So I paid for a license a few weeks ago, one for my PC one for my laptop. I have used only 1 activation right now on my PC, but I just replaced the motherboard, and if I activate it will it think it's a different PC and lock out the second one? How do I reset it or something? There doesn't seem to be any way to email support or anything. Thanks, para

I turned off all protections (RealTime, Cloud, Tampering) from Security Settings Tweaked Group Policy to turn off Windows Defender Antivirus and disable Behavior Monitoring Whitelisted those registry entries when Defender still somehow came up with calling them "threats" Disabled scanning from Task Scheduler Restarted several times But this "Antimalware Service Executable" service still sits there hogging my RAM. I'm sick of it, I just want the whole thing gone. How do I do it? someone please help.

Hello everyone, Right now, I am using Windows 10 1507 on my PC. The enterprise version of this OS is part of the LTSB branch. Will this mean that build 10240 will get updates for a long time (10 years or something like that), or does it mean that I have to upgrade to 14393 (1607) LTSB to get updates? If 10240 is indeed getting updates for years, maybe we are able to download them from the Update Catalog, and also install them on Home & Pro versions. If this is working, we don't have to upgrade to the latest build of Windows 10 all the time. Thanks.

Hello everyone! So, the other day, I was reading a blog post somewhere (lost the link) but it said that roughly 20% of Windows-based computers are still running Windows XP. This got me thinking about creating an unofficial "Microsoft Update" that will specifically aim to provide user-created hotfixes and updates. Now, the first step I decided to take, was to find a Service Pack 4, more or less, that will provide all of the Windows Updates post-SP3 to XP's end of life. I ended up finding that @harkaz is creating exactly what I was looking for. (http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/171171-introducing-unofficial-windows-xp-sp4/) Note that I have also found the registry "hack" that provides POSReady updates for XP, so security updates aren't a big concern. The next step is to find people who either have made, or are willing to make hotfixes for Windows XP, or to find a place that contains hotfixes post-EoL for XP. So this is pretty much where I'm at with this idea. I've started to design the GUI for the application, but it has no functionality whatsoever at the moment. And thoughts, ideas, concerns, questions, or something? Basically all I'm looking for is feedback from the community. Thanks!

Okay, I need some help with my windows 8.1 computer. Whenever I go to customization, and click on "Color" It gives me this error: I've tried doing a sfc /scannow and got this I have the CBS log if you do need to review over it. I have a theory that the Windows Aero for 8.1 Alpha caused this, but I do not wish to do system restore at this time. (Reason, I think it is that as I have tried doing that and it didn't work, so I uninstalled the files using the uninstall and delete button.) Thank you. Elijah
