My Browser Builds (Part 2)
XPerceniol replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Ahh.. I knew it couldn't have been that easy Lol TY @VistaLover for all your hard work digging up all that information about Advanced Chrome - I won't bother with it then and will someday have to take the leap to 360EE should I need to. But for right now, Roy's builds do everything I need so I'm 'Chillin' Like a Villain' ~Off Topic~ -

Request: @dencorso or another moderator, would you kindly move our postings (pertaining to Opera) over to a thread better dedicated to Chromium discussion so we can further discuss this - I feel we're being disrespectful to Roy1 - thank you in advance. Well.. Chromium V54.20.6503 does work, but youtube is all blank? https://archive.org/download/advancedchromev54.20.6530.0/Advanced_Chrome_v54.20.6530.0.zip -

~Off Topic~ Yes, with that string, I was able to download that exactly as your screenshot. However, it didn't install at all once downloaded. So, I grabbed a portable copy of both: Opera GX and Opera Neon and neither will work at all?? Opera GX Opera Neon - https://www.opera.com/computer/neon I only use Opera 36.0.2130.80 when I absolutely have no choice. If I need to use Chrome, I'll either go with Vivaldi (Chrome49) SlimJet (Chrome V50) or Iron (ChromeV49) or Chromium 49, because Opera 36 skips and youtube doesn't look right at all. But Opera (all 5 browsers) do work for me, nonetheless. However, UC Browser gives me way too much trouble than its worth so I refuse to use that one. I know, though, sometimes we need Chrome when our UXP browsers are limited. ~Off Topic~ -

Well, I'm getting there, my friend - thanks so much for all your advice/help. I don't know about others, but CCleaner doesn't even pick up Serpent at all - so I'll have to add my own rules - goodie ... something to keep me busy! Jeez ... I had no idea what was being stored until now ... please bare in mind, I'm just learning as I go here with this. Again ... TY @Sampei.Nihira EDIT: Thus far - below rules appears to take care of 'local appdata"; unless I'm totally clueless, which is a good possibility!

jeez ... I get the opposite - phone calls telling me I'm going to jail if I don't pay up or whatever, and they (the caller) usually have an thick accent from parts unknown. Used to scare me, however, I still let calls go to voicemail for the most part.

Root Certificates and Revoked Certificates for Windows XP

I've (personally) found this evil entity hiding once in my machine - the only fix (I can recall) was to burn sage in the room and it was expelled out by sunrise. If the doesn't work, you're only hope is an exorcist. Sorry.. I just couldn't resist See what a helpful member I am of this (here) forum ... I guess that online course I took in 'electronics possession' (truly) did pay off. -

I'll keep it going on my 2 Dell Towers on 'bare metal' - they are so old they don't even plug in to the wall - they have a crank in the back Seriously though.. To keep our outdated systems running, we have to 'cripple' much of it and can no longer do what we used to back in its "heyday". I run a pretty basic limited slim installation now. Yeah.. same here - XP is more-or-less for nostalgia sake and project to keep me on my toes

My Browser Builds (Part 2)
XPerceniol replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Of course, after resetting those (invalid) prefs, they are now empty strings in New Moon. However, when I was going through Serpent52 - resetting them defaulted them to (back to) "False" - so I guess they are valid in ST52 ... go figure -
