  1. The following information is still missing: your OS, including the state of updating, your main browser and the exact specification of your CPU. I assume you have a CPU limited to the instruction set SSE. Is that correct? And is that the link to your grocery shop: https://www.asda.com/ ? Cheers, AstroSkipper In the most recent version of New Moon (palemoon-28.10.6a1.win32-git-20220618-d849524bd-uxp-43cfc69b2-xpmod) I can open the site mentioned above and search for products. When adding a product to the shopping cart, the browser redirects me to the login page. This is the end of my test due to the fact that I am not a registered customer and don't want to become one. Generally I can say the site works although it is crappy and heavy on loading. I use the extensions uBlock Origin and eMatrix to adjust the loaded content. For me, it is the best combination in New Moon and in roytam1's other browser editions. With eMatrix you can adjust exactly which content needs to be loaded or not, in contrast to NoScript. While searching for milk on ASDA, for example, uBlock Origin shows a count of 33 blocked requests. Without this AD blocker, it would be certainly awful or stressful to search for products using an old computer with less hardware resources. My testing system is a very old computer with 1.5 GB SD-RAM and a Pentium 4 2.8 GHz Northwood single core CPU. The OS is Windows XP Professional SP3, fully updated, and all POSReady updates are included, Kind regards, AstroSkipper

  3. JustOff offers a few extensions for multiple browsers, but most of his extensions are for Pale Moon only. Unfortunately, Greedy Cache is one of these extensions. If it was compatible with Firefox or Serpent, he'd have added most probably suitable compatibility strings to the file install.rdf. But you can add these strings by editing install.rdf, install your mod afterwards and do your own test. It's totally easy, and you have nothing to lose. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  4. @genieautravail Now, you can see there are a lot of choices to implement a custom button in one of our beloved legacy browsers, unlike in the case of Mypal 68. The script aboutabout is the only way to do that in modern Firefox/Mypal browsers. There are no such extensions, and all old custom buttons don't work anymore. That's one of the reasons I created this thread. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  5. Hi @genieautravail, in New Moon 28, you can either use the extension Custom Buttons 0.0.5.8.9.6 if you have a working script for such a button, or much easier the extension More About 3.0.0 or Addons Memory Usage 12.9 in combination with Addons Memory Usage Button 1.2. Scripts for the extension Custom Buttons made by users can be downloaded here: http://custombuttons.sourceforge.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=4 And here is the link to a working button called About: Menus Mod which does the same: http://custombuttons.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=367&p=1945&hilit=aboutabout#p1945 Cheers, AstroSkipper
  6. aboutbutton The script aboutbutton.uc.js adds a button with a context menu to the navigation bar and to the main context menu a new submenu that allows opening different about pages in a new tab. All about pages with one click as it was possible by the old legacy add-on More About! A similar web extension exists but doesn't work, i.e., it is just crap. Anyway, I love it and I hope you love it too! The original version is a German one. I've translated it for you and provide an English version either. Tested and working. Requirements: Download package MYPAL_68_CB_requirements.7z in the first post of this thread. Download link of English version: https://www.mediafire.com/file/gprvnhf3bng8g8w/aboutbutton.uc.js/file Download link of German version: https://www.mediafire.com/file/59d1vtc5ghlcu1d/aboutbutton.uc.js/file
  7. Some weeks ago, @mina7601 reported an issue on GitHub relating to DevianArt. Its website was refusing to load in Mypal 68. And greyrat116 posted a solution to solve this problem. The variable layout.css.resizeobserver.enabled has to be set to true. Thank you, greyrat116 = @grey_rat ?, for posting this solution! The issue is closed now. Why do I mention this here? When posting an article or a comment in this forum, or an issue on GitHub, I love to use some animated gifs. The last time when I reported an issue on GitHub, I used one of these gifs. Here is the link to this issue: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/96 In New Moon 28, I had no problem to load this site and the animated gif was loading correctly either. But in Mypal 68, this site was loaded without showing that gif. Try it! Setting layout.css.resizeobserver.enabled to boolean value true solves this problem. Background: The ResizeObserver interface reports changes to the dimensions of an Element's content or border box, or the bounding box of an SVGElement. Anyway, thanks again to @mina7601 and presumably @grey_rat ( if my identification is correct, I'm not a Sherlock Holmes!) for posting and solving this issue! Cheers, AstroSkipper
  8. Yeah, that's presumably the truth. It's a question of time either. No one can be everywhere. But @feodor2 reads the issues and ,in a lot of cases, replies to them. Or other "experts" try to help.
