  2. I don't believe so.
  3. Restart your computer, then logon as admin, that should remove the "in use" issue. Works for me.
  4. My computer at work failed miserably!
  5. Me too. There's lot's of possibles, maybes, kind ofs and ishs. To me the original image isn't sharp enough, or maybe that's just sour grapes!
  6. ScubaSteve, sorry to hear that you have had bad experiences with Maxtor, personally they've never let me down. I guess it's just one of those things, maybe yours were from a bad batch. I've always used and been able to rely upon Maxtor.
  7. ICS installs a mini DHCP server. If you set up your internet connection correctly on one machine, you can use static IP addresses on all machines.
  8. Don't use ICS?
  9. You could try PartitionMagic or Acronis Disk Director Suite.
  10. If you know the key you can download and use the following utility: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System...-Modifier.shtml Also, is that a picture of you, KellyK, you shameless hussey!!
  11. The following will hide the bin: save as reg file REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu] "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel] "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}"=dword:00000001 And this will show the bin: again save as reg file REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu] "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel] "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}"=dword:00000000
  12. It all looks rather splendid to me.
  13. I'm fairly sure that this has been asked before and I'm also fairly sure that the answer was no.
  14. This may sound too obvious, but have you "Googled" the exact error message?
  15. The Windows 2000 Resource Kit has a utility called "Cconnect.exe", or alternatively there is a utility called "UserLock" - http://www.pnltools.com/UserLock.asp
  16. I don't think it's possible using Group Policy, you're probably going to need a 3rd party utility for that.
  17. Why don't you just upgrade the Win2000 machine to XP?
  18. At0mic, you are a genius, pure and simple!
  19. I have installed Exchange on a Windows 2000 Server, and it has installed and configured IIS so that emails are available via a browser (http://mail.domain.name/exchange). Now, if I create a new website on the same server how do I make it use the alias "www" and not "mail"?? Or should I have created a website first and then installed Exchange???
  20. Are you sure you have installed the right SCSI drivers?
  21. I've given up trying to get Kazaa working, I'm giving this Shareaza a whirl.
  22. Is this Office XP by any chance? If so, you need to install Service Pack 3.
  23. I think I've entered the correct settings, it just refuses to connect. I did have Kazaa working some weeks ago but didn't save the settings. Bugger! I have opened the appropriate port and forwarded to my IP address. I just don't understand why it won't connect.
  24. Righty Ho, in that case ... Does anyone out there own a US Robotics router and use Kazaa? If so, what router settings do you use?
