DDR3, most any speed will work with the M5A97 R2.0, I personally use this in mine: (Although it's twice as much as it used to be when I bought it!) https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-1866MHz-DDR3/dp/B00J8E91UO Also, I'm curious: What CPU and GPU are you putting in it?

Server 2003 is not listening to pagefile settings?
i430VX replied to i430VX's topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4
Figured it out with some research. Task manager is deceiving when it says pagefile size. It's actually describing the commit, which I know means total private bytes (PF+RAM) held by processes. So that means I've only allocated 2GB out of my 4GB pagefile, and only ~1GB is being used at the time -
That's not good! Hope it all goes well

What's going on here?

Okay, but another tiny problem

Several people (me including) gather at ryanvm when MSFN goes down to scratch our heads, it is seen as pretty much a sister site, yes (AFAIK).

Welcome to MSFN, Dave! Enjoy your stay.

ah. I shut off the auto updater long time ago, before these issues even started.

Adobe Flash, Shockwave, and Oracle Java on XP (Part 2)
i430VX replied to Dave-H's topic in Windows XP
New java update 181: Installer still broken. The gz file still works... get it here: (make sure to accept the license agreement!) http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/es/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html?printOnly=1 http://prntscr.com/k90ben -
Well, using FCWin2k its possible to use Yandex.Disk on XP x64! The "Classic" Version is supposed to work on XP x64, but doesn't. Simply download the classic (new has missing kernel functions) and open it up in fcwin2k. Then Set OS Ver to Windows XP SP3, and click runcompat. Presto! FCWin2k download: (Must be registered user and logged in on MSFN) https://msfn.org/board/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=42581

you could PM @heinoganda for his ProxHTTPSProxy version, which adds tls1.1/1.2 ciphers to XP, including x64, as i've tested. NOTE: It does not literally add them, it just makes sites/resources with them usable.

Last versions of software for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008
i430VX replied to WinClient5270's topic in Windows Vista
Having recently ditched Skype for Telegram, it doesn't affect me, but has anyone else tried to fudge the new Skype onto XP/Vista? I did, but to no avail. But my programming knowledge is limited.- 1,227 replies

Well Windows 8.1x86 for some bizarre reason wouldn't accept any of my MSDN or retail keys, sooo I just put 10 x86 on it. Oh well. Not my tablet. (like I'd even use one)

32-Bit UEFI? Since when? I've never heard of such a thing. Also if it's on 10 like that page says, isn't that Windows 8 in the picture? I'll try to get my hands on an evil windows 10 ISO. Just fixing it for someone, I'd certainly never use 10. By the way, I can turn Secure boot OFF in the BIOS settings, if that makes a difference in possibly running 8x86, which I haven't tried, only x64 First Ill try 8.1 x86, otherwise 10 it is, I guess

I'm trying to do a fresh install of Windows on a Trio tablet. Model name is Trio Windows 10.1 OD. Current windows install is completely trashed, and unbootable. I believe it has windows 8.1. I tried preparing a USB flash drive with a windows 8.1 ISO, I tried Rufus, the Windows DVD download tool, and just extracting the ISO to the drive. All refuse to boot, even with the flash drive set at the highest priority in the BIOS boot list. What am I doing wrong here?

My Browser Builds (Part 1)
i430VX replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
I cannot say exactly what differs in his changes as I do not know, but yes, you can overwrite the files in the palemoon folder, works fine for me. Yes regular is for Microprocessors supporting SSE2 (and beyond) instruction sets -
AOL Shield browser now available for Windows XP and Vista
i430VX replied to sdfox7's topic in Windows XP
After significant research I could not locate a version later than 1.0.0.35. Anyone have a paid AOL account, therefore access to their support people? If so maybe ask what happened?- 35 replies

AOL Shield browser now available for Windows XP and Vista
i430VX replied to sdfox7's topic in Windows XP
Well, that didn't last long. The download page has been removed. the links you found for download still work, but just in case they cease to work, I have archived the last known version (1.0.0.35) on my server: http://i430vx.strangled.net/files/XP/EOL/AOL Shield 1.0.0.35 Setup.exe- 35 replies

You're Welcome. -
don't know if you're still having the issue but it works now for me. Xper fixed the download issue a while ago

all of the netburst and later celerons (up to 3rd gen) should not have an issue running Vista on their respective architectures. And there may have been some early Intel Atom NetBooks capable of running Vista, however not very well, being Netbooks I'm pretty sure the Intel 945 chip set was the first to have an Aero driver