  9. I don't think @feodor2 reads this thread. It was opened by a member. Therefore this thread is not an official one. If you have a request or whatever, you have to do that on GitHub. Here is a link to the issues: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues BTW, thanks for responding to my instructions for using CustomCSSforFx: https://msfn.org/board/topic/183657-mypal-68-in-windows-xp-custom-buttons-and-extensions/?do=findComment&comment=1220562 Cheers, AstroSkipper
  10. Universal Extractor 2 is a tool to extract files from any type of archive or installer. After the release of UniExtract2 2.0.0 RC 3 in 2020, a new nightly build has been uploaded this month. 11. My essential tools for solving problems in Windows XP — Part 1 — WU/MU tools WinUpdatesList: WinUpdatesList is a tool from NirSoft and displays the list of all Windows updates (Service Packs and Hotfixes) installed on your local computer. For hotfix updates, this utility also displays the list of files updated with these hotfixes. In addition, it allows you to instantly open the provided link to its Microsoft website, but you have to use in most cases the Wayback Machine nowadays. It provides more information about the selected update, uninstall an update, copy the update information to the clipboard, or save it to text/HTML/XML file. The latest and presumably last version is 1.33. Language files are available too. Links: Homepage: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wul.html Portable version: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wul.zip Installer version: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wul_setup.exe WinUpdatesView: WinUpdatesView is another simple tool from NirSoft that displays the history of Windows updates on your system. WinUpdatesView can load the Windows updates history from your local system, using API, and it can also read and parse the Windows updates database file (DataStore.edb) from external drive or from remote computer on your network. For every Windows update history record, WinUpdatesView displays the following fields: Title, Description, Install Date, Update Operation (Install, Uninstall, Not Started, In Progress), Operation Result (Succeeded, Succeeded With Errors, Failed, Aborted), Category, Information URL, Support URL, Uninstall Notes, Client Application ID, Service ID, Update ID, Revision Number, Unmapped Result Code, Server Selection, hResult. The latest version is 1.17. Language files are available too. WUMT can be used offline either. The version from 20.12.2016 is the last working in Windows XP. Link: https://retrosystemsrevival.blogspot.com/2021/12/windows-update-minitool-20122016.html Additionally, you need a file from Microsoft called wsusscn2.cab, dated from 09.12.2019, to use WUMT offline. You can get it by using the Wayback Machine. Link: https://web.archive.org/web/20191209214827/http://download.windowsupdate.com/microsoftupdate/v6/wsusscan/wsusscn2.cab Reset Windows Update Tool (Script): Reset Windows Update Tool (Script) resets the Windows Update Components and is said to be working properly. Since I had no problems regarding MU/WU recently and usually prefer manual methods to keep control, it has not been tested by me, so no guarantee of success and use at your own risk. I recommend to back up your system partition completely at first or at least the Windows folder SoftwareDistribution. Here is the homepage at GitHub: https://github.com/ManuelGil/Script-Reset-Windows-Update-Tool The last XP compatible version is 10.5.3.7: https://www.mediafire.com/file/k48ll6e41eypogy/ResetWUEng10.5.3.7.zip/file A less recent version 10.5.3.4, with a help file included, can be downloaded here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/wl0yrq98me8dfkj/ResetWUEng10.5.3.4.zip/file A list of all parts of my My essential tools for solving problems in Windows XP can be found in my post of Additional Resources. 12. In the need of a person with Python programming skills! We need a person with Python programming skills to implement TLS 1.3 and its ciphers to the latest version REV3e of ProxHTTPSProxy. Three ciphers associated with TLS 1.3 have to be added to existing package of REV3e. Its OpenSSL version 1.1.1d already supports TLS 1.3. To assess whether such a project can be realized, the source code can be viewed first, of course. This is the download link of ProxHTTPSProxy REV3e's source code: https://www.mediafire.com/file/s9027bdxffodbna/cryptography-2.8-py3.4_openssl-1.1.1d.rar/file. All information about ProxHTTPSProxy can be found in the first post of this thread: Any ideas or suggestions are welcome! If there is such a person, I'll be pleased to get your opinion whether such a project is possible or not. I personally cannot estimate the scope and the effort required for such a project, since I unfortunately do not have any knowledge in the Python programming language. That's the reason for this call. The goal is to get a proxy with the most recent protocol and its ciphers in Windows XP and to future-proof this OS. Thanks in advance! Kind regards, AstroSkipper
  13. Language Packs Mypal 68.12.4b is based on Firefox 68.12.0esr. Therefore, each language pack of Firefox 68.12.0esr can be installed to switch the UI of Mypal 68 to desired language. After installing the downloaded xpi file via Add-on Manager, you simply have to switch to your language by using the Mypal's setting page under section Language. Subsequently, a browser's restart is required, of course. Tested and working with the German language file de.xpi. Download link: https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/68.12.0esr/win32/xpi/ Attention! As of Mypal 68.13.0b, the language packs no longer work. They have to be adapted again.
