Hello All I have just baught a new maxtor 200Gb hard drive. but when i went to format it reported to be only 130Gb. My bios can see it and reports it as 200gb but windows 2k pro cannot. I have found a MS Kb article that references a Reg hack in XP Sp1.... But not for W2kSp4. My questions are: Has anyone else had this problem? Has the reg hack worked in XP? Would the same reg hack work in 2k? Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance Mad

I have had both low spec and high spec cards from both manufacturers... However. I have also used cheap over the counter cards with the chipsets from nVidia and Ati but the rest of the card was "made in taiwan" - very generic. However... If you want to use a high spec machine, or a gaming pc, then i would recomend either of these manufacturers, BUT dont buy a non-genuine card. Make sure it is a branded card as there perfomance is greater. As for which is best? Well i have been using Ati for around 10 years and have never had replace one card ! as for nVidia cards.... Only Matrox cards have been a problem.. the cheaper ones last longer ! Ati 4 me

To my knowledge there is no way of making TS to open a new account on the same PC. The best option is to create a shortcut on the desktop to "Logoff.exe". This is the way i have got round it in my network. All the users use that instead of the start button. Obviosly te users need to be told to use the logoff icon instead of the start menu option. I have also disabled the shutdown option on the start menu and removed the disconnect link. However, if there is a timeout, the user could lose data if the auto disconnect option is set too short. Hope this is of some help!

It would seem that the file would still have the permisions if moved, but not if copied as Turbomcp said. So the correct answer is the second line... If the target folder does not have the same permisions as the source folder, then the user cannot browse to the folder to use the file ! Does that make sense? Hope this is of some help !

Is the new mail sever working 100%? and what connectors are installed on the new server? As long as the new server is working 100%, and its not pointing to the other mail server then the exchange should be alright. If you shut down the other server, does the mail still work?

Spam is a pain we all agree... But heres a few neat little tricks ! Set up a dummy email account, then use that fow all the spam, junk etc. If your e-mail allows auto forwarding, then find the spam that has a function to reply to unsubscribe, and use the unsubscribe addy to forward to rest of your junk to ! It works a treat! lol

Are you useing roaming profiles? Can administrator log onto the domain? Can the same users log on else where? Please answer these questions... Its possible the user accunts are currupt...
