  1. Thanks for your reply, that driver didn't work for me though. I managed to get a beta driver, provided by Biostar, working on my system after adding my device to the .INF file.
  2. How could this be done? I can't find a way to get this working. Using a Pentium Gold CPU with Intel UHD 630 here. Any recommendations?
  3. Hi there, is there any place where Office 2007 SP3 .exe files are still stored? On the Microsoft site, I get redirected to Microsoft Update, but I only see .cab files over there. I am specifically looking for the Dutch SP3.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I will try on Windows 7, as I just could not get it working on Vista with any of the browsers found in this topic. Thank you, I did all of this and could not get it working.
  5. I might be the only one, but I tried Disney Plus today on Pale Moon 27 and Basilisk 52 running on Windows Vista (with the enabled VP9, DLL's) and it doesn't work. After clicking on Play, I get Error 83. Someone who maybe knows how to solve it, if it can be solved?
  6. This is the link: https://www.microsoftedgeinsider.com/en-us/download/
  7. It seems like Microsoft Edge (The version based on Chromium) is also coming to Windows 8!
  8. The latest build of Pale Moon 28 for Windows XP works great on Windows Vista SP2 x86. Huge thanks to all the people contributing to this amazing project!
  9. I use the latest version of Firefox (Quantum) on Windows 7 x86 and it works fine. Maybe you like it when you try it, it's quite fast.
  10. @greenhillmaniac Thanks for the update on the repository. Seems like a simple website is not needed anymore, because forums probably stay online which is amazing news!
  11. I am going to setup a simple website, with links to all of the usefull posts here on MSFN (Archived) and information about updates on XP, Vista, 8 after EOL, Windows 9x. So if anyone has important posts, you can send the archived link to me so I can put it on the website. Don't know about the name yet, suggestions are welcome. People can contact me at stefanschepers48 (at) yahoo (dot) com. Please let me know what you all think about it.
  12. I discussed it in the Vista Server 2008 topic, and if more people think it is a good idea, I want to start a simple website with all the important information of MSFN (Like Windows Server 2012 updates on Windows 8.0). If I have permission of course to link to your repository.
  13. What would be a good name for the site? I am going to put most important stuff on the site: POSReady 2009 updates on Windows XP Windows Server 2008 updates on Windows Vista Windows Server 2012 updates on Windows 8.0 Windows 10 Privacy Guide Links to for example service packs Important Windows 9x content If anyone has something important, please tell me.
  14. Maybe it's an idea to create at least a simple web page with information about Windows Server 2008 updates on Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2012 updates on Windows 8 RTM? Information about installing them, links to repository on MEGA (If allowed by the maintainers). If more people like this idea, I will try to do this. We can also put more information on it (Windows 10 Privacy guide, Windows XP SP1/2/3 links, IE7/8 links). MSFN was for me atleast, an unique forum where people are ok with each other when using an older Windows OS, where people try to keep using older Windows versions. MSFN is one of the few forums I have an account.
  15. This is one of the few forums I have created an account, and it really makes me sad to see it will be taken offline. I have not found another forum where people try to keep using older OSes, use OSes they actually want to use and try to keep it alive. Is there absolutely nothing we can do about it? I think everyone donating money today won't make a difference anymore...
  16. I did exactly the same, got a new PC and installed Windows 8 with all updates until Januari 2016 on it. Isn't slipstreaming the updates in a new Windows 8 ISO not an option?
  17. Support for Windows 10 RTM (1507) has ended on May 9, 2017. Only the LTSB version will continue to get security updates. Those updates are available to download from the Microsoft Update Catalog. I will install those updates on the consumer version of 1507 in the coming days, to see if it works. If it works, we are able to stay on the same Windows 10 release until 2025, and then we don't have to upgrade to new major releases which break things, and set your settings to default.
  18. Windows Server 2012 updates for August 2017: Monthly rollup: http://download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/software/secu/2017/07/windows8-rt-kb4034665-x64_6733991df5f1150f6e6943db7ea9befd028eb1c4.msu Adobe Flash: http://download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/software/secu/2017/08/windows8-rt-kb4034662-x64_1b623147366693156ece9dd92a722a5c1c92f00a.msu Haven't found .NET updates, don't know where those are listed.
  19. Thanks. If you say they are directly from Microsoft, then I trust you. Thanks for maintaining the repository!
  20. Are those updates only for English systems, or do they work on Dutch installations too? And I assume the updates are downloaded straight from Microsoft Update Catalog?
  21. And of all Windows Phone users, more than 70% are using Windows Phone 8.1 (which is now unsupported). 30% is on Windows 10 Mobile, so Microsoft did not have the same strategy for Windows Phone as for Windows desktop. Microsoft isn't actively pushing Windows 10 Mobile, you need an app to update to the OS and most Windows Phone 8.1 users don't know about that. And I thought Microsoft was all about security, like with Windows XP EOL.
  22. I used to have an Adata SSD with Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista SP2 on it. I downloaded an utility from their website (I think it only works for Adata SSD's) which was able to manually perform TRIM. It worked on Windows XP and Vista.
  23. I think it's just kind of Windows Aero 2.0, with transparancy on places people didn't ask for. (People asked for 3D-flip, transparent/glass window borders). But hey, we have Aero Glass For Windows 8+ for that. Of course Microsoft did not add transparancy on the places we asked for, Microsoft 2016.0/2017.0 doesn't care about what people want. (People want a simple OS, which is stable and doesn't have telemetry, like greenhillmaniac said earlier).
  24. I have the same, as you can see on the screenshot. (In Dutch). I am using Windows 10 Pro 1507 x64 I have done some things in gpedit.msc, but nothing regarding Windows Update. I have disabled the Windows Update service though, and removed almost every UWP app, and disabled the Cortana search.
  25. With the release of Firefox 53 today, support for Windows XP and Windows Vista has ended. http://news.softpedia.com/news/firefox-53-officially-drops-support-for-windows-xp-and-windows-vista-514975.shtml I know it's already listed in the first post, but this post is just to mention it has happened today.
