  1. Thanks for sharing! Works fine in New Moon 28.10.3a1. You're welcome! The goal of all this is to restore and preserve important functionality in Windows XP for daily and future use. And access to VirusTotal is definitely important. Kind regards, AstroSkipper
  2. Yeah, you're right! Probability of using 360Chrome v11: for @XPerceniol 50% and for @AstroSkipper 50% too. That's a classical Laplace distribution! Of course, my favourite pants! Never worn any other pants!
  3. This version is already available as an English release in Humming Owl's thread: Cheers, AstroSkipper
  4. Hi to all people who are using a computer with a SSE only CPU or whose OS is Windows XP Professional 64Bit! In these cases you have to use the original release of ProxHTTPSProxyMII 1.3a (20150527), when you need to establish such a connection. Now I would like to know whether there is an interest in an updated and modified package of this version. One of my computers has an AthonXP 3200+ CPU with SSE instruction set only and therefore I have modified the mentioned package by including a launcher as it is in HTTPSProxy's package. The result is a proxy which can be served in the same way as it is in case of HTTPSProxy. All functions are available via systray icon and can be accessed comfortably. Let me know by commenting and reacting whether there is such an interest! Kind regards, AstroSkipper
  5. To surf anonymously , to get an IP from another country or to gain access to sites which are restricted in my country I use paid VPN services with no log policy. I try to trust them. And so far I am very happy with that. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  6. Hi @XPerceniol, I use PDF-XChange Viewer for years and it's working fine in Windows XP. Comparing to Adobe it is lightweight and you have editing function. It can be integrated into browsers by its provided plugin. Have a look here: Cheers, AstroSkipper
  7. Ok, I found the cause of this problem. The extension Download Manager (S3) 5.1.4 prevents showing the hash in 360Chrome v11. This extension has either to be uninstalled or disabled if accessing virustotal.com. Same in Mypal 68. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  9. Hi @NotHereToPlayGames, VirusTotal has changed its interface. A lot of old browsers didn't work anymore with VT's new interface. I could fix it in @roytam1's browsers and in @feodor2 Mypal 68 by setting variable dom.moduleScripts.enabled to false in about:config. Have a look in this post: The browsers Mypal 68, New Moon 28 and Serpent 52 are working properly with VT's new interface in Windows XP. Unfortunately the Chrome browsers 360Chrome v11 and 360Chrome v13 are not working with the new interface of virustotal.com. Loading of the new interface works, a file can be uploaded, the hash is generated, but the results (Checking hash) are not shown. I tried to change some script related flags, but without any success. I already know that there is a link for old browsers: https://www.virustotal.com/old-browsers/, but for external tools or browser add-ons only the new interface is important and will work. Any ideas how this could be fixed in your 360Chrome browsers? Cheers, AstroSkipper
  10. And following tools are working again with the new interface of virustotal.com in Windows XP: VirusTotal Uploader 2.2 and Winja VirusTotal Uploader 7.1. Here are the download links: https://www.virustotal.com/static/bin/vtuploader2.2.exe , https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/winja.html Kind regards, AstroSkipper
  11. I can confirm that following browsers are working with the new interface of virustotal.com if variable dom.moduleScripts.enabled is set to false in about:config: Mypal 68, New Moon 28 and Serpent 52. Firefox 52.9.0esr is natively working with the new interface of virustotal.com, presumably because of lacking this variable dom.moduleScripts.enabled. Unfortunately the Chrome browsers 360Chrome v11 and 360Chrome v13 are not working with the new interface of virustotal.com. I tried to change some script related flags, but without any success. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  12. And here is a link from December of 2015 where you can compare the Free and the Plus version: https://web.archive.org/web/20151229143305/https://www.sphinx-soft.com/Vista/order.html Have a nice day, AstroSkipper
  13. The portable version is not compatible with Windows XP. Only the versions ending in their name on XP are written for Windows XP. This is the free version for Windows XP: https://www.sphinx-soft.com/download/W10FC7.5/Windows10FirewallControlFree-XP-Setup.exe And this is the Plus (paid) version for Windows XP: https://www.sphinx-soft.com/download/W10FC7.5/Windows10FirewallControlPlus-XP-Setup.exe The Plus version is the one I use for years. It's definitely worth the money. I wouldn't use a portable version in case of a firewall. There are components which have to be installed in Windows sytem folder, otherwise the services couldn't start at Windows startup. The goal of a firewall must be in managing and controlling all connections, especially at system startup. A firewall should be deeply integrated into the system. Therefore a portable version isn't a good idea. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  14. Windows 10 Firewall Control XP 7.5 is a free version. I said I use the paid Plus version. It has a lot of features other firewall are lacking of.
