  1. That sounds like a completely corrupt installation, though. I don’t have any of those problems at all. If I were you, I’d uninstall Panda completely, carry out a deep clean – particularly of all the Panda folders and the registry – and perhaps consider installing the older version 21.01.00.
  2. Apart from the fact that the PSANHost.exe process is rubbish, you need to exclude many programmes – particularly the more obscure ones – from monitoring. And not just the EXE file, but the entire folder in some cases. This also includes all security programmes, such as firewalls and so on, and all programmes that run constantly in the background and have your trust.
  3. I’m already working on a plan B in case Panda Dome 22.03.05 continues to be a nuisance. I’m currently observing version 21.01.00 on my second Windows XP partition, which I’ve never uninstalled or updated.
  4. This thread is actually only for Windows XP users. I had written back then that version 23.00.00 is not available for Windows XP, and that much is clear. Okay. The dates have always been confusing with Panda. There is no official version history, nor is there a changelog. The only file that can be used is VERSION.INI inside the programme folder. However, the build date does not have to match the release date. I'll just change the date to the build date of 12.08.2025 in my main article and in the list of all programmes.
  5. Incidentally, one thing that’s a bit of a shame about Panda Dome – particularly for paying customers – is the lack of programme updates since December 2025. That’s nearly seven months. And here is my statement about the Panda support from January: https://msfn.org/board/topic/184730-antimalware-firewall-and-other-security-programs-for-windows-xp-working-in-2023-and-hopefully-beyond/page/86/#findComment-1284505
  6. Yesterday night, I had a further crash of the PSANHost.exe process. I clicked the OK button and after a short delay the process was automatically restarted. The crash was related to the ntdll.dll file. But I couldn’t be bothered to look into it any further. I assume that since 2 July, Panda has been trying to load something that isn’t XP-compatible since there were no crashes previously. Just a theory, of course. But at least there was some self-healing.
  7. I reported an issue to Panda support long time ago. But I never got an answer. So don’t get your hopes up too much, even if you’re a paying customer! The reviews or comments you can read everywhere in the WWW state a non-existent support. I'm curious to see if they'll reply. Let me know if you feel like it!
  8. Ok. I was starting to think I’d fallen behind. In any case, Panda Dome 22.03.05 has been running for months without any problems, apart from yesterday – but that was only for a few minutes.
  9. Sorry, but facts are facts. Insults are insults. They weren’t sugar-coated, and they weren’t moderated. Not even by you. From where did you get a manual pattern update of Panda Dome? And as I already said, there are some regular background updates in terms of catalog things. I think relating to ads and offers which might cause such crashes.
  10. https://msfn.org/board/topic/177099-which-antiviruses-are-known-for-a-fact-to-be-working-on-xp-sp3-as-of-2019/page/23/#findComment-1228779 For science? You're kidding, aren't you? I suppose you mean for killing my Windows XP installation. That aside, do you really think I’d do something like that for someone who upvotes personal insults directed at me? Seriously? I would suggest to ask your chatty mate. Maybe he can chat up a solution for you.
  11. Is that supposed to be a touch of humour? I’ll take it that way, then. My thorough analysis has already been finished in terms of Panda when I wrote my previous post. No one with real-time protection. Except some unknown, paid ones from untrusted countries. I had a long, long go with Avast in the past. The last XP-compatible version is totally bloated and crap, even Avast Free Antivirus. I wouldn’t even bother analysing the tiniest little thing anymore. Avast has been a thing of the past for me for years.
  12. You mean Cauldron Filthcare?
  13. Extract Mypal 78.0.3 in your target folder. When starting the browser, create a new profile folder in your desired location. Then close the browser. Remove all files in your just created profile folder and copy all files from your old profile folder into it. Restatt the browser. When doing so, you won't lose anything. Additionally, I’ve created a very special user.js file that’s tailored precisely to my ageing hardware. It’s only ever loaded once, right at the first start of the browser. This is how I’ve been installing a new version of Mypal for years.
  14. Thanks but I am not interested in workarounds. Either the forum editor is able to process code syntax in the dedicated code block or it is simply unusuable and crap.
  15. @jumper Try the regular DOS command start with paramrter min and "" and cmd with slash c followed by ffplay -autoexit -vf subtitles=filename=\'"Adele - Easy On Me (Live at the NRJ Awards 2021).mp4"\' "Adele - Easy On Me (Live at the NRJ Awards 2021).mp4". I have to write this way as otherwise I get a 403 forbidden.
  16. Subject: Panda Dome I had a few brief issues with Panda Dome 22.03.05 today. The PSANHost.exe process crashed three times. A quick restart after clearing all temporary files, and everything is back to normal. The PSANHost.exe process, which is part of Panda Dome, is known for causing problems from time to time, but to use that as a reason to declare Panda Dome’s demise - as has been celebrated in another thread here - is completely unfounded and lacks any factual basis. Problems with this process often occur when updates are being downloaded in the background from the Panda server. And you don't have to reinstall Panda Dome right away. First, a thorough analysis is necessary. Anything else is just amateurish, unscientific chit-chat. Anyway! Panda Dome has been running completely normally again for hours.
  17. Ok. Thanks! This one is working again. So it seems it really was a subtitle issue. I suppose that was due to your "scaling down to basic" since it didn't occur in version 8.1. Anyway! I'm looking forward to your next releases and perhaps one day a "scaling up to standard".
  18. It's no longer even possible to enter simple, harmless DOS code in the forum editor. Not in the text area, not as a code block, and not as a quote. No longer a forum for coders who want to post their code, or must.
  19. @autodidact When testing, please use this command: I think it is a problem showing the embedded subtitle in version 8.2 as the standard command without subtitle works: Maybe you can bring yourself to build your releases the way you always have in the past. BTW, the MSFN editor is such a piece of junk. To inject this code into my post, is an absolute nightmare. I had to simplify my command. MSFN seems to consider completely harmless DOS commands to be dangerous.
  20. Unfortunately, the problem persists. I downloaded the video with same yt-dlp options once again. Same behaviour. Your ffplay.exe opens and immediately closes. Here is my suggestion. I'll send you a PM with a link to the video file, and you can test it in-depth on your system. Ok? If you need the yt-dlp log generated while downloading the video, do not hesitate to ask for it here.
  21. Thanks for all your efforts! I'll test that when I'm back at my Windows XP computer.
  22. That's why I thought you were using a static IP. But if you can get a new IP via power-cycling, then your IP is of course assigned dynamically, and, however, you are then also able to reconnect by different options, a reconnect tool, a self-created script or whatever. BTW, my reconnect batch file uses curl.exe, and my router can even be reconnected by an Android app. If you wonder why a reconnect is such important, the answer is easy. Once your current external IP is blacklisted by a website or service, you need to reconnect your router or establish a VPN connection and delete your cookies and cache logically first. This is, of course, age-old knowledge, and I’ve been doing it this way for decades. BTW, I never had any problems connecting to https://o.rthost.win.
  23. I would never sign up for a contract with my internet service provider that includes a static IP address. My IP address is, of course, dynamic. And I’ve created a batch script that, when double-clicked, immediately reconnects and displays both the old and new external IP addresses.

  25. This was triggered by yt-dlp's option --embed-thumbnail. But as I said your previous version 8.1 has no problems playing this video.
