  1. Very good! Glad it works for you! For Dave and mina it's working too. Good news! Fixing was apparently successful.
  2. Ok, so you test it with and without spaces. Right? And does it work for you? One PM sounds good but I think I'll leave it as it is. Dave and me are working on a special problem which is not a feature of my package.
  3. Hi @xpandvistafan, didn't know you'd be interested too. There are really more beta testers here than future users! But anyway, I'll send you a link via PM! And you will be my last beta tester! Too much writing of PMs! Cheers, AstroSkipper
  4. Hi my beta testers, @Dave-H, @NotHereToPlayGames and @mina7601, Dave found problems with my configuration program Configure PopMenu.exe and the starter program ProxyPopMenu.exe. They can't process paths with with spaces in them. All my tested paths didn't have any blanks. Therefore I had to fix both programs. Furthermore the documentation in my package still had to be completed. I did that now. Therefore I'll send you a PM with a link of new update package. This archive contains only those files which have to be exchanged. Cheers, AstroSkipper
  5. Good to know! Wasn't sure about it. Have a lot of fun while testing! Hope you'll like it.
  6. @NotHereToPlayGames, did you ever use ProxHTTPSProxy before?
  7. Due to the circumstance that other readers can't retrace such comments, send me your feedback via PM! Thanks in advance, AstroSkipper
  8. Hi @NotHereToPlayGames and @mina7601, thanks for wanting to be beta testers too! There are more beta testers here than future users! I'll send you both a PM! Cheers, AstroSkipper
  9. Hi @Dave-H, thanks for wanting to be a beta tester! Never had a beta tester before! I'll send you a PM! Cheers, AstroSkipper
  10. Rest in peace, @rloew! People like you won't be forgotten! Greetings from an old customer.
  11. Ok, the browser is called Kafan and not Kaftan. I was already starting to doubt my Google skills. Thanks for the link!
  12. Kaftan Browser? Never heard of it! Any links? I googled it and found nothing.
  13. Announcement: ProxHTTPSPoxy's systray menu will be released in the next days The test phase of ProxHTTPSPoxy's systray menu has been finished successfully and I've decided to publish it in the next days. I still have to configure the download package, title it, write documentation and check it all. Here is the latest screenshot of ProxHTTPSPoxy's systray menu: @Dave-H, as you can see I followed your suggestion to formulate the items as clear as possible for all users. Thanks again for your opinion! Cheers, AstroSkipper
  14. Windows Update Error Codes If an error code occurs while accessing AU/WU/MU, it's helpful to understand the meaning of it. Here is a very comprehensive list of Windows Update Error Codes: http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/archive/wuc.htm Another list of these codes with more detailed descriptions is the "Complete List of Windows Update Error Codes" and can be found here: http://woshub.com/all-windows-update-error-codes/ Legacy Update also provides a list of Windows Update Error Codes. Here is the link: https://legacyupdate.net/errorcodes Cheers, AstroSkipper
  15. Optime! Homo qui oblitus est nominis sui vel scire nolit. Non est melius nomen! I love it! Back to topic! If there is no problem in Windows 7 32 Bit, then it' s not a 64 Bit problem. The function seems to be supported in more recent OSs, presumeably Windows Vista or 7 and later and therefore not a 64 Bit related problem. And if so, you've got a chance to get it working using Extended Kernel. Try it! Vale! AstroSkipper
  16. Salve! I love Latin and I have to say "nomen est omen" at first. But back to topic! I have same version in my Windows XP Professional 32 Bit system and I rather doubt that there is a more recent one. I think your source of information is Stack Overflow and it seems to be as you already said, the function RegGetValue is supported in XP 64bit and later. Therefore no chance, I think. Sorry for the bad news! Regarding your "KernelEx" there was an ExtendedXP ( Extended Kernel for XP) from 2017 but project was cancelled by author, afaik. You can find it here: Maybe some experts here do have more information for you. Kind regards, AstroSkipper
  17. Here are my experiences with Mypal 68 until now. Windows XP Professional with all POSReady updates is installed on a very old computer with an Intel Pentium Northwood 2.80 GHz CPU (single core, 32 Bit), 1.5 GB SD-RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphic card. My settings in about:config are: dom.ipc.processCount -> 1 browser.tabs.remote.autostart -> false That means I use the browser in single process mode only. Running Mypal 68 with 5 extensions and one empty tab, it consumes 245 MB of RAM. Running Mypal 68 with 5 extensions and three loaded tabs (Google, MSFN, Github), it consumes 349 MB of RAM. For me, perfect values especially regarding my low hardware resources. Mypal 68 is working fine and flawlessly. The overall performance is perfect, cumbersome web sites are loading fast without permanent processor load as I always observe in roytam's releases. I am totally happy, regarding the early state of development. Of course, a lot of functions are missing, (un)installing of extensions is not working properly and some sites fail to work as they should do, but anyway, for an early build very impressive. I'm looking forward to the next releases. So long! AstroSkipper
  18. In history of v11 and 13.0 no problems so far! 360Chtome v13.5 I do not use, therefore I can't check your observation on this version. Sorry!
  19. You mean something like Speeddial for Firefox and Pale Moon? If so, try Speed Dial 2: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/speed-dial-2-new-tab/jpfpebmajhhopeonhlcgidhclcccjcik or Visual bookmarks: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/visual-bookmarks/jdbgjlehkajddoapdgpdjmlpdalfnenf or Simple Speed Dial (looks similar to old Speeddial): https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/simple-speed-dial/gpdpldlbafdmhlmcdllcjgoigmpjonfc Cheers, AstroSkipper
  20. I forgot a zero and corrected my post, so not 64 KB but 640 KB RAM. Although totally off-topic (sorry for that!), I forgot to mention two very old computers I own: an Atari 800 XL with 64 KB RAM of year 1984 and an Atari 1040 ST with 1 MB RAM (upgraded to unbeliebable 4 MB) of year 1986. Both Atari computers are working and fully functional in today. That was quality at its finest and will never be repeated. My Atari 800 XL is 38 and my Atari 1040 ST 36 years old. And they have survived hard times!
  21. A less-than-ideal solution for the error code 0x80072efe or 0x80096010 caused by the AU client in Windows XP If you notice the error code 0x80072efe or 0x80096010 in your system event log and you want to get rid of these errors in a fully updated Windows XP system, you have simply to turn off Automatic Updates in AU applet located in control panel. The reasons for these errors are different and described in detail in another post of mine: Cheers, AstroSkipper
  22. No problems here when opening, closing and opening again settings in V11.
  23. Which error message? Never seen one when opening the settings.
  24. I totally agree! I do never store passwords in any browsers, but for me there is a significant difference between an European build and Russian or Chinese build of a browser due to telemetry, security, sense of justice, influence of goverment, political motivation ... and therefore trust in such creators.
