be kind.”
XPerceniol replied to XPerceniol's topic in Funny Farm
I suspect just for recognizing that we feel something is amiss regarding our mood alone proves we are "Mindful". Ain't is great to be self aware Sometimes reflecting and overthinking can sour the mood. That being said, I'd be telling lies if I claimed to be (so called) 'stable' ... besides, what is stable anyway?! Like the waves on the ocean the tide rises and drops. This is my main issues (one of many) of being medicated on mood stabilizers and medications in general to make you flat zombie and emotionless. I'd also be telling falsehoods if I said my moods have gone from extreme empty to mania. Ugh. balance somewhere and when moods feel askew, I find best to now (over) dwell on it too hard. Dust yourself off and just keep trying is all. I'm just taking it day-by-day now as the worry alone is toxic to our health and well being. But yeah, I know I was reading something last night and watched a pretty good guided meditation vid, but can't find it right now, but it helped me untangle thoughts. Will try to find. -

I understand, not doing very well either, tomorrow's another day. Ugh :( -
<OT> I realize this thread is old, but wanted to say amen to this - I don't even install the main program anymore - everything can be backed up and restored if you have the DVD so long as you can boot to DVD, otherwise, I guess installing it might be needed. I use 2012 and it would seem I'd need to create a new account to even download an ISO - they're all over the place but I'm not sure I'd trust some of the offerings out there, try to find legit at least. https://kb.acronis.com/acronis-true-image-home-2012 At one point it was activated, but that was long ago and now I just use the live DVD with no stress, I promise you. <OT>

<OT> Sort of: Acronis was the very best investment I even purchased back in 2011. I just used it today in fact. I partition my hard drive and always back up to that partition so when my C: installation becomes unstable (usually due to the operator error ... :)) I sometimes can't even restart, so, today (I promise this is fact) I went to shutdown after Rogue Killer decided (for me) that my system was corrupt, I knew things were sour when it took forever to even attempt to restart and would not. Luckily I didn't have hold the power button (that is so bad for the equipment) I was able to get to the task manager with control alt delete and there at the top was restart and I was relieved as I just pressed F12 to boot to DVD ( I have the Acronis 2012 DVD ) and booted up and restored my backup from the E Partition (D is the cd) and it takes no more than 15 minuets (give or take) and YAY ... I'm back up. I keep my backups on Flash drives and have several points when I consider worth restoring back to, but I don't even backup new unless I make significant changes. Watch out with Rogue Killer, folks, as it deleted system files. Gosh, I'd hope everyone would consider imaging and cloning their hard drive, because even system restore has left me 'high and dry' when things go wrong. <OT>

............... So happy you are here @mina7601 and @msfntor, and hopefully others will pop in and say hello. All folks that posted gave us insight and humility. For me, once somebody enters my thread, I consider they stopped by for a chat and I usually will put on pot of Early Grey Tea, and I don't usually forget when somebody crossed my path as I feel we are did so not by chance, but destiny. I'd like to say I don't get attached easily, but that would be false. We have not always been easy on the eyes here, but we were/are real, and they can't even take that away. Sometimes honesty can't be a brutal realization, but nonetheless, important experiences and lessons come from the honestly of others. At times, we've headed down a dark road, but we cam back around and living proof of being human and alive. Hopefully, others will return and say hello, but if not, I do wish the very best to all and I hold no regret and am glad we've reopened the MSFN café. Come as you are

ProxHTTPSProxy and HTTPSProxy in Windows XP for future use
XPerceniol replied to AstroSkipper's topic in Windows XP
Hi Guys.. Had to do some soul searching after giving this more thought, and while I'm honored to be nominates to be on the team for this impressive project; sadly, I've decided to step from the project (sometimes better to stay out of the way of progress rather than hinder) and be glad and excited for everyone involved. Unfortunately, after trying to update and seek out what I would need to do to get this Dell Optiplex 745 and My Ancient Dimension 3000 up to speed, I realized that I'd be better to keep things the way they are, much like myself, just barely breathing and allow them to huff and puff. Luckily, nothing has blown up, but I have protective goggles and armor for when that does occur to not hurt by the shrapnel Again, I'm stoked at the excitement and your vision @AstroSkipper, and that you would even consider someone such as myself to even attempt to pretend I know what I'm doing - Some (most) days, I'm one bolt short (more than one) to be a nutcase. I'd like to say I'm the brains (so not) not even the brawn, but I'll gladly accept badge of "Beauty". To tell you the truth, I usually crack my mirrors and that was 6 years ago, so 1 more year of bad luck ... Lol Seriously, I learn something every day and this was no exception, and honestly, I'm happy that my computers are even still winding up like my false teeth. Ok ... Enough off topic ... and Love you guys, Sending well wishes going forward and don't mistake this as me giving up or getting discouraged. Sincerely Yours, ~Mister Blofish No reply needed.- 922 replies

