  4. You're not thinking of "Show me the way" by Peter Frampton by any chance?
  5. Oh well, I tried. However, you must admit there are some remarkable similarities.
  6. Yes, give Microsoft a call, I'm sure everything will be just fine.
  7. I think it's "Get The Message" by Electronic; well it might be.
  8. Run Regedit.exe as an administrator Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls Folder\PowerCfg Right-click on the “GlobalPowerPolicy” key and choose “Permissions”. Click on the “Advanced” button. Click “Add”. Type INTERACTIVE and click “Check names”, then OK. Check the “Set value” and “Create Subkey” checkboxes in the “Allow” column, and click OK, then OK, then OK. Do the same thing with the “PowerPolicies” key.
  9. I wouldn't recommend using WEP. If your AP supports it, I would use WPA; it is much more secure!
  10. An Ethernet station refers to a PC wired to the Router. Your subnet mask cannot be 255.255.255.1, that is not a valid subnet mask, I assume you mean 255.255.255.0 The third digit of 192.168.X.Y, in this case X, must be the same. All the Ys must be different (any number from 1 to 254).
  11. Which security prompt is this? Can you provide a screenshot? I don't get any prompts when I run a VBScript.
  12. Take it easy, m.i.l.e.s. People are not here at your beck 'n' call. If no-one replies then no-one replies. To be fair you haven't contributed much to this Forum. 5 posts, and 2 of them here. Be patient and maybe, just maybe you'll get a solution to your problem.
  13. It certainly wasn't designed to provide network services.
  14. Just the default theme. OK, so I'm boring, sorry.
  15. It would no doubt involve some "jiggery-pokery" with the Registry and maybe a DLL file or two. Is it worth it when a home router costs very little?
  16. Try ... http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/service411.htm
  17. Good riddance to bad rubbish! Long live USB Flash Memory!
  18. Simply don't use the PCI slot next to the AGP graphics slot.
  19. I wasn't aware that Windows 98 had an "administrator" account as such.
  20. So, Dellius, you don't think it's genuine?
  21. You could try repairing your XP installation. Reboot from your XP CD, follow instructions as though you were doing a fresh install and about 3-4 screens in you have the option to Repair your current installation. Don't worry, it won't delete any User Accounts or Applications; it just removes the Windows files and puts them back again (sort of). Actually, before you try that you could try ... C:\>sfc /scannow
  22. As cluberti said, that's normal. You only have to worry if it says scvhost.exe, because that's a virus.
  23. Install the "Adminpak"? Then you can run AD Users & Computers on that PC.
  24. Logon as the Administrator, right-click My Computer > Properties, click on the Advanced Tab, click on the Settings button within User Profiles. If the other Administrator account is mentioned, select it and click Delete.
