  1. I'm all for NOD32 due to its small footprint and Centralized Management...
  2. I would like to know this too...Thanks in Advance!
  3. You probably need the F6 AHCI Floppy driver for either Intel 945 or Intel 965 chipset...Those are available on Intel's site for all Os's...but I do not believe Sony has XP Drivers for the laptop itself...
  4. I've been doing some troubleshooting and have found this: If I remove the command from my config to install the updates: "%Root%\\Applications\\Microsoft Office 2003\\Updates\\hotfix.cmd"' office installs correctly. So far so good. If I re-run WPI and install the hotfixes as a SEPARATE application everything works fine!!! It is only when I couple them into 1 Application install that it seems to give me problems....OR If I select both, Office 2003 SP2 AND Post SP2 Hotfixes within the SAME WPI instance it gives me the error....I'll post screens for what I mean in a bit here... I am going to do more testing to see if I can narrow this down...
  5. Any thoughts / ideas on why I still get this error?
  6. *EDIT: Same error occurs with Office 2007* Just downloaded 6.1 and I did a 1-application install of Office 2003 SP2 with post SP2 hotfixes being installed with 'ohotifx.exe' and I got a runtime error. Will post a screenshot soon. ECHO Please Wait... SET Hotfixfiles=%~dp0% "%Hotfixfiles%ohotfix.exe" When I click 'No' to the debug screen, the HTA closes, but the updates continue to install... I mapped a network drive first then launched WPI from there...I will do an install from an ISO (in VMware) and see if that same thing happends...will keep you posted...
  7. Before you do all that, check the [defaults] section of the txtsetup.oem be sure it is set to load (as default) the driver for your particular hardware. WinPE will ONLY load what is under that [default] section.
  8. Wow. This is an amazing thread and well worth the 3-page read. I thank you guys for sharing this information!
  9. Nice guide. In the appendix, you mention the use of BTS Driver packs in WinPE but in the guide, you did not mention how to use them...How did you get them to work? I thought the DriverPacks were not compatible in WinPE installations....Did you just end up extracting the packs and then using a script to drill down to each folder and inject them?
  10. I would just like to say 'Thank you' and keep up the good work! Let me know if you need testers!
  11. OoO...Yes I do...Well...the machines I will be installing this on will...But wait, in Vista, I will launching this with Administrator privileges...hence it shouldn't prompt for UAC...I am installing this through WPI which is launched with Admin privileges...so it should be ok!
  12. Correct. But its not clickable...I guess making it disappear is a good idea...
  13. Isn't there an easier way by just going into the options and enabling 'If grayed condition is use, disable the checkbox' ??
  14. If I remove the 'GRISOFTAVG' exclude from just 1 of the Symantec config's, everything works...weird eh?
  15. The error occurs between the 3 configurations listed shown below. If I remove the exclude from either Symantec products, the error goes away... prog[pn]=['Grisoft AVG Anti-virus 7.5']; desc[pn]=['AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition is one of the most popular solutions to provide basic security protection on home and non-commercial PCs. 16. Take your time! Post back when you're ready!
  17. I will be more than Happy to test it for you! Right now at work, I am running Vista Business Edition and I also have access to Enterprise Edition (although I doubt it will matter which Edition I am testing on).
  18. I have silently installed WLM 8.1. I now wish to manipulate the settings located in the General tab, but I can't find them in the Registry!! Where are they located? I have included a screenshot of the area I wish to manipulate...Thanks in advance for your help guys!
  19. Is this version compatible with Vista? It didn't install under Vista for me. Works fine on XP Pro! Thanks!
