  1. I use the method's described in the Deploy.chm of the R2 Discs...
  2. WOAH, I'm going to try this with my VM right now... EDIT: Didn't work in my VM, it just halts at a black screen...doesn't go back to windows...
  3. I know this thread is really old but I see this as having some important implications given all the new dual core cpu's that are out...
  4. Confirmed! It works! Awesome! Thanks dude!
  5. You could COMPLETELY remove the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and RunOnce keys...
  6. By what method are you installing the applications? If you can determine which application installs what startup, you could always remove that specific entry by created a reg file that would run after the program installation completes. There is a way to stop services via a reg file. Google around and check the regtweaks forum for that.
  7. All I can tell you is that I can CONFIRM your problem. This has been on my to-do list for sometime. I have not been able to get it to work...
  8. Yup, for example, I wanted the Flash plugin for Opera, so I downloaded the Flash player installer, ran it in the box, grabbed the plugin from the Opera's plugin folder it made, then deleted the box's contents. Although the current version seems to have a filesize limit, which sucks. It should be whatever your HD free space is... Isn't that Unreal Tournament?
  9. You could get a 1KW (1000W) PSU...You know...incase you need extra power....for a microwave...yeah.... Product Review
  10. WOAH, dude. This is sweet. I will try it out...
  11. here you are What are the commandlines to use this on an MSI again?
  12. Interesting...I have the Keyboard in MCE and I recall seeing a specific update just for the eHome Receiver / Keyboard. It wasn't a high priority update, just an update...I will try to find the hotifx number for you... EDIT: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912024/
  13. You may also have Spyware also. I do not believe Mcafee scans for that. also try running services.msc in the command window and looking for suspicious names.
  14. I think BTS has a lot of experience with this issue. I believe he encountered this error with his Driver Packs. You may want to talk to him.
  15. I believe the feature you are looking for is only available in Outlook Express (not the Outlook bundled with Office). The Outlook bundled with office only creates profiles per User login (i.e. For each individual user on your PC). A potential workaround could be to create such accounts and when launching outlook, right click on it and choose Run As...and login as that user. Furthermore, you can hide these user from showing up the login page (essentially, we are just creating hidden user accounts...not the best way to go but for your situation, it may work).
  16. First off, to skip this, you DO NOT need a pathced dll for this, as erroneously stated above. You need the Unattendswitch AND THIS: In the [GuiUnattended], you need: OEMSkipWelcome Enables unattended Setup to skip the Welcome page in GUI-mode Setup and Mini-Setup. Syntax OEMSkipWelcome = 0 | 1 Values 0 Displays the Welcome page in GUI-mode Setup and Mini-Setup. 1 Skips the Welcome page in GUI-mode Setup and Mini-Setup. Example OEMSkipWelcome = 0 Dependency OEMPreinstall = Yes Comments Important If OemPreinstall in the [unattended] section of Unattend.txt is set to Yes, unattended Setup automatically stops on the Welcome page. To avoid this pause in your factory or testing environment, set OEMSkipWelcome = 1. Do not ship any computer with OEMSkipWelcome = 1. Instead, change OEMSkipWelcome in the [GuiUnattended] section of Sysprep.inf to 0 before delivering the computer to the customer.
  17. I posted a link above, verified that it works! Don't know how long...get it fast... Not a problem. I should be taking you for all your work in with WPI (which I use quite regularly. I see you in the RyanVM forums too!)
  18. WHAT? Really? What the heck...So how do you slipstream updates? I never knew this...is it even possible even do use BTS packs?
  19. Woah, SMS 2003 ( I am assuming with OSD) supports the new WIM image format for deploying XP? I had no idea...
  20. You could try stopping word from being your default for composing emails. I dont know for office XP, but for 2003: Tools > Options > Mail Format uncheck use word as default.
  21. http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/f...5/MSPF10ENU.msi **NM, Taken down. Sorry, I'll find it. Gimme a sec here. **EDIT AGAIN Here we GO!!! http://frostyle.servehttp.com/downloads/MSPF10ENU.msi
  22. I think you guys would like to know that Microsoft no longer supports this as of Friday July 14. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1989425,00.asp http://www.betanews.com/article/Microsoft_..._App/1152917352
  23. You would probably need to post this in the Driver Pack Forum...
  24. Thanks for your reply. I am not having a problem with Office Update when I integrate. I am only having a problem with MS Update.