  15. Or the access to this site from your location is restricted. Then you should use a VPN connection.
  16. Hi @mina7601, I've checked the link and it's working for me. Check your internet connection or try another browser! Or go to homepage, download section and then Windows 10 Firewall Control XP 7.5 at the bottom of this site! Cheers, AstroSkipper
  17. Hi @e-t-c, I tried al lot of firewalls in the past. The best I found is Windows 10 Firewall Control XP 7.5 from sphinx-soft.com. I use this special version for Windows XP for years and it's simply great. There is a Free and a paid Plus version. My preferred version is the Plus one. Try it! I love it! Here is a link of archived versions: https://www.sphinx-soft.com/download/W10FC7.5/ Cheers, AstroSkipper
  18. Not really! There are a lot of programs using IE8 engine to connect to internet. For example some email clients, the update function of some programs and so on. Access to WU or MU is only one area of application. If the system itself has to access an url which needs TLS 1.2 protocol, you have to use one of these proxies system-widely. I thought you read my article "ProxHTTPSProxy and HTTPSProxy in Windows XP for future use". I already described it there in detail. Therefore your statement is not correct. Cheers, AstroSkipper PS: BTW I wouldn't have started a thread about these proxies and logically I wouldn't have maintained them if there hadn't been any need to preserve and prepare them for future use. And to access MU or WU two other methods exist too where there is no "need" of these proxies. These methods are described in this post:
  19. Glad it works for you now! In some cases you need a proxy like ProxHTTPSProxy or HTTPSProxy in Windows XP. If you don't know what it is, have a look in my thread: Cheers, AstroSkipper
  20. Just a reminder! This thread here is about our proxies ProxHTTPSProxy and HTTPSProxy. All discussions about browsers relating to these proxies are welcome! But general considerations of browsers should be done in browser related threads! Otherwise, we were totally off-topic and that wouldn't be good! Cheers, AstroSkipper
  21. Ok. I added this problem to the issues of Mypal 68. Issue #78: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/78. @feodor2 gave me a tip to solve the problem by setting dom.moduleScripts.enabled to false. Setting dom.moduleScripts.enabled to false leads to loading of the new interface, a file can be uploaded and the results (Checking hash) are shown. The further good news are in New Moon 28 this setting works perfectly too. The VirusTotal Uploader 2.2 is working again either. And presumably the reason why it works in the old Firefox 52.9.0esr is that there is no entry dom.moduleScripts.enabled. In any case be aware that this setting could break other sites! Anyway, I'll stay with it and report if other sites are negatively affected. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  22. I have to correct my statement. The new interface of VirusTotal is shown in 360Chrome v11 but it doesn't work. You can upload a file, but results aren't shown. In all browsers I've tried I can't log in virustotal.com. The new "VirusTotal" is crap! Very strange is that Firefox 52.9.0esr is the only browser which really works on virustotal.com. New interface is shown correctly and works properly. So what's going on here? The only working tool to access VirusTotal service is Winja VirusTotal Uploader 7.1, but detailed results can only shown in a working browser like Firefox 52.9.0esr, of course. All other tools are broken on XP due to the new interface, unless your default browser is Firefox 52.9.0esr. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  23. Using palemoon-28.10.6a1.win32-git-20220521-d849524bd-uxp-1e871780f-xpmod.7z no problems here. This is the certificate you need: Maybe you can import it from another browser or use my for you exported certificate: https://www.mediafire.com/file/iak4kxtgsw6k5r3/openmptorg.crt/file Cheers, AstroSkipper
  24. The website virustotal.com works with its new interface in 360Chrome v11 (and presumably higher, not tested!). And for old browser only the minimal interface: https://www.virustotal.com/old-browsers/. Therefore a lot of extensions and access to VirusTotal api too will have been broken. Cheers, AstroSkipper