Sorry, I got off track and botched up system. Turns out Rogue Killer doesn't like it and this is warning to anybody that uses it, it just made my system unable to boot, avoid it (Rogue Killer) for now until we know more about this. As you can see, I'm back thanks for Acronis ... like nothing happened. As you can see: C+++2010 ... so loos like I've some updated to do. Thank you for telling/reminding me. I'm going to start fresh and uninstall and remove anything from the old cert updater or anything from @heinoganda so I don't confuse with yours. Oh and just wanted to also say, system restore did NOT work so need to backup well when making changes.- 922 replies

That's great, guys. Me, not having any luck (other than bad luck) I'm afraid. I'm (truly) at a loss because no matter what I do it won't run and I'll attache the pics. Seriously, not a clue and never use this before. Tried to enable it system wide but no luck. this error I get no matter what. These were errors I get when trying manually to start the applications. Any advice is appreciated and a bit of "hand holding" might be required. Lol..- 922 replies

Yeah, its rare I can nap, my my anxiety some days are off ths chart and my mind is wound up mostly at bed time, but I'm working on it trying to calm and turn everything off and don't watch news past 6PM. Hope you are well today I thought everything on the internet was true Lol. Now, Lake Lanier has a decidedly eerie feel about it. Lake Lanier is the largest man-made lake in Georgia. Pretty though, still I don't like to walk under ladder. HA!

This was an awesome performance ...

Likely won't help much, but sometimes this helps a little as well. https://techgenix.com/aquicktiptoprocesssystemidletasksforcefully/ Also: I do enjoy reading that site for news. https://techgenix.com/top-tech-news/ ~Off Topic~ This is about as good as I can get it for 360 V13 and I am running videos and they are a little choppy but leave the mouse alone and don't touch anything, and don't move at all ... hahahaha! Oh, and.. I DO admit I'm having svchost issues and I'm loading some invalid drivers or something. At chkdsk c: /f/x At every boot, so keep up on that too and see if you can bring that down, as well, could help. Also keep in mind, I'm dealing with failing hard drive and bad sectors.
-
Hi there ... I assume you're speaking regarding 360 V13?! V11 and DC Browser won't skip and I'm only rolling with 2GB of ram and hardly any fonts nowadays and tweaked to the hills Lol ... Please try this Firemin or Wise Tray (memory cleaner - again, only extract that application from the zip file) and see if they help a little, but no miracles either way on V13 as even @Dave-H and @AstroSkipper mentioned (as well as others) its a recourse hog and when I need to use it, just reduce the priority of other background applications and/or processes to the lowest priority. Windows Explorer is pretty high as its normal priority unless I change it. right click on your process and you can change and lower them and it will help a little with V13 Good luck PS: The only reason I'm running the spoolsv.exe is because I need to print with my HP Printer today; otherwise, I kill that off and (of course) that taskmgr.

I don't know how "good" I am but I'm real. I'm a take em or leave em type and people usually leave. Ha! Hope you're well, Draker. Anyways ... we're back open with a new jukebox, but the same classic vinyl records, of course Enjoy you're day/evening and we're open 24/7. Sometimes that coffee was from what was made early in the morning to expect bitter taste. David Hasselhoff walks into a bar and says to the barman, "I want you to call me David Hoff." The barman replies "sure thing, Dave... no hassle."

