  1. I know this is an old thread BUT: Does anyone know how to change the default update frequency of Virus definitions from Weekly to Daily? By Default, if you do a silent install, Definitions are only updated on a weekly basis. You can change / check this by opening up the tray icon, File -> Schedule Updates. You will see by default it is Weekly, and you can manually change it to Daily. Does anyone have any idea on how to do this silently (i.e. script or registry)? Thanks!!
  2. This did not solve the problem for me. (It actually gave me more errors...) Perhaps you could post the snippet of code that is to be removed. Thanks!
  3. What exactly goes this executable do behind the scenes? Unload / reload dll? Regtweak? What? A little uncomfy with running executables that I know little about...
  4. I would also like to know if there are any switches / options for unattended installation...that would be nice!
  5. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ork2003/...1364081033.aspx http://download.microsoft.com/download/Off...-US/offinst.EXE
  6. No difference, the error just occurs after the sleep command window disappears...
  7. Is there any chance you could send me the instructions to disable the error message as well? I am receiving "Could not open reboot configuration file: c:\rb_config.js". I am running the wpi from a cd on Windows XP Pro (though I have noticed it when run locally), I have done nothing but basic configuration to the wpi I am not calling any reboots. It happens towards the end of my Office 2003 with slipstreamed updates install. The installs will not continue untill the error window is closed. Once that window is closed I get "A runtime error has occured would you like to debug? Line: 461 Error: Object expected. It also blanks out the install progress window for the WPI, removes the text and colapses the the pause and resume buttons untill the error is closed as well. Once you say no to debug the progress bar and application list comes back, I am not sure on the buttons. Thanks for any help you can offer. I have the exact same problem installing the exact same application (Same error message and line number too), Office was being installed on its own. 1 Application with 2 commands. In my config, command1 install office 2003 SP2, command 2 is a 'ohotfix.exe' which installs all post sp2 hotfixes. The error occurs at the EXACT stage where ohotfix executes. I have noticed this behavior before but what 'seems' to be occurring is that the installer 'wants to advance' to the next item before 'ohotfix.exe' complete. Perhaps a better example would be in the case of 3 appz...I notice that the marker in the installer.hta is slow in updating? (i.e. its sitting at app1 while app2 is already being launched, then shortly after the marker updates)...I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but I have noticed it for a while...I don't know how exactly to describe this but I am trying... If there is any specific testing you wish me to do, please let me know. I work with WPI all day in VM's testing, re-testing...so let me know if you want me to try test code...PM me for my email addy if needed...
  8. Thanks! I run on lots of media (USB Sticks, network shares, CD/DVD). And I don't exactly use the 'ideal' folder structure...I have the Applications folder outisde the WPI folder...so I use %Root% in all my paths. This is a very nice tool. Has there been any changes / discovered bugs in v6 since the day you posted it? I noticed that in order for me to show pictures correctly (which are stored in the Applications folder), I have the path look like: ../../Applications/Adobe Reader/AdobeReader.png Took me a while to figure that out! Don't know if that was intentional or not...I know you expect the icons to be in the Graphics folder but for neatness, I have each individual icon in its respective application folder...
  9. Is there a way to remove the manual, showsource, and about WPI links?
  10. Holy crap! Nice! I love them! Thanks man!
  11. Thank you! I will be trying this out soon!
  12. Wow, I feel like a noob and I have been using this app for a year. Thanks for pointing that out...lol
  13. No. I use RyanVM but no nLite. I don't even use the WPI feature in RyanVM. I simply use WPI independently as a 'techy tool' to help with client computers that need basic appz
  14. Does anyone have the solution for Office updates still showing up in Microsoft Update, despite being slipstreamed? They do not show up in Office Update, just in Microsoft Update...I know there has been no response in over a year but I never did find a solution for this and I have come across this again...
  15. Anyone having issues deleting items from their config using the gui? I select the entry I want, press delete, it deletes but when I go back to the main WPI page, it's still listed, and once I go back into the config again, it's still there...Anyone else experiencing this?
  16. I got the EXACT same error when installing a different app on a Vista OS. However, I cannot recall if I ran WPI with Admin previlages (it was autolaunched from a USB Key). I will be doing more testing to narrow down what the cause is.
  17. Nice work I don't think the doc/manual has been updated to reflect the new changes / Vista support...i.e. getOSVer...btw, what does getOsVer return for Windows Server 2003?
  18. I just realized now that you posted back. I will give this a shot and will post back with results. Thanks!
  19. Thanks for your reply. I confirmed that the 'Autostart' is now unchecked once Daemon Tools is launched. Just need to get rid of this 'Check for updates'...If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears...
  20. Still no English version eh? This is probably the nicest setup billboard I have seen to-date for Media Center 2005...
  21. Link is broken, anyone have this and willing to post?
  22. Does anyone know how to customize daemon tools silently? (i.e. Turn OFF autostart and turn OFF check for updates)?
  23. How did you get the OS/Version/Build No. on the bottom right of your installations in screenshots on the first page?
  24. To be added to the wish list: Options -> Interface Tab -> ->Show Extra Buttons ->Do not show if <insert condition here> All I want is something like: "Do not show if Fileexists("%root%\final.tag"); That way, it is real easy for me to say if this a pre-production or production version...the options disappear if in a production version and appear in a non-production version.... Just a thought...