  14. Top and Bottom scroll buttons Adds scroll to Top and Bottom buttons on all sites. This is one extension which is really working on most sites, beside a lot of crap. Now you can quickly scroll to top or bottom of a website. Tested version: 1.8.0 Download link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/top-and-bottom-scroll-buttons/
  15. The latest beta version of Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit is 1.13.1.481. This is the link to its post where it can be downloaded too: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/205865-malwarebytes-anti-exploit-113-build-481-released-may-18-2022/ I don't know if this version is Windows XP compatible. Some sites list it to be compatible, others don't specify in detail. You have to try, I don't use it. Cheers, AstroSkipper The last Windows XP compatible version seems to be 1.13.1.304. Have a look here: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/274921-a-brief-comment-on-using-mbae-with-windows-xp-sp3/ Cheers, AstroSkipper

  17. Hi @roytam1, thank you for sharing the link to CustomCSSforFx! I already knew that from before. CustomCSSforFx is to customize the browser as it did Classic Theme Restorer legacy add-on in the past. Maybe there are users here interested in UI customization basing on CSS styles. AFAIK, most of CustomCSSforFx's code was taken from Classic Theme Restorer. A lot of customizations can be made, but only by editing userchrome.css. I tried it, but it's nothing for me. And the customization of the Add-on Manager is awful. I am rather interested in custom buttons providing new useful functions and in good extensions definitely working in Mypal 68. But anyway, thanks again for your hint! Cheers, AstroSkipper
  18. Hi @mockingbird, create in your Mypal 68 profile folder a new subfolder chrome if not already existent. Now copy all files and folders into it. Then restart your Mypal 68. Eventually, some further settings have to be done, as I already described in the first post of this thread. CustomCSSforFx is to customize the browser as it did Classic Theme Restorer legacy add-on in the past. A lot of customizations can be made, but only by editing userchrome.css. 19. memoryMinimizationButton This custom button provides a button called Memory minimization and attempts to reduce RAM memory usage of Mypal 68. Most browsers do not free up RAM completely that is no longer needed after closing tabs. This custom button is very useful, especially for those users whose amount of RAM is low and who need to recover a bit of RAM's wasted amount. The same function can be accessed by calling up about:memory and clicking Minimize memory usage. Using the button Memory minimization, you can do it with only one click. The file memoryMinimizationButton.uc.js has to be copied in subfolder chrome of Mypal's profile folder. Tested and working. Requirements: Download package MYPAL_68_CB_requirements.7z in the first post of this thread. Download link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/xvo8jm4kaeerk8w/memoryMinimizationButton.uc.js/file
  20. Cookie Quick Manager An extension to manage cookies (view, search, create, edit, remove, backup, restore, protect from deletion and much more). Firefox 57+ is supported. This a very good cookie manager with all necessary features to have control over the cookies. Tested version: 0.5rc2 Download link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cookie-quick-manager/
  21. Update notification: 11/06/2022: @feodor2 released a new beta version: Mypal 68.12.4b. Download link: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/releases/download/68.12.4b/mypal-68.12.4.en-US.win32.zip Cheers, AstroSkipper
  22. Update notification: 10/06/2022: The file MYPAL_68_CB_requirements.7z has been updated and corrected. The download link is in the first post. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  23. RestartFirefoxButton_Movable (alternative version) This custom button provides a blue coloured button (similar to old Firefox versions) called Restart and performs a complete, real restart of Mypal 68. With a right or middle click userChrome.js cache is emptied. This is my favourite restart button. The file RestartFirefoxButton_Movable.uc.js has to be copied in subfolder chrome of Mypal's profile folder. The original version is a German one. I've translated it and provide an English version either. Tested and working. Requirements: Download package MYPAL_68_CB_requirements.7z in the first post of this thread. Download link of English version: https://www.mediafire.com/file/csomx0y4hfc2ezr/RestartFirefoxButton_Movable.uc.js/file Download link of German version: https://www.mediafire.com/file/7xddep6svyf4oqc/RestartFirefoxButton_Movable.uc.js/file
  24. AdBlocker Ultimate Completely remove ALL ads. No “acceptable” ads or whitelisted advertisers allowed. This free extension also helps block trackers and malware. For me a very good Ad blocker beside uBlock Origin. Tested version: 3.7.18 Download link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblocker-ultimate/