Gosh my atrocious writing ... I meant voting against ones own interests. But yeah, I also don't focus on world affairs as I can't help anyway and better to just stay out of the way Lol ... Rodney Dangerfield was a self deprecating comedian, but you DO see what others *may* not and you asked and I think you saw what is/was beyond the surface and that is pain. Most comedy there is pain, especially those that use themselves as the joke (as he did). I don't mind laughing at myself at all either. And, of course, I didn't in any way mean to undermine his (Russel Brand) recovery as he shares his struggles with drugs and openly talks freely about his mental health and new found spirituality and I don't think he is dead wrong at all, and even Jim Carrey will discuss it and prefers to go without medication. I more meant that Russel has (developed or fostered) a big ego - though I guess he is laughing all the way to the bank ... so they say on that channel. I do remember his back in his awful dark days. Nobody is without sin - hate the sin - not the sinner. And you're very welcome and so happy you're getting stronger and sharing as you do helps others. I do hope even 1 or 2 things I've written (we and others in this thread) helps someone out there to know they are NOT alone even if feels that way sometimes. I hope people are managing as I might do the "unthinkable" hahaha ... as I may allow this thread to drop if no others people need support and I might open up the Cafe again. I get the feeling others would post but are not because it is my thread and they feel it would effect me. You have helped me by returning to this forum. -

My Browser Builds (Part 3)
XPerceniol replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Scripting is getting so heavy, sometimes, I click on something and walk away for a little while. I usually user Serpent, but, sadly, it no exemption. However, for me, I've found: Version 52.9.0 (32-bit) Build ID 20220701004211 To be much better than the previous and successor. Serpent 55 still fails for me as of course ff52.9.1. I plan to stick by Serpent. I will admit I've been curious to ask ... seems: The main application has not changed since.. Serpent 4.8.4.8147 2022 04 22 013422 So since its no longer, I presume updates (or patches) are to this application and that won't change. I'm asking as I don't know. Thank you for your patience - I'm sure at times I (Mister Blobfish) have tested some on here -

Well ... I did just watch both videos and I"ll admit a bit hard at times, and sorry.. I (certainly) wasn't laughing not even at it or them and I'm not professing to be a 'good person' or anything special. I'm just trying to live out the remainder of my life without vetoing again my own interests. http://justice-everywhere.org/democracy/how-do-people-vote-against-their-own-interests/ Like .. why would I do such when already fragile and skating on 'thin ice' why, WOULD I, remove my own (so called) socialistic programs that keep me able to live on my own when they (conservatives) would in a New York minute either have me or people like myself institutionalized or in a group home. I can get us wash my azz on my own and make a sandwich, but not always and there have been times when I've needed help. I could go on but perhaps shouldn't as I don't want to get banned from here. Again, sorry, don't see this laughing and I'd recalled Russell_Brand, but forgot just how smug he's become and this is a bit disappointing (again, not laughing) more disheartening but not saddened by other people anymore, only by situations. My own dreams and wishes have mostly been squashed. Re Russell Brand: Following the cessation of his use, Brand revealed through his stand-up performances that he introduced his drug dealer to Kylie Minogue during his time at MTV[209] and masturbated a stranger in a public toilet for a television programme.[210] In January 2014, Brand described his first experience with heroin as "blissful".[123] While I myself believe we are all spiritual (yeah, I said I wouldn't touch it, but hard to restrain) but when people think they are better, I have issue. I'm not saying he didn't make a good recovery but, honestly, he makes my skin crawl. Sorry and I'm saying this with and extremely addictive personality. Opiates scare me as that bliss almost became my demise. Cocaine was not issue. Other party substances I do not miss. I am very medicated but only prescription which, in some ways, is not better, but this is my choice and going inpatient has serious consequences and mostly capitalism would prefer the weak go away. My word, Ronald Regan would be rolling over in his grave if he could see the new GOP. Its ok, I now take it day-by-day and will roll with the punches and with the flow. Just by nature I'm against the tide but still need to with with the current as best to save the fighting for the younger and healthier as I'd be more of hinder to get involved. Laughing about people that are vaccinated that wound up getting CV anyway, I don't know, never fully believed I was protected, rather, just hope if I do get it it will be manageable. I could link video I've been watching where people were going under the ventilator diagnosed with CV and still professing to be a scam. Why do you say or can you say to people that are laughing at this. Sorry, I'm not. In fact laughing at others goes again the very bible most religious people quote from. I have 4 Bible right here in my living room. 1 was from my dearly departed father as a give and its very special. Proverbs 24:17-18 ESV / 72 helpful votes Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles, lest the Lord see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from him. Going to have to stop here for now. Be well as possible everyone. -
Agree, running Wise 360 and the Wise Tray is too much, but only Wise Tray (alone) is pretty good. Looking around: Is this what you recommend - V8? https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/firemin_portable.html This is new to me and I appreciate any 'teaching moment' as good way to spend time rather than worry about things I've no control over.
