  1. Glad I could be of some help here for a change - I was beginning to think I was "leaching" here rather than being of some benefit to the forum Lol.. Yeah, @siria google does what google does best...don't they
  2. @D.Draker@Ximonite@Dave-H@dencorso@xper and other MSFN moderators/staff Guess what... Problem solved YAY - in both my palemoon [new moon] and basilisk [Serpent[ browsers - both @roytam1 browser builds. As you can (clearly) see, now, everything - all the buttons appear as they should! Here are the changes I made to my prefs.js file.. I Removed the following lines - which in turn, will now allow the following (user_pref("gfx.) settings to run at their default(s). So, it appears to be something having to do with "gfx", at least in my case. user_pref("gfx.blacklist.direct2d", 3); user_pref("gfx.canvas.azure.backends", "cairo"); user_pref("gfx.canvas.skiagl.dynamic-cache", false); user_pref("gfx.crash-guard.d3d11layers.feature-d2d", false); user_pref("gfx.crash-guard.d3d11layers.feature-d3d11", false); user_pref("gfx.crash-guard.status.d3d11layers", 2); user_pref("gfx.direct2d.disabled", true); user_pref("gfx.downloadable_fonts.disable_cache", true); user_pref("gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled", false); user_pref("gfx.downloadable_fonts.woff2.enabled", false); user_pref("gfx.font_rendering.cleartype.use_for_downloadable_fonts", false); user_pref("gfx.font_rendering.graphite.enabled", false); user_pref("gfx.font_rendering.opentype_svg.enabled", false); EDIT: Don't ask me why.. I just had a 'hunch' is was something to do with those settings :)
  3. Testing with - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Goanna/4.7 Firefox/68.0 Basilisk/52.9.0 - A Roytan1 Build. Cleared the cache and still, I see many blank square buttons as I did when I just posted with new moon (palemoon).
  4. Testing with New Moon 28.10.2a1 - A Roytam1 browser build, so we'll see after I hit "post"?! BTW.. Here is a screen shot of all the blank buttons I see here on Win XP Service Pack 3.
  5. Welcome to MSFN; Ricardo95.. Yeah, it is fun - isn't it to tinker. By far.. the very best investment in software was when I purchased acronis true image, so matter how many (countless) times I've botched my system (tinkering), I'm back in business in about 8 minutes with my 1 of several images I've created on removable storage - backups are soo important! See ya around the forum :)
  6. Yay!! Both the snowman and santa are working.. just like they did almost 10 years ago. I would post vids, but I don't even have a youtube account. 2 more days left till the holidays are upon us and it can't come fast enough; for me. Everyone here must think I'm nuts (no argument there) for creating this thread in the great "funny farm" sub-forum.. I mean I had good intentions anyway. Oh well.. Honestly, for the most part, I usually stay in the XP sub-forum here, as I wholeheartedly support Roytam1 and his efforts to provide us with his browser builds that work quite well for so many of us - it was what initially drew me to join this great forum - and I'm glad I did as I've learned so much from the community. Let me take this opportunity to wish everyone here at MSFN a happy holiday and happy; healthy; and safe new year in advance! I'm feeling : Exhausted.
