  1. Could you elaborate a little more? I was planning to boot WinPE via PXE into RIS. (however, I am using the ramdisk method). I am curious to know what you are talking about.
  2. I have the same problem, not sure what I am doing wrong either. BUT they don't show up in office update though. So I know they get installed. (I.E, when I don't slip stream, they show up in office update, when I do slipstream, they are no longer in office update). Not been able to figure this out for a while. Any suggestions would help.
  3. Check out IPCop as well. My preferred choice!
  4. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Eset\Nod\CurrentVersion\Kernel] "StatisticsEnabled"=dword:00000000 "SampleEnable"=dword:00000000
  5. Hi Guys, I searched the documentation provided but did not find the answer I am looking for. I have a catagory in WPI called Instant Messengers where I have Messenger Live and the Messenger Plus! Live addon. The problem I am having is getting Messenger Plus! Live to install AFTER the actual Messenger Live gets installed. I have already made a dependancy (Selecting Plus auto selects Messenger) but Plus always attempts to install first (and fails) because Messenger Live isn't installed yet. I tried using the Install Order keys, but these are in a Catagory so I believe it doesn't take into effect. Any tips? Thanks!
  6. Will you be making an English one by any chance? Looks really good!
  7. Is there a list available that has the names of all the modified files? What I want to do is use this in a VM build, and extract all the modified files out, cab them, and put them in my Original source (slipstreamed)...
  8. Just for testing purposes, when you join them the first time a reboot, have you tried typing this in the command prompt: gpupdate /force
  9. Just wanted to say Thanks and letting you know that your work does not go unappreciated!
  10. But you can also do this in WinPE winbom.ini, you would just need a different winbom.ini for each case... The following example configures two physical hard disks, creating a full-size partition on the first disk and three partitions on the second disk. [DiskConfig] Disk1 = Disk1.Config Disk2 = Disk2.Config [Disk1.Config] WipeDisk = Yes Size1 = * PartitionType1 = Primary FileSystem1 = NTFS QuickFormat1 = Yes [Disk2.Config] Size1 = 4000 Size2 = 4000 Size3 = * PartitionType1 = Primary FileSystem1 = NTFS FileSystem2 = FAT32 QuickFormat2 = Yes
  11. Well as long as it is possible to make a hardware independent WIM image of XP, then I am all for it! Thanks!!
  12. Why is it that everyone uses Diskpart to format/partion etc when WinPE has the built in capability already? This is what I use in my WinPE 1.5 winbom.ini file... [DiskConfig] Disk1 = Disk1.Config [Disk1.Config] WipeDisk = Yes Size1 = * PartitionType1 = Primary FileSystem1 = NTFS QuickFormat1 = Yes SetActive1 = Yes All of this and MORE are documented in the winpe.chm file found on the WinPE disk...
  13. I wish i knew how to do that. everything we do is cached locally. copying to the local drive on login, and copying back to server on logout. I think I have found the solution! http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_...erver-2003.html
  14. MAN! This has been around since January?!!? Wow, how did I miss this!
  15. I thought the whole idea of roaming profiles is that it doesn't transfer those files LOCALLY but are stored on the server. So it won't matter what machine you go on, you are always indirectly mapping to that server where you can access your mydocs, desktop, exchange store, etc...Or do I have this wrong? In my environment @ work, I know that nothing is copied locally, and I have seen that my MyDocuments is acually being mapped to \\USERSRV\<usernamehere>$\Mydocuments etc...
  16. I don't know in detail, but the words you want to google around are Routing and Remote Access
  17. Thanks for your post but I have a question for you...using this new technique of WIM images...is it still only machine specific, i.e. can only be used on that particular hardware set? I thought I read that with WIM images, you can deploy that on any machine (hardware independent)...otherwise why would we use this method over say Ghosting?
  18. I know this thread is over a year old, but it helped me recently so I just wanted to say Thanks!
  19. post back when you do, kinda curious to know what the problem might be...
  20. Not exactly a solution to your problem, but perhaps very helpful http://dotnetjunkies.com/WebLog/unknownref...cles/12284.aspx
  21. What weather Gadget are you using? Could you perhaps explain a bit more what ENG+DLL rar contains? The site you link to is not in English... I also noticed that it contains an explorer.exe (so I am assuming its patched somehow)...what exactly is patched...and what's the deal with the .mui file?
  22. Did you perhaps not read my multitude of replies to this thread? Intel 10.3 drivers + PE 1.6 = works. I'm using it. Right now. And it's not just me, I have ~25 technicians using my CD on dozens of Dell, IBM and HP devices daily without issue. Whatever the problem is in this thread, it isn't specific to the Intel 10.3 drivers and PE 1.6; there's something else wrong in his build that we simply don't have visibility to. Well then, that solves that! Thanks guys!
  23. I am curious to try this, but this is quite an expensive piece of software... http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/accessories/servi...trabuilder.html
  24. I await your guide! And for those who want more info on BDD Vista, check out http://www.microsoft.com/technet/windowsvi...oy/bddguid.mspx
