  1. To quote Fred Flintstone! "Ewwwwwww Boy"
  2. @LoneCrusader, may I quote you on Ghacks. I don't need to identify you, but I just don't want to pretend that what you said was my original thought, and thus steal it.
  3. See @LoneCrusader I agree with you quite a bit there (and usually we vehemently disagree with each other). But it makes no sense for developers of Pale Moon and Seamonkey (which both utilize classic interfaces) to abandon operating systems like Windows 2000 or Windows XP, when the older-styled application goes alongside it so well. Also the mass support for such browsers would come from the classic OS community. Moon-Matt will not talk with ANYONE with disagrees with their ideologies.
  4. Got this month's updates and I installed the IE10 and Flash updates. Does anyone know when IE11 for Server 2012 is coming down? I'm hopeful that I can install it, but then remove the browser portion (just like I do with IE10 on the Add/Remove Components). I hope so.
  5. The way I see it @greenhillmaniac is that I'll be OK-ish until October 2023 (unlike you, I'm not a gamer, so I'm less affected). After which, I either move to a Linux distro, or else I bail on PCs being my daily driver. Maybe I can use a tablet full-time by then. Perhaps after 2023, I'll setup an older workstation with XP x64 Edition, use it offline and do all of my audio recording and editing on it.
  6. I "think" this change will suit that need @HarryTri
  7. Including Here: And Here ....
  8. Yeah there was a post on Ghacks about this, and another thread on here in the Server 2012 section. Thanks @ComputerNerd
  9. OK this was completely different - I confused this with a different post. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Wow!
  10. I had actually asked about that previously. Mind you, two things: I think IE10 for Server 2012 will be patched until October 2023. Also, I've removed IE 10, and still install the updates for IE10, just so that the Trident engine is kept updated. However, I use Firefox ESR Quantum 60
  11. I will say that on ghacks, the only crap I spew on Pale Moon is directed at the team. Marcus Straver and Matt Tobin are the epitome of (well you choose an expletive), so I will continue as I please to crap on those two, in addition to the fanboys that defend their actions at every turn. For that I will NOT apologize. All of the Lord Lestats and Alex's defend the team, even when no one in their right mind would do so.

  13. Right, but don't Server 2008 updates (usuable on Vista) did off in January 2020? Is MSE usuable on 7 Embedded?
  14. Since there've been little more than crickets chirping in this thread. I have the updates. I can post what I downloaded if need be.
  15. Just one question: with the external bus only being 16-bit, will a 32-bit hybrid environment run on a 386 SX CPU?
  16. It's just you ..... me ..... and the tumbleweeds.
  17. There was no SP3 for 64-bit XP. Actually the x64 release follows the codebase of Windows Server 2003, so they are slightly different operating systems (@jaclaz will argue that but anyway). When XP x64 Edition was released, it was already set up close to what SP2 was out of the gate.
  18. Happy New Year Everyone (from Southern Ontario in Canada). What is Eastern Standard Time? GMT+5 maybe? @roytam1, I'm no longer a consumer of you modded browsers (though I install New Moon on my parents' computer), I commend you on all of your hard work.
  19. Hey folks! My question directly relates to my Surface tablet running Windows RT, but I'm sure it's also the case with Windows 8.1. I reset my RT tablet because of perceived Windows Store issues (turns out my installation was fine, and I should have left well enough alone). Anyway, I went to the Windows Store to reinstall my apps. One app I wanted to reinstall was Bing Wikipedia Browser. But in the last two weeks, the app has been removed from the Store. Now, I understand that if I can obtain the AppX package files, I can use Powershell to install the app. Does anyone know how I might possibly be able to obtain the app, without its being on the Windows Store?
  20. These are the updates I've downloaded for Windows 8, from Server 2012., for December 2018 KB4471326 (Security Only Update) KB4471331 (Adobe Flash Update) **** INSTALLED **** KB4470199 (Internet Explorer 10 Update) **** INSTALLED **** KB4470492 (.NET v4.5.2 Update Rollup)
  21. It's working again on my Microsoft account. Just started working on it's own. So now I'm downloading my apps.
  22. Well over the last day or so, I've been unable to access to Windows Store on my Surface RT tablet. I've refreshed it, but that didn't fix the issue. I've completely reset the tablet. No go there either. The error I receive is: Windows Store isn't available right now. Please try again later. Initially, I was able to bring up the main screen of the Windows Store, but I'm unable to even do that now. Any help is appreciated.
  23. Not in this thread. Look up the thread on Windows XP: Impressions (or something like that). I'm not going to dump on the crew here. I've also benefited from @roytam1's work while I was running Vista.
  24. Do you really think he actually goes to the trouble to absolutely ensure his apps won't run on XP or Vista? I know his personality seems to suggest so. But do you think his aversion is that intense? Sure, we all know my present-day stance on XP, but I think it's amazing what Roytam1 has been able to get running
  25. Holy Crap! VistaLover welcomed you and helped the best he could. Sometimes, long-winded explanations are necessary so that all of the details can be examined and known about. He wants to arm you with info. **** IMPORTANT **** As for all the rest of you that called me an anti-XP troll - Now do you see the difference? I never told anyone they were long-winded, insulted them, or told them TL:DR. Sure I disagreed, but I wasn't trying to poke bees nests. I've refrained from my anti-XP "discussions" (which isn't cause for celebration - since it hinders open communication), but maybe next time, you'll remember what I just said. I'm still upset (not in a sucky way) that I was thought of as a troll, since I've also helped others on occasion. No one should ever have tow a "company line" when it comes to an open forum. But the disagreeable behaviour above is the type of thing that really should set you all off.