  7. So.. today, I found a animated snowman, and an animated santa in the basement. The snowman taps its toes to "cotton-eyed-joe", and the santa twirls around - and pulls his pants down - and dances to "you-all-ready-for-this". Tomorrow I'll hit the dollar store and pick up some cheap batteries and see if I can breathe some life into those old holiday ornaments. Gosh.. they are no doubt around a decade old now; so I"ll be surprised if they still work...oh the memories I'm feeling : Content
  8. ~~That was a funny story D and D <off-topic> Same here, guys, I use a LG442BG 'pay as you go' Flip phone - I've NEVER owned, and have no interest in ever owning a smartphone. I've tried out other peoples and I don't like it. Don't like the text; nor do I like the sound. I got used to pressing the phone right up against my ear and the person at the other end just keeps say "huh" all the time, I don't have that issue with my flip phone. Also; there is this lag I experienced on a smart phone when speaking that I also never had with my trusty old phone. Ok, I'll also share something very off topic others might consider a bit odd/funny. I see people al the time while walking around town with earbuds connected to their smartphone. Me.. my earbuds are connected to a tiny offline mp3 player HA!! Even better, sometimes I will also walk around with a (wait for it..) cassette player Walkman. I'm almost 48 and I could truly care less what other people think :) </off-topic>
  9. So.. how's it going everyone here at our great forum?? Sometimes, when we're short on words, all we can come up with is 1 word to pretty much sum up how we're feeling. Let us try to keep this positive and not let it too negative (even if, indeed you do feel completely "Sh!tty"), let us avoid going downhill too far), only because, I'm hoping to promote positivity and hope when times are rough and people have a lot to deal with - especially around the holidays; as if they aren't already stressful enough, this one will be difficult for many of us. Besides.. it nice to know you're not along out there, and the forum is another way to stay connected to one-another. Ok.. I'll start.. (cautiously) Optimistic
  10. Welcome to MSFN Great to have you here. I hope find what your looking for, and I'd bet there in certainly something we can learn from your experience and knowledge; as well. I had family in Greenville at one time, and I enjoyed visiting several times when I was (way) younger. I'll soon be 48. *Waves hello* from up here in NE USA PS - Its a winter wonderland up here today!!
  11. Hello and nice day, MSFN mods. @dencorso or @Tripredacus Would you kindly change my username from sal here to XPerceniol Thank you in advance
  12. Just a quick question to clarify something.. Would it be advisable for the sake of privacy to set the following: gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled - to "true" or "false"? Also, as you noted.. "gfx.downloadable_fonts....." comes with a bunch of sub-prefs, specifying fallback waiting times, sanitizing, a separate setting for woff2-fonts etc..... (no clue, just as hints ;-)) Attached are how my prefs are set in the latest Serpent Build. Also: as you noted.. "While at it, in my prefs have also stored this comment note: "layout.css.font-loading-api.enabled__INFO" = "INFO: sends list of INSTALLED fonts / Avoid fingerprinting / Attention: reCaptcha?"" I only have one pref for ayout.css.font-loading-api.enabled, and its set to false. When you say you stored this comment note, did you add another string to add the comment? Thanks in advance everyone for your helpful postings and advice! TC, ~Sal
  13. There were no changes from my side (no hardware changes, no software changes, and no configuration changes) after buildID=20200904161558 - it wasn't until the two builds following that BuildID the application error bug began for me?! And I've been surfing and posting.. here, there, and everywhere this evening with not a single error whatsoever with buildID=20200904161558. Ever since I started using roytam1's builds, I've updated every week with no issues up until now with Basilisk/Serpent, so whilst I'd rather not go backwards, I'll give every new build a try again and see what happens before downgrading again.
  14. Thank you, roytam1, for your attention on this issue. And we understand that you'll be busy between your job and moving, so take your time, its not that big of a deal; not for me anyway. As I said.. It doesn't occur in Build ID 20200904161558.. so I'll just stick with that for the time being Have a good one!
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrGS_6_HglU Zoe Wees - Control PS - Still can't get the player to show up...aarrgghh :D
  16. Hey there, @IXOYE Are you still getting this error? After the latest build, I'm still getting that same error. "0x01aedbc6" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read" So, I've yet again, rolled back to Build ID: 20200904161558 and it doesn't happen?! Perhaps, @roytam1 ...you can chime in and offer some insight on this, when you have the time; of course. And again, thanks for the hard work you do
  17. Hello, IXOYE.. I rolled back to build id: 20200904161558 and it hasn't happened since...go figure?! We'll see, perhaps the next build will take care of the issue. Have a good one!
  18. Hello and nice day everyone ! Question.. Am I the only one getting this basilisk.exe application error? ~`The instruction at "0x01aedbc6" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".~` It wasn't happening until I upgraded to the last build. I hope my RAM is going dead :-( Thanks in advance and take good care! ~Sal untitled.bmp
