How to convert 5 x ISO to 1 DVD Please Help
clavicle replied to Seanie's Show's topic in Windows XP 64 Bit Edition
Copy contents of all cds in one folder start cd1 onwards. Take care that you don't mess with the root structure of the cd1, which is generally the setup cd in all cases. There may be a few folders which are common in all the folders and these require to be overwritten and windows would ask you do so, in that case overwrite. It would be better to rewrite the contents on a RW DVD and check fully the installation before finalising. See if the cds are not copyrighted! -
So finally I have installed both UAe v2 and xpize 4, atleast no bugs till now. I agree with matt5108, the task switcher is really good looking. The themes go nicely too. Good work!

Thanks Xpero! Downloaded and installed without slipstreaming i386 and all changes seem to be working well. Could you help to change the folder icons in the registry editor? These really look awful and remind more of 16 color Win95. Good job!!

Port scanning may initially be associated with trojans try to gain entry into your computer. Many worms are associated with this activity too. But the best way to check all these is using a firewall. You haven't mentioned any ill effects. You can also use the inbuilt XP firewall (sp2), or zone alarm or Sygate. I personally use Sygate and it is free and everyday I am checked from these similar port scans on my network.

Wallah! Great indeed. Nice ones to cycle everyday's desktop! -
Thanks @ssmokee for that link. In fact here in India we don't have any options and I am very happy that I could lay my hands on a Vantec ps and till this time it is working perfectly. All different voltages of different peripherals remain almost constantly and that is what matters the most!

Legal!

Nice replacement. But I feel tooltips could be provided and of course I would prefer a % button and user option for button size and fonts! Keep it up!

Almost after a year I would like to revive the thread started by Astalavista! I too want to buy a LCD monitor 19", moderately to be used for games, more for video editing and mostly for text based applications, browsing et al. So can I get the preferences from you all. What about Dell or Samsung. These I prefer, but suggestions are really required to invest wisely. Thanks in advance!

The code is ok, but you can try host of other %cdrom% redirection options on the page which I have linked above. Or simply try using a fixed letter for your cdrom drive. In above code you would require file fsutil.exe present in Windows XP. So if that is not with you, try other options.

This situation can also occur if you are using non-standard resolution /and/or refresh rate which has been set using a program liek powerstrip or nvidia cpanel/properties. And in case the program is not running, then after resuming the pc generally the display fails to resume fully. Try to see if that is the case.

As per your question I understand that you wish to install office from your cd drive. That really is not a problem. All your commands are ok only need is to change the drive letter for your program location in a cd. start /wait "" %cdrom%\Applications\Office2003\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- Replace %cdrom% with drive letter or redirect it using a batch command like this one: @echo off&Mode 55,3&Color f2&Title Script By Yzöwl for %%a in (a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z) do ( fsutil fsinfo drivetype %%a:|find "CD-ROM">nul 2>&1&&echo Your CD-ROM drive^(s^) -^> %%a:\ ) ping -n 4 127.0.0.1>nul&goto :eof Thanks to Yzöwl The applications you have listed have already been covered extensively. Try to search.

@Martin Zugec Yes I would support the idea of ceritfication and logo and this really could be a global acceptance formula.

Or may be "console 1.42" is what you may try. It has got all the options of making your dos console absolutely contemporary to WinXP. Can be even modded to use transparency and many other features. Try it!

There is difference between a theme and msstyle. What stylexp changes is msstyle and windows properties via desktop change both the theme and the vs. So in order to get a uniformity, first use a msstyle, then save it as a theme (or use theme packaged in your style) and use the theme always to get the same settings.

I am associting the files using a batch file. Can someone please guide me what is the error in my bat file, because the files with long names (or spaces) do not open, especially in vlc player? assoc .dat=VCDMovie ftype VCDMovie="%programfiles%\vlc\vlc.exe" %%1 %%* Like a file "c:\Music\My videos\my saved video.dat" doesn't open in VLC, but a file without name space can be opened. -
Summer heat of India and my Prescott 3.0 CPU went off to 83 deg Celsius and four fans really didn't help. All is safe till now!!
